Cool video. I like your vlog style videos, including all those little incidents where things don’t work flawlessly, that other reviewers leave out. It gives a much more accurate picture of how it’s like to use it in real life.
This is my daily dose of convincing myself I need to get the Apple Watch Ultra. Battery anxiety is definitely a thing for me. I love your content, man.
Enjoyed traveling along with you. Good to know my Apple Watch can do so much in the UK. Years ago, I traveled to Scotland with the original Apple watch right after it was introduced and it excited comments since most people had never seen one. Great video, thanks.
the london underground directions can vary greatly if you check to the minute. 5 mins later the route could be completely different. especially if youre in an area where lots of tube and bus lines cross. it might not be the best route. also the underground is old so often whole lines closed which some apps dont handle very well. safer to know your nearest tube station then route to that.
Absolutely love London and the ultra watch is awesome, mostly use it for lap swim and sleep tracking. Great video, many thanks for sharing and God bless!
Absolutely loved the video & both of your channels so it was nice to see Safwaan show up. Also Shervin, finding your channel was a gem, I love Day In The Life videos and your frequent vlogs give those vibes a bit. Hopefully you keep these up for a while…even if you’re just roaming NY.
I use Apple pay 99% now and the most frustrating thing in US are the terminals and lack of training. If they do know they take it they pull out this huge tethered terminal that is not clearly marked where you are supposed to tap it.
Great video as always, love the ‘day in the use of’. London is my hometown, travelling to NYC week before Christmas so looking forward to Apple Pay there, (or not as the case may be)
It seems the watch was designed to wear on the left wrist as it looks strange being worn on the right wrist. Must have to do with the heart being on the left for better accuracy 🫤
if I barely leave the house using my ultra with AOD I’ll use 20% in 16-18 hrs. looking forward to see how it does with maps on a long road trip with lte only. With only messages and phone call notifications on. and most apps with background refresh. Granted I may only get 10 messages max a day. Surprised at how fast using voice to text is.
Shervin - great video amigo! By the way.............we love Americans and yes its the fees which is why it is so difficult to use AMEX over here in the UK. Keep up the great content my man - best wishes from Liverpool England
Hello! How were you able to use navigation on the Apple Watch while abroad? Did you have an international phone plan, or change the SIM in your iPhone? Moving to Europe for one year and will be traveling tons, so helpful to know whether an Apple Watch would only work abroad if I were connected to wifi or on an international plan :) thank you!
Great video! Interestingly, while the US is the home country of bc Apple Pay, on my recent visit to New York there were still a number of restaurant places where you are required to bring your physical credit card, and put a signature on the receipt. They did not accept contactless/Apple Pay. My Ultra was not accepted :( And yes, Amex is often not accepted in Europe due to high fees so rather bring a Visa or MC as a backup when visiting.
@@ShervinShares Hmm, I have no idea atm haha, but I was wondering if you’ve ever tried WorkOutDoors? Started using it on my watch recently, gives so much more info and customisation than the default fitness app, maybe you’d be interested if you haven’t tried it yet
Ive gone nearly 2 years without carrying a wallet with me cause i use my watch. Sorta shocks me how behind it is in the US. I moved to London 8 years ago. I use Contactless payments ALL the time. Going back to the US (Connecticut in particular) always frustrates me. Especially at places like Home Depot.😠
@shervin haha! I saw you at Bank/Monument station but I didn’t think anything of it as your A New Yorker!- why would you be in London! I’m annoyed I didn’t say hi now as it WAS you. 😒😒😒🙄🙄🙄🙄.
I've had the issue where the pointer in Apple Maps is off by several degrees and shows the wrong direction since I upgraded to iOS 16 and watchOS 9 respectively (at least on my Apple Watch, haven't checked on my iPhone since I use Google Maps there)
Apple pay with Amex is the issue, if you have Apple pay with apple money or visa is fine. aboveground/underground all work with apple watch even the public toilet
If you're already a Garmin user then stick with it for a bit longer until you're sure about switching. If not then I'd suggest the AWU. I'm loving it though I haven't tried any of the specialised sports features yet outside of regular workouts.
@@incogyt I haven’t been a Garmin user for long. Actually in my 30 day period. Garmin’s platform just seems so much more fluid. The challenges etc. But the hardware on the AWU is 🤌
All homies vlogs are now "I traveled to x country with the Apple Watch Ultra". The other Apple Watches have worked in these countries for years, how is the Ultra going to be any different?
