Nothing more rewarding than rescuing an abandoned, forgotten little soul!!!! These angels are pure love! Thanks to this gal for not sending her foster baby back to a shelter!

Sometimes you just can't send them back. I fostered a 17 year old cat who was shut down when he came to me. When he got better, the shelter kept calling him in for adoption events and he would always get sick. Finally I had to call it. He's 20 now and very spry.

I can’t imagine how hard it must be for a dog that was scared of everything in the world including her own shadow. Breeders who breed family members should be found and fined so heavily they can’t afford to start up again!

It’s very common with backyard breeders, that’s why you should always adopt, if people want a designer dog or puppy there are also plenty of them in shelters.

I understand that fosters need to let the dogs go to permanent homes but in this case I'm so happy that Sandy was adopted by her foster mom. Sandy deserves to stay in the home where she found love and how to be a dog. This is such a happy ending. ❤❤❤

@@rosemarygraham2815 I fostered twice and failed both times. Both were tiny toy breeds and just as shut down and scared as this dog. Most experienced fosters understand that every dog they keep is one less spot for another dog in need. I have so much respect for the people who give a safe harbour to these animals and then let them go so they can help the next dog. I wasn't able to be that strong. ♥

God doesn't have anything to do with dogs being adopted or dogs in the first place. Any animal isn't a pet that can live in the house with people to God. Animals are not sacred.

@@lisadc4681God created every animal but He didn't put anything sacred to them. If animals were sacred, we couldn't eat them or kill rats and other pests or dangerous animals. Dogs are not exception to God. Bible never mentions the word pet.

I’m in Australia and volunteered with an animal rescue here. I was a permanent foster mum to a beautiful old Foxy named Rocky from the age of 15. That darling had been chucked out after getting some dementia. He was the most loving, sweet little old soul and we all adored him, our other pets included. Three years of love, with him getting stuck in weird places, including the drainage hole in the yard. Broke my heart when he died, and I still have pics of him beside my bed and I cry, cry for all of my darling who have gone and left massive holes in my heart. I miss them all so much. ♥️ Fostering him was the most rewarding thing and I encourage anyone to please do it if they can. He had an impact on so many lives after we got him, friends and extended family, and could not have been more loved for his final years.

I got a similar pitbull free off craigslist. Her picture said, you can have her if you want her. I picked her up the next morning ! She now lets me hug her after a year ! Thank you for rescuing this dog who now knows the world is NOT such a scary place !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Rescued an abandoned dog from the desert. She, too, was so afraid of everything....mostly kids, but any noise scared her. Taking her to the park with other dogs helped. She loved her peeps and imitated a lot of things they did. She was my soul dog and I had her for 12 years. I loved her with all my heart and I'll mover forget her....ever. ❤
