I’ve just started to use Shea butter with aloe Vera and some mixed oils (hair mask) and it’s feeling very moisturised for last couple of weeks (especially in dry, cold UK). I’ve just trimmed hair (usually do every 5 weeks or so). I had shedding previously but this has improved slightly 💃🏾👍🏽💪🏾🇬🇧
Wow interesting! We live in NY so it gets VERY cold here as well so we might have to give that a try! Thank you for commenting and supporting us Angela 💜
every now and then I sleep on shea butter but i always come back to it, its so good for hair and skin. my friend uses it she's in her 40s she looks like a damn teen. I'm gonna quit spending so much money on other products and really start using it again
5 years later and I absolutely love your twistout 😊 It look so healthy,,fluffy,,shiny. I haven't done a twistout with shea butter in a long time and girrrllll this video is taking me back lol. Definitely enjoyed and stay blessed 🙌
My hair is very short and a couple of months ago when I used shea butter at a friend's house, I absolutely loved my twist out! My hair has never been able to be combed out and styled so easily. Thanks for sharing!
I do this, but not with shea butter. I do mango and kokum butter mixed with almond, jojoba, rosemary, and rosehip oils. My hair stays soft longer than with any store bought products and it's super shiny!
I too just bought my first shea butter and used it today as my leave-in just as you and I also love it… Hi I know this was two years ago but I’m grateful for it. I made a New Years pledge no heat or color all of 2022 except my birthday if I wish. It’s been a challenge, but I’m not surprised because been perm free almost 15yrs now just never embraced my national hair. I will be putting Shea Butter in all my beauty routines for now on.
@@amayam1894 Shea butter is like crack for my hair. I’ve coated my hair in leave in & 3 types of grease & my hair will be dry in 2 to 3 days. Compared to when I was using Shea butter, I could go 2 to 3 wks before having to re-moisturize
So this is my first time using African shea butter in my hair. I'm doing a bantu knot out and I have 4C hair I'm so very excited to see what it's going to turn out like so that I can add this to my regiment.
Thanks for this Beautiful one! I’ve been mixing my shea because I thought I needed to have different weighted oils that I use at once but now I’m going to try it straight...I have the raw white shea currently. I’m so looking forward to how it comes out!:)))
You didn’t know it can be used on hair? 🤨 I’m confused lool it’s best used as an sealant if it’s just Shea butter alone But if there’s a product with water and Shea butter It’s a moisturizer 😊
@@ejekwoluchinweotuto7267 me too it doesn't seal for me being a high porosity,my hair drinks it up .i use the raw Shea butter as a mosturizer and seal with hair grease.
I use to use this all the time for my hair ❤️before I did the big chop and now I’m growing it back. But yes it do work and always had twist in my hair try not to touch your hair often if you can.
You can actually melt the Shea butter and makes it even better to apply on hair, body and face. Loved your video! Do you know which brand name of Shea butter is edible. I hear you can also eat it but it must say food grade. If you know of any good name brands I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advanced.
after i shampoo my hair, i rub in some jamaican black castor oil, shea butter, and a conditioner, my hair got thicker in some days, and stayed moisturized for about 2 days, after 2 days, i just dampen my hair a lil bit with some water, and my hair is ready to go again. Previously, no matter what i did, my hair used to get dry in just a few hours. Got trouble to grow my hair too. But the first day i put shea butter in my hair after the castor oil, put in my conditioner, i twisted my hair, and it stayed twisted for 2 days, even though i slept on it without it up or anything, my Girl friend thought i twisted my hair the morning lololol.
Wow! Mixing shea butter and conditioner after your shampoo process sounds like a good idea! We will have to try that! Thank you for the tip and thank you for your support 💕💕
@@TheYardeGirls yeh, castor oil first, then the shea butter, then the leave in conditioner, i promise you, do that today, and feel your hair tomorrow, it will be soft and totally moisturized. BTW, much thanks to the info in your video.
@@TheYardeGirls thank you so much for replying. I am currently doing my 4c hair and i like the texture of the sheabutter on it! i believe that it will keep my hair less dry and more moisturized. Do you also have tips when it comes to parting hair with a comb. It is so difficult that i have to do it with my fingers. But it does not come out nicely. Thanky you
I’m glad you like it. No time for brittle hair! We use a wooden comb which we find works amazing for detangling. The company actually sells the comb saturated in oil so it’s perfect.
I used it one time on my hair and my hair was so moisturized and soft. Could never get it right after that and idk what I did lol. Maybe one day I’ll experiment again...
if you have low porosity I suggest you put it on while your hair is under hot water or with steam from the shower, it loosens up you hair allowing for that moisture to get in, good luck💗
I’m currently using Shea butter currently I did a big chop a few months back and now letting it grow back out , it’s made my hair super soft and I’m wondering does it promote hair growth as well ???? Because I’m using this and a oil called wild hair growth
Congrats on making the decision to get that big chop sis!! Shea butter restores and strengthens your hair so I would say that it helps with the promotion of hair growth!
Mine was but it doesn’t have to be. Just make sure you put the shea butter in your palm and rub your palms together to melt the butter- prevents clumps of shea butter in your hair.
@@TheYardeGirls i used to have shoulder lenght and from 2019 i realise its falling of now it dry and short i really missed my hair i dont know what could have caused it dont know if its my anxiety or stress i miss my hair wish i could send u a pic of how it looks then and now😞
More so strengthens the hair so it doesn’t break as easily. So I suppose in turn it does give the illusion that it’s grown the hair. I’ve personally found less hair loss. I hope that helps 💕 And thank you Jayda 🤎
You probably used too much. You only need one or two dollop size amounts for your hair. And it should be used on damp hair cause it's a sealant, not a moisturizer. You'll need to shampoo twice to get it out since you used alot.
@@osimeon00 i got it out... i was so done thank you for your advice... i only had handsoap :( bc i don't use regular shampoo only like a soap made from olive oil
I don’t see why not but I’m also wondering if it’s marketed towards hand and skin does it have additive ingredients that are just better suited for skin. Is there any ingredients that you’re concerned about?
"Real black people hair"? That's a bit of an ignorant statement. So what, all the Africans in Africa who don't have an "afro" are not black enough for you?
