I’ve never liked abstract art all that much until recently, but I’m finding that playing with abstract stuff is a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
I love the way abstract art looks as home decor. I understand why it sells so well bc it's the perfect final piece to a room that could be so simple or boring. It's nice to see you jump in and try something new. The final piece came out nice, it's purrrrty 😆👍.
Wow! So cool how the light changes the designs on these pieces! Transitional art :) So important to move out of your comfort zone and try new arty things. I find this especially helpful during those periods when I feel uninspired. Learning as much as you can, even if it doesn't seem helpful at the time, can inform your art at a later time, even if just on a subconscious level. Thank you! Love your videos. And sweet Matilda.
It really upsets me when people say that abstract art "isn't art" because it totally is! It's expressive, freeing, therapeutic which is exactly what I think art is or should be.
Reorganising the studio can be so pleasing as if you are in a new space which also allows you to experiment new things , I think this was a lot of fun .
one of the first things that drew me to you was how great of a mindset you have when it comes to pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and being open to experimenting with things. you exude this very free spirited energy and i feel like it always reflects in your work
The way the light hits the texture creating those shadows is really cool. It’s like you have a different piece of art every time you change the lighting.
I'm amazed at the amount of texture and movement you've accomplished with just gesso. It is tricky to get a true sense of variety when the material is all one color, but your 3 canvases look different from one another and simultaneously like part of a set. This has encouraged me to try creating my own art in a less structured manner (maybe more than one at a time). Thank you for making the end of my work day a little less dull.
I have read/seen somewhere that you should mix the plaster paste with PVA glue; it will then not come away from the support. Interesting that you left it white - very effective!

My moms main projects revolve around abstract art and it’s so interesting to see how people interpret and adapt their art preferences to different styles. The texture on these are so beautiful 😭
I've always wanted to play around with textures like this. You always make these big concepts feel so tangible and attainable and I appreciate that because it makes art a more accessible space for people like me as well as people who don't feel that they're good enough to try art.
I honestly admire your creativity. I thought that keeping the artwork white might blend it to the wall behind you. But with the lighting and setup, it looks more luxurious and unique 😍😍😍

Hey Jess! This is really nice and work so well whit your new settings. I higly recommand you to try doing some abstract art 🎨 whit colors using différent tools, masking tape, painting knife and on and on. Theses 3 Canvas are amazings but i was a bit frustrated you don't continue doing things on it whit paint!

I loved how the textures looked even if was only white. The shadows play such a relevant role, as you said it changes how it looks and it's really cool :D
Abstract art to reveals so much of the mind and soul of every artist, at least for me. I love to try and guess what was the mental state of each artist when they made the painting, it's fascinating.💖
If you put some color on them it would be really pretty. I always add a bit to a lot of color. There is a place that make super thick acrylic paint. I am experimenting with it now. Gaffery makes it.
You have been an absolute inspiration to me. Whenever I am not motivated enough, I just watch any one of your videos and it instantly makes me want to pick my pen/pencil/brush.
I love these, I learnt from researching acrylic pouring lightly wetting the back of the canvas will slow the drying time and give you more time to work with the medium
I'll probably never understand abstract art or how on earth people can make such beautiful paintings with such odd shapes but it sure makes for an enjoyable video! 💜
For a moment I was waiting for you to add colour to the pieces... Then in the end, with the light shining on them naturally, I saw that no other colour would be needed! Amazing work, as always!

I have been on a bit of an art bender trying all different mediums and also abstract art. I'm doing acrylic pouring currently and it's so much fun to stay inspired trying new things.

Even if abstract painting is new for you u did a fantastic job Jess I don't how your each and every work turns out to be so beautiful n unique it doesn't happen with me sometimes I'm satisfied with my work but sometimes I'm not but practice makes it perfect you have been doing is for so long u know all the techniques n basic and trust me when I say this I take inspiration from your work I have made some art work taking inspiration from you which I'm gonna share with you currently I'm making fruit heads when u posted that video I thought I won't be able to make fruit heads cuz it seemed difficult to me and I'm not gud at ayclric painting but now I'm confident enough to work on fruit head
i admit i have never really understood abstract art but now i think it's like what i heard people describe pop music as, it's fun , it doesn't overthink things, it's instincual and beautiful
I did something similar and loved it as well. Definitely trying new things is not only eye opening but there's this excitement of dipping your toes into the unknown that just feels exhilarating.
Everytime I watch your videos I get motivated to do something, now I watched this video and I want to do abstract art even though I'm not confident, don't know anything about abstract art and also don't have any supply's for them. Still I wanna try it, that's how amazing you are:):)
You showes how do overcome the fear of that blank canvas...I usually stay quiet nervous in the starting stage of my paintings...and you dealt with 3 BIG CANVASES!!! That abstract art was so awesome...loved it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have never really tried too many mediums when it comes to exploring art. I usually stick to paint and colour pencils but after watching u for soo long I know how important it is to try out new mediums...and sometimes for no reason but to simply enjoy the process. Btw I personally I love the set up 😍
Absolutely love me some abstract art! Sometimes you just have to slap and throw some paint on a canvas to get your feelings out, and not care what anyone else thinks of it

I love creativity and feel the power of art. My favorite quote says: "Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness." This video does the same. Creating as your hand flows is amazing. This is a great encouragement for trying new techniques without any fears.
You amaze me with the results and the journey of your experiments ! In my opinion both setups are awsome. But the last one I think is more relaxing to watch ! I especially love that you show us that experimenting with different techniques doesn’t have to be complicates or expensive.
