I use this literally every week...it takes maybe an hour to apply all over my head and the style lasts all week...literally an entire week and I have almost waist length hair...tips do this on soaking wet clean hair with no other product. Use a liberal amount like 5 pumps per section. I do mine in 8-10 sections for my entire head....apply at the roots and work your way down. Add more to the ends if necessary. I typically do a bit of shingling when needed so there aren't any huge clumps when I am done...there is literally no need to separate once dry and the volume is amazing. I have turned all my friends on this and we all have different hair textures...it will work for you as a wash and go...and my hair stays moisturized for at least 5 days. Just sleep in a bonnet and apply a bit of water to get the shape back the next day. I think you should give it another try. Hope this helps

Add a leave in and gel then the mousse big difference . I didn’t think think mousse work search combinations. Now it works amazing

You have BEAUTIFUL hair! I got the same results, but I think it's because I didn't use a diffuser, and my curl pattern is extremely tight, so I need to manipulate my hair more to smooth out my curl pattern. I've noticed that those tutorials that used the same product, styling techniques combined with a diffuser, had different finishes... more defined and voluminous curls. I had to go back and add more products to get the look and feel that I like.

I gave the doux a try for the third time and liked it! I did a wash and go too and put it up n a high bun. I liked the hold and my hair isn’t dry. I think I’ll keep it. But it’s important to use it like we did..on clean hair with no product. I think it works best that way

I am so glad u tried this cuz u just show how this product would not hold me at all. Just like that extreme gel smh no good for my hair either. U just saved my pockets cuz I have been thinking to try this product w the Big Poppa gel. So yep not happening. Ur hair is still so beautiful though.👑🤗❤️

I also tried this cause of all the hype. For my hair texture I was able to get 3 days out of my wash and go. It's definitely for people who have looser textures and if you like volume from the first day. I used it on a mini twist set and it worked great at controlling the frizz, this is my second week wearing them, usually I can only wear them for one week.

I'm so happy that you tried this product and gave an honest review. I was going to purchase this product but I know my type 4 curls won't last. Not even gonna play myself and stick with my wetline bae🙂

Unfortunately, you did not us it correctly or properly prepare you hair before sleeping. I have dense, long type 4 hair and it worked for me even on a section of my hair that no product or gel could define. I am very critical of products so I was shocked that this worked so well. You have to make sure you dont put any other product on your hair, use a lot of mousse in sections root to tip, and don't disturb it until it is completely or at least mostly dry. I used a hooded dryer. Pineapple your hair on top of your head or in sections with satin scrunchies before putting a bonnet over it at night. The owners of the The Doux have videos showing how to use their products properly.

Please try the dippity Doo mousse. I have 4c fine strands. It gives my hair moisture and shine. You might like it 🙏 on Amazon 🙏

I tried it last month and umm, yeah no. I really wanted to like it. As I was applying it, I kept saying, “there’s an ingredient or something I’m smelling in this this and I hope it doesn’t break me out.” I couldn’t quite put my finger on the which ingredient(s) though. Within a few hours of applying, my hair looked like day 3 or 4 hair 😩 I was like, I’ll try this again with a different technique, but girl, my scalp started burning and I had to shampoo my hair again that same day to get that mousse out of my hair. I ended up trashing basically a full bottle of that product. It works for some people, and may would’ve/could’ve worked for me with a different technique and/or style, but I couldn’t chance putting that in my head again and experiencing that burning sensation.

I think perhaps using more product. I find stylist to be very generous with products. Also, since you do not often do wash n gos your hair is not trained for it, so it’s ok, you did good. But definitely try again😊

Mousse works for me, but THIS mousse was sticky and tacky and I hated it 🥴. I’d rather use Nairobi.

Maybe use it with ‘we want easy texture tamer’ for conditioning, etc

Well, love the tutorial you just did but I don’t think moose would work out for me. I’d rather put the moose and set my hair on rollers then silk press it. Cuz my hair would absolutely do the frizz thing lol.

You did it wrong. You're supposed to completely saturate your hair with water and the product. You half put the water and the product on your roots. You're not supposed to let it dry overnight. You put it on your hair, scrunch, let it dry for about 30 minutes to an hour then diffuse it. Scrunch while diffusing it lightly. Doffuse it for about 5 minutes and then let air-dry throughout the day. Once your hair is completely dry, then you can pull it apart or fluff it to your desire. If you sleep in it overnight while wearing a bonnet, it will still come out the way yours did. It would turn out like this with all natural haircare products. The only time your hair might completely drop after wearing the bonnet is if your hair was super long (even then you'd still need to add water or a curl refresher) or you have a 3a, 3b or 3c hair type.

My hair was meh with it. I think mousse isn't for me, I need a much stronger hold.

That would only work on my type 3 hairs. But I have type 4 hair too so no. Not wasting all that time for my type 4 hairs to be side-eying my type 3 hairs. We got to keep the peace and unity on this head! I only use products that work the same on both of my textures/curl patterns.

This left a grey cast with flakes for both a wash and go and twist out in my hair. Only ever purchased once, never again 🙅🏽‍♀️

Thanks for being honest. I’ve seen all these RU-vidrs using this and lying to themselves saying it’s bomb. It’s not. It’s typical. It sucks for wash n gos. All their wash n gos turn out frizzy af. Just as u wud expect a mouse to do. Keep it for rod sets only.

Have you tried worlds of curls original gel? Not a strong hold necessarily but it makes my hair feel moisturized and soft.
