Maxis keep saying they’re not builders so why not hire some of our best cc creators to do stuff packs. That way you can choose to buy and we actually get good quality. I play cities skylines and they’ve done that several times with great result. Like they released their campus dlc and a separate stuff pack on the same theme from one of the main creators.
Or like a Community Content Pack where they collect a whole bunch of already made CC from other people and then (with the CC creators permission) include their mods in an official pack, makingit non-CC. They didn't even have to take the time to make it, just get it from the modders, and then implement it into the game!
I bet if you asked EA for a big square dining table, they’d just say “it would take too much time”, it’s sad that they have to rely on cc/mod creators to fix the holes/problems in the game smh 🤦♀️
@@loonastan420 As a console player, it legitimately hurts me that I can't use cc for my game.And I don't want to buy it on my computer cause I already have all the packs on console.
Be careful going down the build cc rabbit hole is more dangerous than going down the CAS cc rabbit hole...it goes deep and dark and before you know it you've been shopping for 3 hours and than you have to download all the things and now you're too tired to actually play the sims, but you still have to go in game to see what everything looks like smh. I've legit sat and downloaded everything from one creator and than several hours pass and you realize they have more stuff and you need it ALL.
Evan Sweeney when you finally set everything up 13 hours later in a tiny house and you have to wait until then next day to play because your eyes are going to fall out.
@@MacsUsername nah as long as you have enough space for updates and you don't have any malware running rampant on your computer, the game runs perfectly! Just need a slightly powerful PC is all.
7:09 they should make wall details like moulding, half wall panelling, etc into a separate category so you can pick your wall color and then put the details on top of it and it all matches. there could be a variety of different designs that you could mix and match with any color it would be so cool.... and an option to manually place corner trims.

I mean RoM has some nice build stuff, especially the windows and that huge four poster bed (that only has energy 5 wtf), but when I first saw the Pufferhead Stuff Pack way back when I was honestly impressed. The Pufferhead stuff is easily the most Maxis match cc I've seen and I love to use it in my kids bedrooms. I donated when I downloaded it, because honestly you get so much stuff, it's so matching and that person offers it for free, the least one can do is give a little back. It's honestly mind blowing sometimes how quickly cc creators throw out e.g. those Sulani kitchen island counters, or bedframes and bedding separately while EA takes forever and then even screws up. I remember James showing how quickly one can do a cc white shelf before they finally added that to the game. I do feel sorry for the Sims team though, I bet they get a lot of pressure from EA and sometimes when you read the descriptions of items you can tell they put love into it. But you know, quality control needs to get better so things like the island counters don't happen anymore.

This opened my eyes. When I hear “build cc” I think if the hideous alpha cc from way back in the day but this, this is good. Might have to start using build cc since I’m too broke to afford the packs
Oooh Around the Sims is really good Maxis Match too, I started off with Sims by playing Sims 3 last year and loved what she made for Sims 3. As soon as I got Sims 4 I downloaded her Sims 4 CC.

I love that your builds are cc free to download BUT I wouldn't mind watching the occasional (very occasional) all out cc build. It's fun to see what you can do with it.
I just discovered Peacemaker a day ago and have pretty much downloaded everything. It’s amazing! My builds can now look exactly how I would want them to look if I lived in them. I’ve never even had any cc before either. People make such amazing stuff!!!!!
I think the process probably takes a lot of time because she'd have to remember every cc pack that was used, but like she said, if she used just one or two packs at a time then it wouldn't be much trouble at all :O
@@Crazypeople246 she could just reblog everything on Tumblr or when she downloads it just copy and paste the link into a google doc and post the google doc into the video description. Still time consuming but it would only need to be done once and she can update it as she adds/removes broken cc items from her game

Not everyone wants to download cc every time they want to use a build. It can get pretty tedious to download especially if the builder uses a lot. Not to mention that having a lot of cc slows some people’s computers down.
I love how most of the clutter CC are Sims 3 conversions. Makes me appreciate the sims 3 more! And by the way, the CC creators are so creative and hard working people to make these things for us to use!
I completely agree about the wall molding. It becomes a major setback in my builds, and I end up just using paneling instead of wallpaper or paint. The pufferhead stuff pack is one of the best cc packs I've seen. The items are amazing.
I've been avoiding it for years but this weekend I finally gave up and decided to get a few pieces of CC... so I downloaded about 750 build & buy items which translate to 1.4 GB of disk space taken (yes, moderation is really not my strong suit).
@@nastjaajdnik7236 I know, that's why I've been avoiding it all those years :D Luckily I managed to limit myself to just Peacemaker's content (plus a few a build packs from TSR and MDT).
White Tea and Peonies I play sims on Xbox and I hardly get on it cause the base game and dlc items are not all that great I wish they added cc or the gallery.
The Club Vanderberger set was one of my faves in TS3. I used it all the time and miss it with TS4. Also, that black window looks like one that used to be in the BauHaus Set in TS3.
I have most of those items in my game, but there were def a few I haven't ever seeeeen. I really love finding great Maxis Match CC. I can't build to save my life, but I LOVE decorating. I play Second Life and I go insane buying all sorts of super cute stuff and I'll sit in my chair for hours listening to music, decorating a house or apartment. Keep it up for a week, just to tear it all down and do it again lol. Once I got unlazy and started finding cute CC stuff that match TS4, I started doing the same in there. I love saving builds (including yours) either furnished or unfurnished. I'll add different touches to furnished ones---that's like a fun puzzle. Or I'll take everything out of builds and do it myself. Clearly I need a social life! Also, your joy made me so happy! I was cooking dinner while I watched and all I wanted to do was STOP COOKING AND GO PLAY hahaha

I did notice that certain build mode CC (most notably tables when sims interact with them) do provide last exceptions sometimes, so make sure you play test your tables and stuff o.o unsure why exactly, could be how two things of CC interact maybe
The people who make this stuff FOR FREE and often do it better than EA does FOR 10 DOLLARS or more are actually legends, like they're giving us so much content that pretty much anyone can access as long as they have base game.
I would love it if you made builds with cc! Just post credits on your tumblr. It would be a great way to see new build and buy items that we can download as well. Sometimes the pics they put up don’t do the items justice. Seeing them inside of your builds would be awesome! I think the cc is way better than the content that EA gives us. Plus it’s free. People can’t always afford all of the official packs so this is a great way to be more inclusive with your followers. Most importantly though.....you seem to LOVE cc! And we LOVE seeing you this happy and excited! You’re an artist and this is your tool set. Don’t limit yourself to EA only tools. We will be happy to see you this happy! And download some happy for ourselves 😄
OMG, I get the same vibe from Simsie int this video that I get from the rainbow sponge videos. It's just wholesome unfiltered joy from the smallest things! TBH if seeing how happy she is in this video doesn't spark joy within you, then nothing will
