I tried Controller for 7 Days - Is Aim Assist broken?

With roughly 4,000 hours in Apex on controller, I just want to say I really appreciate your approach and that it wasn't an aim assist bash or anything along those lines. Nothing but respect for you.

I remember back in Season 3 you said you'd probably never play controller, and now here we are, I've been waiting for this day for years

it’s crazy because maybe because I’ve played both kbam & controller all my life it’s easier to just swap between the two & perform, but you’d think with a genuine understanding of the game mechanics it wouldn’t be that hard, but then again, kandy had 0 controller experience what’s so ever prior to this, just shows how different the two worlds are.

The edition for this video is GOD. I'm glad that Kandy now realizes the controller is not an "invencible aim assist that always hit 100%"

I loved this video, not because of the MnK vs Controller thing I don't even play cross-platform anymore, but the support he gave while learning controller and the quote "moments of extreme growth, moments of flat feeling like nothing has changed" really stood out to me. We all need a friend like that.

controller aim aisist is really strong when it comes to beaming close range but it makes up for the lack of movement potentiall so as a pc player i think its pretty balanced especially when it comes to aim asist on pc using a controller since it is a little bit lower (since most pcs give you a preformance boost in fps against the 60 fps on a ps4 or xbox 1)

I’ll preface by saying I very rarely write RU-vid comments, however… Kandy, you and your team/friends have really dialed in these videos. You’re on the short list of Apex RU-vidrs that really know how to tell a story. That and your banter with Boom has gotta be the best this game has seen.

This content is amazing, but I feel like the video editing isn't what I'm comfortable with, the editing before it's like kandy-ish(?) and now it's like the typical gamer editing with no more Kandy essence in it, like I could watch your old videos all day without being irritated but now with this kind of editing I can't watch more than 3 minutes. Finding your settings for controller is important not gonna lie I use Advanced look controls over regular sensitivitys cause I have enough experience

As a 2 time diamond and controller player all my life, I can definitely say keyboard and mouse has way more benefit's then controller, but I also feel like when you're used to both it's they're both easy to use. Using controller is still probably easier if you haven't used both because of aim assist though, it helps with being able to fine tune your aim so you can hit targets easier.

I love that this is a perfect representation that aim assist is not as broken as what PC players make it out to be. You still have to aim. You still have to be good.

As you can all see. Aim assist doesnt help much. Controller player only have 1 thumb to aim with that they also need to use to hit 4 other buttons.

Ok, I am a big fan of Kandy but i want to give some constructive criticism on the new style. It at times seems a little excessive. Sometimes it seems like there is a little to much editing and memes being thrown in. I know people enjoyed the older edits and videos because it was just a vibe (The Lo-Fi music, the stories Kandy and Boom would share, the minimal editing). I know Kandy is experimenting and trying new things, and i 100% believe he will fine tune everything and find a balance within the edits. And of course I will 100% be watching every upcoming video not only because Kandy is my favorite apex creator but also because im excited to see where Kandy will push his content next! Love You Kandy!
