Yes! It’s so important for folks not to attach their self worth to their job! Thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience Karo!!!

It's fun and interesting to watch you. I'm glad you're back on track and enjoying your work ;) Btw. perfectionism is my problem too, especially when work in a team. We just need to know how to control it :) Edit: Just finished watching :D Just wanna add, I also cook (started some time ago), do ironing and other housework. I'm not ashamed of it, it keeps me going, clears me head and that's most important to me, also don't wanna be a couch potato :) I used to train parkour a long time ago then stopped for some time, now train calisthenics and love it! We developers need some kind of movement to stay fit and healthy.

Thanks! 😊 I think perfectionism might be actually very common amongst programmers 🙈 I have a really good flow with one of my teammates now where we help each other curb that need to make everything perfect beyond reason 😂 very helpful 👌 Totally agree with all the rest and yay for calisthenics! 💪

I went through something similar. Actually I was laid off and at first I didn't change and was just stressing and just studying and prepping for interviews. After 2 months and not passing my billion interviews I decided to slow down and relax. Prior to the layoff I was getting a lot of migraines. After they went away. I started to read again and doing bike rides. It was really nice. Although when funds were low I had to really try to find a job and I did. It was necessary for me and I'm glad it happened. I'm glad you had some time off too. We all need it. No shame in doing what we love by the way.

Sorry to hear about the layoffs but also glad it worked well for you in the end! 😊 I think it's great you managed to step back and spend time relaxing so that when you got that next job it wasn't under so much stress. Thank you for sharing, it's really reassuring to hear others' stories! 🙏

@@KaroCodes life happens, but yeah we need to tell others that they're not alone. Sometimes just hearing something can make a difference with someone

Amazing! I completely agree, asking yourself if you are being driven by internal or external motivation.
