There's not a really an eligibility criteria to do undergrad in the US You need to have 1) Good Grades 2) A few extracurriculars that you might have a passion for and displayed it doing some activity ( can be anything from video games to sports , musics , beat boxing,travelling ,etc) 3) Test Scores - universities usually require Toefl/ IELTS scores ( English tests) and although u can take the SAT/ACT( they're optional, but give the university a good understanding of where you stand internationally) 4) Essays - universities usually ask you to type up an essay ( based on a given question,this essay helps them determine your character and if you are fit for that particular University or not) 5) Recommendation letters from teachers , guidance counselor,etc. ( This usually explains the admission officers how the student interacted with the school and how well he did ) Usually private universities cover your financial needs , but public universities can only give scholarships based on merit . You can apply to universities through "common app" or "coalition app" or by using their particular sites . There is no limit of the number of universities you apply to ( common app has a limit of 20 , but you can apply to others through their sites). Usually common app or college board( SAT test organization) send the application/ test scores to the university on their own but they require a fee , usually they give you 5-6 free transfers after which you have to pay, you can get a fee waiver ( I don't know about the process for a few waiver) which can waive off the fee and you can send your application) test score for free . You can search all the information, currently there's no criteria , universities look for the above mentioned stuff. There's alot of info on the net , make sure to research properly about everything.
