I flew to Bucharest from Greece to meet up with two good friends of mine, including a Bald guy who was having his birthday. Was the trip from Greece to Romania worth the journey? Let's take a look at my travel from Athens to Bucharest, and celebrating Bald and Bankrupt's Birthday!

Bucharest is in top 100 safest cities on earth, calling Bucharest unsafe is outrageous. I am tired of these stereotypes about Romania.

@@cosmindvd Getting pickpocketed on public transport or getting involved in a car crash if you're driving are probably the worst things that can happen to you in Bucharest or any other city in Romania, and even pickpocketing is not as much of a problem as in some other European cities (Barcelona).

People like to watch travel videos because not all of us have the privilege to go to all these places. We kind of live vicariously through these videos, and we can also learn a lot about what flights to take, what not to take, what certain airlines are like, trains, buses etc etc. What the food and what the people are like. And maybe if someday we do get a chance to go, we have a better idea of how and where to go. I also watch because I find them interesting, not because I see the person travelling suffer. I think out of all the travel vlogs I watch, you're the only one whose said that lol.

Airport viewing: I like the idea of transition points in a story arc. That's part of it for me. And the "suffering" is familiar and makes it seem real. But also, I want to see how it's done because I plan to go through it again. I learn something from the videos. It's a kind of practice for when I do it for real. Cheers!

Just a small mention: the water bottle in the hotel was 22 RON, not US dollars so that's about 5 USD. Still, expensive, but not as much as you've said :) Great video btw, wishing you all the best.

I don’t think people like to see you suffer while traveling. For me it’s a learning experience. I haven’t travelled in decades. But now that I can, I want to see what procedures are in place so that I will know what to do when I am able to travel again. I know things have changed so much since the ‘80’s. So thank you for including this in your videos.

Thanks for all you are doing to help the animals in Ukraine Johnny. I think the attraction of seeing you journey through the airport is also that we can all identify with that experience even if we haven't been to that particular airport. But for me I really enjoy seeing you arrive at the accommodation where you are staying - there are so many different options and you have found some amazing places!

still some things to see from "soviet era" of Romania (1945-1989) but the country changed a lot since entering European Union in 2007. Romania is in "westernisation" mode now , adio "soviet" style... capitalism mode loaded 70%... still 30% soviet style...remained

I love airport shots. It makes the video more like a genuine experience and builds the excitement of the arrival to the destination. It's not instant footage of the destination but footage of the journey as well. My personal preference lol

I have a Great Grandmother who came from Romania and my Great Grandfather came from Bessarabia (Could either be Moldavia or Ukraine / Transnistria) They were Jewish, and they lived across the Russian Border in the 1890's from each other. So Max Banks married Lena Cohen and they Moved to my hometown, Simsbury, CT.... in the late 1890's. Max came first then Lena came in around 1902...

I went to Maramures, Romania twenty years ago and had a blast. For some reason could imagine you and Bald tearing it up through the countryside on a horse and cart!
