You're surprised the 'older' crowd was so active. You forget, the people who are now considered 'older' (and who seemed to be the majority of people you showed) are GenX. We're not Boombers. We roll different.

I’m 73 years old and have plenty of life left. At 68 I took my oldest grandsons zip lining, 7 lines in all. I did every line with them. I can still dance and have fun. One set of grand kids live 350 miles away, the other set live 400 miles away. I still drive alone 6-8 times a year to visit with the families. I’m just not ready to sit in a rocking chair on the porch and watch life go by.

I'll be turning 50 next week. AARP and older cruises, here I come 😂

I am not impressed that "older" means boring, 9pm bedtime, sitting, lazy, whatever. Totally agree with the Gen X comment here. I mean, I don't get drunk or high or act a fool, but I do stay up late and have a good time dancing. Granted, I don't travel, but that's because of my current home situation. Please, all you "older" people, help change this perspective that we all suck.

Love the line and love the s-class, so easy to get around! I've personally never cared about the age-range of my fellow passengers. I was about 38 on my first cruise, which was an Atlantis party ship, now at 53, I still have my fun. Doesn't matter who the other people are, as long as they are friendly! Thank you for the video.

Fact is the Reflection is only older than the 4 Edge class ships. That makes it currently the 5th newest in the fleet.

I think I would like the Celebrity shorter sailings. I've cruised on the Equinox, which was fine, but I was on a group cruise with friends. A shorter sailing on Celebrity would be a chill vibe, plus sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale is a plus for me. Thanks for the review💜

Just got off the Reflection a couple weeks ago. I think your take on it was very accurate. We had a great time on the ship and would definitely go back on the Reflection. But as mid 50s guy I’ll avoid the shorter trips and the kids.

6:32 would have made the trip worthwhile alone 😉 I sailed the sister ship Equinox in 2013. Ship and vacation was amazing. 14 day European cruise. Had to fly into Barcelona. Somehow we found an AMAZING offer. And I mean AMAZING!!!!

I don’t think a 2012 ship is old. The Solstice class is Celebrity’s second newest class. Cruise companies write their fleet down over 30 years. 12 years isn’t even middle aged.

My wife and I cruised on her sister-ship: Equinox back in 2017 for ten days and loved it! I too was surprised by the older, yet party-hardy crowd, lol.

The Reflection isn't one of Celebrity's oldest ships. It's the newest version of the Solstice class ships. All other Solstice class ships are older than it and the Millennium class significantly older. The ship looks lively. Please give the age thing a rest. Some folks in their 70s and 80s were "wilder" than some of the 20 and 30 somethings now. And if health permitted, they may still be wild. But it's not all about being wild to have a good time. You can indulge in a different way and have tons of fun.

We did transatlantic on the Reflection bringing her from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale. Had a great time, Captain Kirk was very very good along with the cruise director. Have some great videos to share if you’re interested

Celebrity Reflection is a nice ship. Glad that you had fun and can see how people will enjoy the shorter cruises too. Luv Celebrity ships. I just booked my third cruise on Celebrity. Very nice, comfortable, good ports and yes they stay in the port long enough for you to enjoy being there. Food is good and the cabin was great. I will keep cruising Carnival and Royal Carribean HOWEVER I will be on Celebrity as often as possible.

Did a 16 day Transatlantic on the Reflection in 2017. Nice ship but was showing its age then. Celebrity and RCL maintain their older ships very well. One of the reasons the shows on older ships are not as good as shows on newer ones has to do with new technology and modern equipment on the new ships.

Oh yeah, a cruise with a few kids is what I’d like. No kids near the bar or at the nightclub!! Is the Eastern Caribbean really better, more fun, more to see, & to do than the Western Caribbean?

Me and my friend from work are doing a 4 day in June. Super excited. I'm more excited for my solo MSC Seashore in August though.

I came off of a 4 night sailing on the Reflection. It was our first time on Celebrity. We loved it. I am 53, my wife is 50, but we saw a few thirty somethings mixed in. Also, as a smoker, I appreciated that they didn't relegate all smoking areas to some hole under the ship exhaust like Carnival does. They actually had a smoking area directly next to a bar, with tables and chairs so you could relax, have a drink and take a few puffs of your cigar. I also loved that I didn't have to swat away even one photographer on the ship the whole time!

I sailed her for a two week transatlantic October 2023. The staterooms were dated and in need of a refurbishment. I know they refurbished the sister ship Silhouette already. Will sail her November of this year. The best part about Reflection is the staff. They excel at putting on a great guest experience! Aside from the staterooms (frayed pleather couch, Victorian era looking curtains, other aging aspects), I enjoyed the time spent on the ship!

We have taken two older Celebrity cruises and loved them! No children is very desirable!

I like the Southern Caribbean better than either the East or West. If you are on a ship small enough to get into the smaller ports of the Lesser Antilles, those smaller islands are great. But they aren’t big enough to drop six to ten thousand people a day on them. Two thousand is really the limit at best. But I get it. The economies of scale that the mega ships bring to the table plus so much on board that the cruise stops are an actually a side show, not the main event, and a day at their captive island, mean that the larger ships are going to be the only thing that most people can or want to afford. I’m sad that so many of the future cruisers will never know what cruising could really be like.

Haven't sailed Celebrity yet, can't wait.

San Juan (and all of Puerto Rico) has my heart. But I found if you walk a little bit away from the ship you can find much better food than what’s right next to the terminal. There used to be the most amazing little Jamaican cafe but I think she retired to be spend time with her grand children. ❤

Age is relative. We just sailed on Island Princess on a leg of the World Cruise from LA to Sydney and as early 60's passengers we were average to low end age group. Enjoy your cruising that entertains you. Our desires now are to see places we didn't see when we cruised in our 30's, 40's and 50's. Looking forward to a non-cruising deep dive into Alaska by car in summer and then a Princess cruise around Cape Horn, Santiago to Buenos Aires in December. Keep on cruising, bro.

We love Celebrity. If ever we look at “The Suite Life” on Royal Caribbean, we simply book a cabin on Celebrity instead.

I go on Celebrity Reflection April 2025. I normally cruise RCL so I am excited about trying Celebrity.

The age of the decor is ridiculous for the prices charged. No premium land based hotel that costs as much to build and to stay has as old decor. The decore is like a hospital room.

This is far from their oldest ship. It's from 2012. Oldest is from... 1999 or 2000. Celebrity Millennium is their actual oldest.
