I Took My Sister Tree Hammocking!

I finally got to take my lovely sister tree-hammocking with me! We both had a great time, and will hopefully be doing an overnight trip before too much longer.
I recently started working full time as a locksmith, and my video editing software suddenly decided to stop working on me (why this video isn't full quality), so it's been a big, time-consuming, and expensive battle to get to making videos again. I will hopefully have more coming soon, but between traveling for work and trying to find a good software, it may take a while. Stay tuned!

We all grew up free-climbing anything and everything we could, including many trees (some that were over 75' tall). First time for her with ropes, and yes she did do awesomely.

@@TheTreeCamper I hang glide, but i do not know how to climb a tree. I have enrolled in a class for the next June after seeing some tree camping videos. Any advise?

This is awesome mate! I’ve seen a few of your videos, and it’s great to see how you do things. I’ve always had a fear of heights and starting climbing helped to handle that fear quite a lot. So I’m looking forward to doing this properly.

what kind of rope are u useing and what size? have u use 11mm rope? how well does it work with the gri?

I don't know what kind, but the green one is 9mm and the other is 11mm. He talks about it during the video.

How many feet of rope do you use ? I’m thinking about doing this ,I have some stuff already ,just need know how long of rope to buy .one more thing What is the thickness of your rope ?

Anything from 30 feet to 200. It all depends on how high you want to go and how easily retrievable vs. heavy you want your setup to be. I'm happy with 90' for lighter trips and 150 for high trips, or easily retrievable medium-height trips.

150 feet of Sterling HTP 9mm static line. I got it from R&W rope. I'm not sponsored or anything by them, but I love that rope so much that it's pretty much the only one I recommend to people.

some young person just learned a new thing and decided to make a you tube video about it. not content with putting himself at risk of death if he made a mistake he decides to take his sister with him who has absolutely no idea of what she is doing. she is dead if she pulls on the wrong thing. dead before you hear her scream. you put the life of your sister before making a video. shame on you.

Wow, with an attitude like that I guess you don't even leave mommy's basement. If you took the time to actually read the comments, you would see him and his sister have been climbing for a long time. Remember one thing buddy, everything in life takes a risk. He's just having fun. Maybe watch some more of his videos before you pass your armchair two cents advice.
