It's the long awaited conclusion to the adventure around Aarhus. GeoGuessr provides me with random locations that I must then locate on bike, using any method available... Except for maps and the internet.

Dude, what a challenge, and what an ending! Let me preface this by saying I only discovered your channel today and watched maybe 4-5 videos now... but you asked specifically to write a comment on this one, so here we go, my first comment on your channel: I think similar challenges have been done in the past by other creators, but I haven't seen it done without moving in GG, AND without looking at the map (ingame or otherwise). The amount of dedication showcased in these two videos, along with the general amount of production value in all your videos I have watched, makes me wanna grab a cup of coffee, sit back and watch those subscription numbers grow. Would have loved to see a tally of the total time (minus breaks) and the total distance travelled at the end, But in all honesty, it doesn't matter whether it was 60, 80 or 100km, my only response to learning these numbers would be to admit that it would take me 2 or maybe even 3 days to travel this distance by bike lol. edit: I decided I should "repay" at least a tiny fraction of the dedication you showed, so I went back and did the math: a whooping total of 75,4 km travelled within 6 hours and 02 minutes. My conclusion still stands. On another note, your city (or country?) has an amazing infrastructure for cycling!

Thanks a lot for watching and for your comment! Yes, similar challenges have been done by Geography Challenges, GeoPeter and Cookie, and probably more that I don't know of. I wouldn't say that Aarhus is too much different from other Danish cities in terms of cycling infrastructure, but it's quite a bit smaller than Copenhagen, which made it a good fit for this challenge. Since this video, I've been trying to come up with other games or challenges like this that can be played in a single city, and bikes work really well for that. Maybe I'll find a way to use the Copenhagen Metro once.

Thanks, I hope to make something of that potential some day. Yeah, with only one person, I sometimes wished I was able to cut to a different perspective in stead of doing all these cuts to B-roll. :P Since my editing here is very inspired by that of Jet Lag: The Game.

Good Video! I really like the concept of playing Geoguessr like that, and it even got me thinking, if I could do it in a city nearby, because my town is quite small, but they are either relatively small or very large (Hamburg). But either way it was a very entertaining and fun to watch. I have already watched the one in Stockholm, but I actually find this one more interesting, as it seems more doable (with your knowledge of the city and the size). I hope you make a sequel somewhere sometime. So here's a rare occurrence of a comment from me.

Quick tip for next time you do this in Aarhus: The busses with yellow signs are local to Aarhus (and travel somewhat rarely) The busses with red signs are also local to Aarhus (but travel much more regularly) The busses with black signs are night-busses The busses with blue signs are regional busses and travel outside of Aarhus Almost all of the yellow and red bus-signs go from Park Allé instead of Rutebilstationen, so that is why you didn't find them there Anyway, good job!

Incredible stuff! I loved the strategies of following the buses as they passed and asking the locals which way those towns were--things you can't normally do in GeoGuessr. 💙🐦

Yes!! Glad I got to do all that on round 3 as the other ones were more standard geodetective stuff. Round 1 was cool, though, using a chimney in the distance to navigate.

This was amazing! I'd love to do this in my own city, but the area I'd need to cover would be too massive and I'm not sure biking that much is a feat I can accomplish... but perhaps I'll just take a weekend for it instead :)

Thank you! There's always the possibility of playing the game over a smaller area, like doing it on foot and restricting it to a city center. That would avoid impossible suburban locations like my number 4 here.

Yeah, I had a real hard time estimating how many minutes of video it would make for. I spent more hours on it than the others, but I had a lot fewer video clips to show for it.

This was again fun to watch. As I said earlier, I wouldn't dare to try that in my home city. The risk that all rounds would be like your round 4 is too high :D

If you want to try, maybe get someone to pick the locations for you. If I were to build on the concept and maybe do a different city, that's how I've been thinking of doing it. The same concept definitely doesn't work as well everywhere.

@@Hamfrags I tested how it would have gone. I checked the route from home to the locations and finally back home. That would have been a 91.3 km trip and estimated riding time 5 hours and 20 minutes :D One round was on a ramp of a highway where cycling isn't allowed.

Yeah, I deliberately cut the highway, as well as some of what is considered distant suburbs of Aarhus. The three times I tested it, I got multiple famous landmark and city center locations, so I was kind of expecting a little more of that on the day of shooting. What you saw was the first seed of the day, though.
