Welcome back to another print shop update video. I've been away from RU-vid for a couple months, focusing on growing my 3D print farm. In this video I'm showing you what I've been up to since being away. The video starts out with a 3D printer unboxing, then I show some behind the scenes of moving all 7 printers into a new space, and it finishes with a final look at my new print shop. Chapters at the bottom in case you only want to watch a portion of the video. Hope you guys enjoy :)
Thank you guys so much for watching, we finally made it past 7800 subscribers and we're getting closer and closer to 10,000! It would really mean a lot to me if you subscribed and joined me on my 3d printing journey.

Use a Riser with the pegs to hold the top glass on the P1s, so you can keep the door closed and vent via the top when printing pla, also it stops the tool head ptfe tube from rubbing/wearing on the top glass. I’ve never used glue on the textured or hologram plates , usually jut need to adjust the bed temp. You may want to look in to a Panda touch from big tree to help manage all your printers . Congrats 🎉

Only use glue with PETG on Bambu printers. Especially with the textured plates, it’s not necessary to use anything for PLA, if you’re having adhesion issues try cleaning the plates with hot water and dish soap. If that doesn’t work, it’s either your filament or your printer needs re-calibration.

For PLA or PETG, you don't need to use glue if you use a textured PEI sheet. Those things are AWESOME for adhesion. Wash with dawn soap once a week or as needed, and wipe with isopropyl frequently and you'll have great adhesion

Alcohol doesn't clean it. It disinfects it but just spreads around the oils. Use dish soap which is designed for cutting grease. Dish soap, warn water, clean wasg cloth, thorough rinse, micro fiber cloth to dry. No glue is needed. I wash all of my build plates every Sunday juat to be safe. Never have any adhesion issues.

A new Macy video! I literally check every day even though your normal schedule was about every 2 wks. You can see your excitement in your intro...I say it every time...I'm so jealous of what you've got going! I'm working on it. I've been working on some product designs, I think I've got one that it pretty unique, clever and just might sell. I'm learning CAD, Inkscape, Meshmixer, Blender etc. The mechanical design of my item was pretty easy but I'm struggling a bit w/ the artistic design part. But I'm getting there slowly. As far as your questions....I think you will want a riser for the AMS. When printing w/ PLA I like to open the lid rather than the door. It also helps you see in from the top. The one I made fits the glass perfectly for when you want it closed, but has tabs to hold it up/open. The textured PEI sheet shouldn't need any glue. I can't even get my PLA to come off of it....and I've never even cleaned it!
@Kreaken11

I've never needed to use glue on my P1S. Though I usually manually set the bed to preheat before starting the print to make sure it has a uniform temp, seems to help.

I personally only use glue, only if the thing I am printing is having first layer issues. Once again personal opinion, as friends disagree, I feel that if you wipe down your build plate after each print with so IPA, it will allow stuff to stick better. When I do use glue, I tend to do a full wash down with soap and water to get it back to nothing on it, before printing again. I have found that everyone feels differently, so if glue works for you, then keep using it!

If it works you can keep doing it but technically PEI shouldn’t need any glue or hair spray when clean. I also scrub my new plates with a scotch brite pad then clean it with soap and water. After that I use no glue and it sticks perfect and falls off when cool.

I don’t use glue with PLA and PEI plate. Wash build plates with Dawn.That’s also recommended by Bambu Labs. Adding a riser will help with heat dissipation and keep the door open. When using PLA.

Great to see the expansion! Which plates are you using? If it's textured PEI then for PLA it doesn't need anything applying to it, just an occasional wipe with a dry paper towel. I'm sure you've done it already, but make sure the aux fan is turned off on the P1S when printing PLA as it causes prints to lift on the left hand side due to uneven cooling. You can completely disable it for all PLA profiles in bambu studios filament settings section.

I'm so glad you are back. I think I mentioned this before but I try to show my 10 year old daughter your videos so she sees a woman running and growing a business, not to mention going deep dive on 3D printing and technology in generally. You also have a really great flow to your videos as well. For your filament storage check out this container (I have only found them at Target for some strange reason): Ezy Storage 33.8qt IP67 Waterproof Storage Box (this is my 6th or 7th time trying to post the comment because it seems as if YT doesn't like me including UPC numbers and whatnot). I can easily put 10 rolls in there with 3 bags filled with color changing desiccant, and sometimes depending on the size of the rolls they can go up to 12 rolls. It seems like these containers were designed for 3D rolls as they are just all enough (versus the ones I saw in your video) to store the filaments. I have 13 of them mostly filled (I have a filament problem it seems) and more ready to be filled.

The glue haters are wild. I don't clean my beds except maybe once a month. I'm careful not to touch it with my fingers so no oils get on it. I use bed weld glue, it's a liquid. By far the best on these gold pei sheets and I never had an adhesion failure. Ever. On tiny little pieces i use small brims but we're talking VERY tiny surface areas that need to hold mass above them. Don't listen to glue haters, it's just a redundant thing to argue about, if it works for you, keep at it.

The bambu ones should last MANY prints, especially if you’re moving the prints around on the plate instead of hitting the exact same spots over and over.
