I love the title of the video... LOCAL PRICE, NOT SCAM! Yes i have never encountered any scam in India.. it is an overhyped problem.. if you are slightly careful (like how you normally should be).. there is no problem
Max 2 Maximum....You gave 500/- to Rickshawwala....Really Great...But bargained with 100/-. We Indians should respect Foreingners...Never expect more money from them...Salute Max...
Oh God Max, that drumstick vendor asked you if you knew Tamil, in his broken Hindi😅 malum tum🤣🤣🤣🤣..highly appreciate your effort and interest in learning the language..kudos bro..great job in bargaining..lesson learnt👍 heart of gold..stay blessed brother
I love the way you behave with people in India, such a kind and generous soul. I wish I were in India rn, would have joined you and explored parts of Northeast India ❤❤
Dear Max, Hope you have a good time in Chennai. You had been to Mint Street, Zam Bazaar. You also had Sambar in Rathna Cafe. Nice to see you getting down to the root of the Chennai culture. Some tips for you The Sarong in local language is called LUNGI. In Tamil ANNA is Elder Brother. THAMBI is younger Brother. Get in touch with me if you need any assistance in Chennai. Cheers, BASHA

same with the textile guy who refused to keep INR 20 even though max asked him to keep it. Some people know free money won't last for long and they can't sleep at night with the guilt.
You are so genuine, humble and empathetic. I don't usually comment on RU-vid videos but I loved your personality. Keep doing what you are doing. Your a nice and sweet human being 👍
Knowingly or unknowingly, Max, you went to one of the most iconic restaurents in Chennai, ”RATNA CAFE", I'm so glad you visited the place. Ratna Cafe is one of the longest running restaurants in Chennai (since1948), popular for its sambar-idly.
I just randomly landed on hyderabadi biryani video and ending up watching the whole India playlist, Max you are such a gem of a person. Love watching your videos 💖💖💖 hope to meet you someday. 🙏🏻
I think you're right about having sambar when you have a sore throat or down with a cold. When I was living there during COVID period, I can remember my landlord offering me sambar saying it'll help if I ever get infected. It's just a healthy super-food I presume. Also, the sarong is called "Veshti". My Tamil friends in the comments can correct me if I'm wrong. 😅
Just to rectify 9:44 the shopkeeper asked 'do u know Tamil ' by using a hindi word 'malum tum' which means do you know Delicious in Tamil is சுவையான (suvaiyaana)
Charity has to be done with a heart filled with Gratitude and not with a Thought that, "I can afford it, so I do!" You are the real example here. Such a nice man you are! Lots to learn through your channel. Much love bro ❤️
Compared to other places in India, I would say Chennai is one of the lesser covered major cities. And this man does justice to this place! Incredible stuff!
MAX WELCOME TO THE INCREDIBLE 🇮🇳 INDIA, DEFERENT CITY'S DEFERENT CULTURE, DEFERENT FOOD, DEFERENT LENGUAGES, THIS IS INCREDIBLE 🇮🇳 FOR YOU BUDDY ♥️♥️♥️
Chennai is not actually for Lassi. Chennai is for buttermilk, Infact most part of south india is. Lassi if you want to enjoy go to haridwar. It's heaven.
I mean we are told that auto drivers in Chennai and Bangalore are crooks and then you come across drivers whose auto is broken down but still they are honest and won't take your money. India is such a weird but wholesome place, love it. Love and kindness comes from the most unexpected places.
I really like the way you choose the auto driver to the jam bazaar...he really talks and says in a polite way and he explains why because he needs to return empty..mostly the auto drivers have some routine route where you just need to pay 10 or 20 rupees but you are asking for a exclusive route so they just asked high amount
Max, if you are still in chennai, I recommend you to go to EA mall and sathyam theatre. You will love those places. It's actually nearby, If you are in Auto, ask them "Express avenue Thousand Lights"
Man I was just waiting for ur next vlog and here it is. U just raise the bar every time u are out there exploring new stuff. Enjoy your time to the fullest mate. Cheers ✌️
Man you cleaned up the idli sambar too good, might have to visit the place next time I visit Chennai, binge watching your vlogs interesting and genuine reactions 👍👏
16:35 The way the auto rickshaw man refused Max's help is the genuine identity of Chennai. And Max's kindness is pure. Man you've explored Chennai which many foreign RU-vidrs have missed. Thanks 🫶
Max is an epitome of gentleness and he aptly fits the definition of a Gentleman. I have been watching his videos lately and I am trying to behave like him since i have always been rebuked for my misbehavior.
You will get millions of subscriber soon because your content is very much good and you are so kind as well my bro catch me if you need any help when you will be here in North East Arunachal Pradesh India...
Loved this episode, grew up in Chennai and moved out to usa 23 years ago and this video brought me my childhood memories, the bargaining with auto, lassi shops, ever awesome Triplicane Ratna café. This restaurant is my father's favorite breakfast place when he was a collage student 60 years ago but I have been there only once. Will definitely visit there when we visit Chennai again. I am glad to see the honesty of those auto drivers, very impressive, after ola and uber's domination I thought these guys went out of favor but I am glad to see them having their integrity.
You're awesome bro ! Usually i dont subscribe any channel with first glance , i watch them for months than I subscribe but you're in another level , your laugh , the way you connect universe , way you feel things are so genuine ! God save souls like you ! God Bless my brother !
Hy Budd You are the first vlogger i have subscribed and your eating style with your hand is so Indian . Which I have never seen any foreigner doing its just so perfect
8:51 Moringa Drumsticks........................Life saving nutritious minerals in it. Also the cooked leaves of Moringa are great source and its also tasty with soft JackFruit seeds in it.
I like your vlogs 😍 you learn so fast in context with greetings, getting accustomed to the taste, what's famous etc. and you acknowledge the good things and details on your way is lovely to see. You have got awesome communication skills. If you're still in India, then do visit Gujarat, especially in January there will be kite festival and festival in "white desert of Kutch", Gujarati food is awesome and you gonna love it since you are foody. You can visit Kutch, Surat, Ahmedabad, statue of unity, Gir forest Junagadh, my city Rajkot these places you'll get famous Gujarati dishes 😋😋😋
Actually that guy doesn't know proper hindi ig, so he asked whether you know hindi(Malum tumko) and you thought its a word for delicious 😅 'Romba nallirka' Very Nice
Haha, the sarong is called lungi ( which is more of a casual wear, comes in different colours and patterns ), it has a counterpart called veshti ( usually white/ offwhite with gold borders) which is worn during formal occasions. Also nowadays you get veshti with velcro bands which makes them easier to wear.
Im a chennai girl I eat idly dosa regularly or even daily When i see u eating and describing the taste , im literally watering my mouth 🤤 and im hungry now 😭
Brother here in India U can use local cabs like Uber & ola Without asking of auto . By byk also u can share It's Rapido ! Ur helping too Auto people with out taking change kinded heart ❤️
