It's a pain to take off the handle. Do a quick Google search there's plenty of info

It evens out the boost pressure throughout the rpm and well as controlling the overall boost. The sound it just a byproduct of that.

jsmk7 agreed. I had HKS SSQ BOV on my mk4 a while back and it got old after a few weeks. Right now I have GFB DV+ which is prefect.

i have a go fast bits BOV on my MK7. i love it bc it only has a loud sound when youre really on the gas so normal driving you don't even hear it. still love hearing it after 4 months
