as Romanians, we don't usually care about skin color or nationality. Our first impression and attitude is generally based on how the other person behaves and talks. Sri Lanka people tend to be very reclusive, modest and keep mostly to themselves, they are quiet and hard working. They also learn the local language quite fast. All of these are considered qualities around here, so there's no surprise they fit right in.

I respect you very a lot for your gestures in all countries. And because you also traveled through my country, Romania, I want you to know what the lady who sold milk to whom you gave flowers was talking. He explained the price for milk and for the bottle separately, then when you talked to her, she told you that she was sorry that she didn't know english to communicate more and that she is not used to being given extra money. He was telling you that his face was red with emotion. Then when you came back with flowers it was there again emotional and told you that it is all red (face). He said that you do not have the physiognomy of the people in your country and that you have blue eyes, you are different in the beautiful sense. You understood the thanks. She was definitely very happy from your gestures and i thank you too for doing this. The old people in our country are forgotten by others and by the government, they will enjoy every nice gesture. I like the people from Sri Lanka, respectfully and hard working people. Im glad that the migrants who chose Romania are from countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal or Vietnam. They are very welcome here we need smart and hard working people to grow together this country and become a European power

Also she regrets not speaking english since in her youth they would teach them russian instead of english and Nicoleta was trying to tell you that she likes your culture, that’s what she tried to tell you withe “dansul” (dance). Also your interraction with the Sri Lankans was so wholesome ❤

My friend from Romania live here in L.A. He has helped me plan my Silk Route trip from Prague to Baku to China....so far I just need the money and its a dream trip but as the one Romanian Ive ever met he is pretty cool and has some stories from Eastern Europe for sure. As a kid you think Romania is fake because its where Vampires are from and you know they are fake. Then you find out Romania is real and Vlad the Impaler is real too.
I am very happy the way how Sri Lankans in Rumania treated Davud and they look a happy bunch in Rumania. Well done. Rumania is a nice country and Rumanians are very nice people.

the garlic man was saying 5 lei for 1 bunch of garlic, so 10 for 2, it was ok. The milk lady was saying she's sorry she doesn't speak English, she's saying in her time they were taught Russian as a 2nd language. Other than that, I didn't know about the Sri Lankan restaurant, maybe I'll try it tomorrow.
