It technically isn’t really medium format but it is larger than full frame, it sits between full frame and 6x4.5 (645 to most) so it’s not a true medium format but marketing wise it is. Still a fantastic camera and insane quality, I’d take it over full frame all day

Nope. In the digital photography any sensor larger than FF is agreeably considered as a medium format. Moreover, a (film) medium format is not just 645 as you wrongly attribute. There are more sizes of films in the MF category.
I have the 50 S2 GFX camera and I absolutely love it. I also have a crop sensor camera and I have a full frame camera. In fact I have a micro camera as well. You wouldn't believe it. Yep I have a camera in every size and all of them are tools for different jobs.. I shoot landscapes professionally and I love my GFX camera. I did not need 100 megapixels so I went for the 50 and I absolutely love it and it is amazing image quality, but it is a challenging camera to use and it is a very methodical camera that you have to take your time with it is not a run and gun style camera, but that's what I like about it. It actually gets me to slow down. It's not about rushing to get the shot. It's a slow methodical process getting the right focus point and making sure that the depth of field is correct as well as there are challenges with this, but the image quality is just something to be behold, and unless you've used a medium format camera you won't understand.
Depends on your budget, there are a lot of very good cameras in a lot of price ranges, another thing to look at when deciding your price range, make sure to account for the billions of accessories you’d want
I’ve been wanting to try one because what I really want is 100 or so megapixel because I shoot landscape and want to print it big to sell my photos. And that seems to be medium format.
Can someone explain me why Fujifilm system is considered as a worst for video among most RU-vidrs? Is it only because of sensor size (I mean x line not gfx) or other features just can’t compete with rivals?
I guess it's because of fuji's autofocus is still below the like of sony or canon; although, It's not that bad anymore since xh2s xh2 and xt5. If you do manual focus, then it's pretty much the same.
Be aware of who you listen to. A lot of RU-vidrs are sponsored by camera brands like canon, Sony, and Nikon. They will talk amazing things about their sponsored brands where as fuji doesn’t sponsor anybody as far as I’m aware of. As far as video the xh2s has some of the best dynamic range and overall image quality I have ever seen. I have shot medium format, full frame, m4/3. I’m not sponsored by anyone but I tell you I just not too long ago sold my Sony a7iv and kept my xh2s.
@@thaivunguyen8728people are overblowing the af thing. I shot lowlight concert photography with fast moving band members and the af was perfectly fine
