I’m driving from mid SC to the Canada Border there and back so a total of 38 hours of driving. Going up by myself and coming back with my partner. Please pray for us lol
Planning a 24 Hour drive, solo, from Florida to South Dakota in September to see my dad. I haven’t seen him in 22 years. Staying there six days then driving 24 hours back, solo. Going to find a place mid way to sleep a few hours plus bringing snacks, caffeine, food, and a solid playlist. Nervous and excited at the same time. I love road trips!
How do you get to the point you dont see your parent for 22 years. I know life gets in the way sometimes but man, 22 years is a looong time. Even 1 year is too long
Thinking of taking a 10 hr drive. Not really a DRIVER and I’ve barely driven long distances. Most I’ve driven is probably 2 1/2 hours. I’m very anxious and I KNEW RU-vid would have some tips.
Ann Arbor, Michigan to Perry Georgia start out with at least 5 hours of sleep, stay hydrated, avoid sugar, stop as often as you need for walk around, jumping jacks or stretches, 20 minute power naps or 90 minute complete sleep cycle. Definitely drive through Atlanta at the wee hours, 2-3 am to avoid punishing grid lock.
My parents from when i was young drove me and my brother 20 hours twice a year to get to our family. It's also very hard to say goodbye and wait until next year..
I took trip from Colorado up to Michigan to the Canadian border then down to Arkansas and then back to Colorado bring a nice big blanket and 2 pillows put 1 one your arm rest then 1 on your left side or where the door is for you Europeans, then put the blanket behind you and around you to cover the pillows and hold them. And then you have a more relaxed comfortable drive and you can lean in different positions and to act as bolsters so cornering does shoot you off to the side.
I’ve drove 5 hours drive Sacramento to Medford Oregon 9 or 10 times already but now I’m driving up to Warrenton OR and that’s about 10 1/2 hours I already know I’ll have to pull over and take a quick hour nap then get back on the road gotta be safe then sorry
Im driving from Dallas to Denver which is about 13 hours. I'm deciding whether I should split the trip and sleep at a truck stop overnight or just do it all in one sitting.
@@BIendtecc ill be honest, it was rough. Rented a nissan rogue and the cruise control alleviated some of struggle. Left at 8am, arrived around 830pm. Perfect timing for Nashville festivities. Felt extremely sleep deprived that night and the next morning but still managed to have a good time.
@@IDABAYAREA650I not that scary as i thought lol. It felt like an adventure into the unknown. Backup food, water, tire, etc. gave me peace of mind as well
@@qaecobitv2295 wow! I totally forgot about this comment. I'm back in Florida now haha! It was a great time driving there and back. We did a total of 5 days of driving averaging about 10 hours a day. We ended up paying about $1100 in hotel fees and $500 for gas. We went all the way up to South Dakota and then went directly west to Seattle. On the way back to Florida we went south to New Mexico and through the southern part of the country. Beautiful drive both ways! The hoover dam and Grand Canyon is a must.
@@qaecobitv2295 as for tips I would say to MAKE SURE you reserve a hotel the day before or it will screw you over lol. We drove around vegas for two hours trying to find a hotel because we didn't reserve one and ended up staying at a super sketchy motel. And make sure your car is ready to go that far.
Gas prices is whats really stopping me from traveling shits expensive, although Its kind of going down my local gas went from $6.45 to $5.19 but still sheesh
