I took my husband on a date to the WORLD'S BEST AIRPORT! || Singapore’s Changi Airport ✈️ 

As a Singaporean, hanging out at the airport eventhough we ain't flying is a national sport. Have a meal, go window shopping at Jewel, laze around the rain vortex with snacks or ice cream, go to the viewing mall to watch planes and just walking aimlessly around the 4 terminals.

As a Singaporean, i do encourage foreign friends to go to Changi Airport early to check it out and have fun!

I’m a Singaporean and decades before Jewel was built, Changi Airport has always been a place for locals to hangout.

Oh, my gosh, I went to Singapore a few months ago, Changi Airport is the MOST BEAUTIFUL AIRPORT I've ever seen!!!

Very proud Singaporean here. The engineering behind all this is even more amazing. (I mean, where does all that water go...?) And they had to make sure the Jewel wasn't so super-shiny from the sky that it affected the pilots' abilities to land their planes -- safety first! 💪🏼 (They did not showcase this when they filmed Crazy Rich Asians, which I always felt was a huge wasted opportunity. 😑)

As a local, i can spend hoursssssssss at the Changi airport. I must admit i got a rude shock when I alighted from my first flight at a foreign country, never knew the airport can be so rundown 😅 okay. So sorry, the bar for Changi is way too high.

There are two preschools in the airport mainly for staff. Our preschool is actually hidden the corner beside Paradise Dynasty, which was in the background in the final scenes. Our airport is so nice that we had classmates whose parents didn’t work in the airport but placed their kids there anyway. Whenever the airport runs any exhibits at Terminal 3, like this candy area, our kids will get a free pass during off peak hours to the play area. So it’s like our kids have extra people coming up with fun stuff for them on a regular basis 🎉 My kids have graduated from preschool two years ago but yes, those were fun times. I just want to caveat to visitors that the skynet, maze, etc at Jewel are ticketed areas. The light show at the Jewel waterfall will be free. The nice exhibits at Terminal 3 would be free for photo taking but any play area will require a minimum spend in the airport to qualify for entry to the play area. So it’s not all free.

There’s also a swimming pool and butterfly garden in transit area, the inside is also as good.

My mum is Chinese/ Singaporean and we sometimes go to changi airport the indoor playground , the indoor waterfall and the shops and the food is great and in the indoor playground we went in the maze , the mirror maze , the slide , the foggy hills , AND the sky net it was fantastic and Singapore air lines is high quality no lie I really recommend going to Singapore and exploring the wonderful sights there and enjoying the airport

Yay! Glad you guys had fun in Singapore. In the departure hall there’s a bunch of things to do as well! If you guys have time or a layover you can check out the things in the airport. There’s a butterfly garden, sunflower garden, orchid garden, movie theatre, entertainment corner, swimming pool and a bunch of other things to do.

I was born in Singapore but my family moved back to the U.S when I was only 3 months old. I haven’t had to opportunity to go see my homeland since and I am not going to reveal my age, but it has been too long and I want to visit sometime! ❤

Went to Singapore a few months ago and yes, the airport is awesome! I saw everything you showed! As a Hawaii resident, I am ashamed of our run down airport. It should be one of the best considering how popular Hawaii is a a tourist destination!

This airport is at the top of my international travel dreams. When I can travel again I’m definitely planning a trip that takes me through that airport, even if it’s adding extra stops!

Can't agree more. There are a couple of exemplary airports in the world, and Singapore's Changi is in the very top tier of that group. Huge, but lots to see and do aside from the typical shops you see in all International airports. And if you're fortunate enough to have a business class ticket or lounge access, those too are a cut above. If you've ever been in a US business class lounge, you know what I'm talking about. The American version is like comparing a McD's to the five star Michelin rated experience you'll find at Changi. Literally night and day difference in atmosphere and amenities.

There's a free Sky train between terminal 2 and 3 that passes right next to the Jewel Rain Vortex (not in restricted area).. I made a time-lapse vid on the ride😂...it's pretty cool 😎

Ummm but did you miss the airport's Terminal 2? It was totally refurbished during COVID and is now better than Jewel. The fountain is prettier at night. There's light and music shows.

I always connect with Singapore airlines(occasionally emirates) and the jewel brings me peace on overnight layovers

I must admit Changi is amazing. It is the only airport in the world where I am happy to have a long layover between flights, and I am comparing it against other highly rated airports like Doha and Dubai.

I traveled through Changi en route to Bali in fall 2022. Wowza, is that a beautiful airport!!

Its a lot of fun going to Sydney Airport spending a few hour there looking around having something to eat and watching excited and happy people leaving for there holidays so i can only imagine how mind blowing it would be to visit one of the best Airports in the world like Changi Airport .I have heard a lot about it how beautiful it is and I hope one day i also can experience the frill of it all

There is a mall in between the airport different terminals called jewel. This waterfall & trees are inside jewel.. if you want to use any sports or games or anything, inside jewel then you have to buy tickets for every single game. All these tickets are very costly..

I went there it’s beautiful and it’s like the photo and the universal aquarium is gorgeous I love it and by the way right by it by the airport it’s awesome it’s looks like a glove but it’s giant you should go there

As for the airport, I don't care how big a waterfall or hedge maze they put in it, I ain't going until Singapore has less draconian laws. You don't get to deprive me of perfectly safe medication to manage a brain dysfunction just because your country is on a power kick.

like every sgean I'm ruined by Changi. Every time im overseas I don't know what to do with myself. Esp if you count traffic to the airport, that's 5hours total like what do i do for 2-3 hours after checking in? plus side, i now have books from every trip I've been on. 😊 just buy one for the wait and it makes a cool souvenir if it's one that's published in that country!

I've never been to Singapore but I have been to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It is our families favourite airport to have a 12 hour layover at.
