As a turkish person, I am glad turkey is getting the cultural recognition as it deserves! Hamams are definitely very relaxing and in hotels, they are usually not divided by genders. There is so much more to see in Turkey other than hamams and i hope to see more videos about turkey or filmed in turkey!

@@whiteswordwarrior9995 The first hammams were found in Arabia and it was the Turks who made them popular by allowing access for all. When the Ottomans took Constantinople (now Istanbul) from the Romans in 1450, they brought with them their own bathing traditions. A number of major hammams in the city were designed by the famous Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan in the 16th century. I found these on Google so it is true that the majority of hamams were renewed and remade by Roman Empire but it was Ottoman Empire who built it with multi functions known today as hamam, Roman empire’s bath cabinets were similar too but did not have as functions as they now have in Turkey(ottoman empire), hope this explanation helps :)

I had that same bath and it was the best bath i have ever had, he washed every nook & cranny and the alternating hot & cold water was invigorating and stimulating at the same time. Afterwards back at the hotel i took a nap & slept like a baby.. 1 of the highlights of my trip to Istanbul

I’m half Turkish and I can fluently speak but I cannot read as well. I love videos like this because I rarely go to Turkey anymore and it gets to show me part of my culture. The last time I went was for a month this summer but before that, I haven’t been for 10 years (I lived there for 2 years and it’s absolutely beautiful!!)

I've experienced this in Izmir and I had a very relaxing 1.5 hour shiatsu massage after the bath. That was really amazing. It's true, you'll feel like a new person after. I miss Turkey!

@Ji Han now it is kind of activity to have a good time, I mean some people do that in bachelorette parties. Parties have music and songs. Other that in some places we can have a great bath (like in this video) without songs and music in our daily life.

I had one done in Olu Deniz was amazing. Afterwards we all had a traditional massage too. The kids were offered a chocolate one!! When we were all done went into a room and was given bottles of cold water and some fruit. It was really refreshing. Kids loved the bubbles part too

It seems gay but trust me it's funnier when you hear the dialogues in real life lol. And we tend to gossip, make music and eat Turkish desserts in Women's Hamam. Also there is Bride's Hamam where the bride, her family's women and the groom's family's women go to hamam spesifically for the bride before wedding. It's a huge culture really.

Haha in western cultures bathing was not done at all. However eastern cultures specially muslims clean and bath themselves every day sometimes 5 times a day for prayers. Europeans learned cleanliness from muslims.
