While we’ve had nice lawns in the past at previous properties, to get to that point we’ve always started from scratch. Most times starting with “fresh” rollout lawn which with a little TLC, is relatively easy to manage with frequent fertilising and herbicide/insecticide treatments as required.
We thought we’d take a different approach with Glenn’s lawn this time, which was made up of kikuyu, fine fescue, and a whole range of weeds.
In this final episode episode, we take you on a "tour" of the lawn 12-months after the renovation, showing the progress made to date and covering off the current maintenance program Glenn's been following since over-seeding.

Yep.....the 'cobwebs" are the Kik seeding.. If you do the same process you did last time, scalp (dont be scared to go low), dethatch, aerate, topdress with sand rather than soil (80/20 maybe) level and give it a high Nitrogen fert...the lawn will come back sweet. The scalp will also help get rid of some of your foreign grasses and weeds as they'll be stressed to death, where the kik can cope with it. Water daily, maybe 20 mins (F the water restrictions 😁) I reckon after about 2 weeks you may be able to give it a trim and after a month start to keep it at around 15-20mm. Lawns always look better the following year after becoming established...

That is definitely kik seed (bag it up as it is granular gold!). For the couch, if you switch out the seeded to a hybrid (only comes in turf) then you should avoid the seeding issue. I think that's one of the reasons why Ben from Lawntips pushes people so hard towards the hybrid warm grass varieties over seeded. It also looks like you have some paspalum coming through near the fence so suggest digging that out by hand as there's not really a good herbicide for it so it becomes a nightmare to deal with if it takes over
