Her ambitious nature and self-assured confidence are truly inspiring. I'm curious about how her children can do considering she comes from a village and pushes herself to the limit. She started by discussing her strength and determination - her resilience. The challenges she faced probably helped her become more adaptable and resilient. A person with strength can overcome disappointments without letting them impede their progress. That's exactly what she did. I find her faith and the amazing transformation it brought about truly inspiring, especially since it astonished her grandmother. The grama thought her faith was way too much. Thank you for sharing.

Your growing up is somehow similar to ours (my brother and I). The difference is that we had a present grandfather, but had suffered stroke years back so he was not working anymore, we used to sit with him in the afternoon around the jiko ya makaa, coz its very cold some times where we grew up, Nunguni-Kilungu. Our grandma was active in some little household work. We always had a househelp as much as i can remember. We used to do housework too, together with our househelp. I'm so happy grandma insisted on us doing chores together with our househelp because thats how i learned alot. That time growing up in the village, my mum was in the city "working". She would visit us maybe once a month for a weekend, but i hardly have any memory with her as a child/teen. .. sometimes I didn't see her for 3 years in a row.. Years later around 1995, mum had got a mzungu, they met in those tourists destinations where she worked. I think in amboseli. Oh by the way, I used to call her by her name too., till today it feels odd for me calling her "mum" , we didnt grow up with her, she missed all our young life, the most important part of life growing up. In 1996 she moved permanently to this mzungus country, to Austria. We still remained in Nunguni and life was fine, we kept schooling. I finished my primary school and joined high school. Year 2000, our mum invited to visit her in Vienna-Austria. She had got my half sister then, so she wanted us to meet them. We came to vienna and thats how we are still here. I was a 16 years old teen, my bro is 3 years younger. We had now came to a new country, everything new. We were happy to atleast be with our mother...(we thought we would live with her) Life started with her, our mom who never lived with us before and didnt know anything about us. In less than a year, things were not well at all.... living with her and her husband plus the new born baby . It was not the life we knew. Remember, we had never lived with her or even this man who is now our step - dad. ... so we moved out about a year later (my bro and I). Long strory... we are in a country where not even a word english is spoken.... Hehehe 24 years later, we all grown up, living life.... we've tried our best. I have a long long story. How i still miss having an active parent in my life growing up. How till today at almost 40 years old i'm searching for my biological dad, how mom behaves "funny" towards me.. (thats how i feel) or let me use the word rejected..... My mission is to tell my whole story out there, to let the world know that not every parent is a parent, how moving with kids to other countries isn't always the best ..... It's life, it's what it is .....

Grew up with lots of traumatic experiences myself. Years ago I wrote it all down in several journals and never shared with anyone. Writing it down and reading it all when done was very therapeutic. Several years later I burned the journals in an outside pit, and as the smoke rose I was able to release and finally forgive. I’m not saying this is the route you should take, but getting it all out did my soul a lot of good and got rid of so much negative energy that is seriously unhealthy mentally & physically. Blessings 🙏🏽
