I love this game. Reminds me of old school games where it's just wacky fun gameplay instead of movie-esque or competitive or ubisoft-like games that are so frequent nowadays

They describe it as “blade runner meets muppets” and that’s something I can really get behind.

As someone who hasn’t watched a single moment of Rick and Morty, I’m thoroughly enjoying this game. I’m glad it’s so whacky because so many major releases are generic cookie cutter shooters. At least this, and Pentiment is another example, are trying whackadoodle ideas to expand the medium. A few performance issues on my XSX but other than that it’s… oddly engaging.

This game feels like it came out too late in the overall popularity sphere of Rick and Morty. It would have killed if it came out during Rick and Morty seasons 1-3.

It's so weird in such a good way. Not the most amazing game ever, but I had fun with it. I would recommend it for gamepass owners cause it's actually a pretty good time.

The gameplay and style of the game reminds me a lot of Journey to the Savage Planet.

This Game is actually really cool. Love it so much. its a bit addictive. but overall its soooo good. If xbox game pass didn't have this available I would of probably never tried it out.

You can adjust the chatter frequency. Default is high, can be reduced to occasional or turned off entirely.

You should also realize that GP will lead to games devalution if there is no return.. the games will get cheaper to buy (free) and will be cheaply made

Only killed the first boss, but so far I love it. Definitely my kind of humor that is nicely paired with some fun gameplay. Give it a shot if you can!

There was a time I never would've looked at a game like this but I downloaded it on to XB yesterday. I just looks like a lot of fun without taking itself too seriously.

honestly the opening was awesome. i loved the call back to the last game and then pulling out to the real game is great

I don't have a problem with the game, but this is the type of humour where all your friends will tell you how gut-busting laugh out loud funny every moment is, then you play and four hours later you haven't even cracked a smile and you're wondering if this is even the right game they mentioned. "Oh there's a box, why, why don't you open the box, open the box, don't you want to open the box? Come on open the box" Opens Box "There's nothing in the box, it's empty, y-you've wasted our time, we're all older and closer to death because you opened this box" You'll either laugh at the funny random unexpected dialogue or You'll feel the game is treating you like an idiot, "Yes, I opened the box because you told me to, rambling like a drunk and stating the obvious isn't funny"

The lack of polishing in this game is just whopping

I love the excuse of "sure it's a bad game but it's on gamepass", people seem to use that a lot lol. But ngl i kind of love this game just for it's humor, kind of sucks it's doing so bad review wise at least they got cash from M$.

The game rocks, the Easter eggs are incredible as I sit in the games theater writing this, the humor is subjective but most of these bad reviews are written by unhappy people unable to unwind and just chill

Due to the fact the game relies heavily on humour and the fact humour is subjective also means you're view of the game varies depending on who u are. Case closed

Trover Saves the universe was fun for a while for me, but the dialogue does get old after so many hours. Can't just sit down and play these sorts of game in a long session, at least for me. I need to play in bursts, have a laugh and then come back to it another day.

The thing is with Rolland’s dialogue, is that every line of dialogue is a family cut away gag, and it loses its novelty quickly when he uses the same structure for every joke. There is a line between useful dialogue between characters, even joking banter between characters, and just in ending babble

If you liked the rick and morty seasons after season 2, you will like it. To me it's terrible

_High on Life_ somehow reminds me of _Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath_ with the "organic guns".

This game is so good. Not just the humor either. The gameplay is phenomenal, and when you get kitted out and are able to smoothly switch between wepons in combat move around the battlefield really fluidly

What makes me super happy, is that this game is an example of growth within the games industry! While playing through God Of War I realized how detailed the dialogue was. And now seeing this game, it’s another great example of that! And it’s just different… which is something we really need after a stale several years of blandness.

I just started the game and my favorite part so far is when you shoot the kid you get the achievement Fall Out Does not let you do this that was hilarious.

I get a feeling imma have some fun with this. So far this year I’ve beaten god of war Ragnarok, Elden Ring 3 times, Cyberpunk 2077 twice, Forbidden west, Halo infinite campaign, Resident evil 2, 3 and 8, the last of us part 1 remake and just finished that cheap dead space game forgot the name already but it’s all been serious and heartbreaking shit I will Defo enjoy some Rick and morty humor

You can also turn down the amount of "Banter" that your guns/weapons do if it bothers you! Just go into the settings & you'll see the options.

Lots of games have talking guns nowadays (e.g. Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077 and a few guns in Borderlands 3), but not all do it well and none base the game around those interactions. This looks like a unique experience.

With myself it has always been about the gameplay, I can ignore everything else if the gameplay is up to snuff....few reviews I have seen have barely touched on that part lol

I need reviewers to start looking at ALL SETTINGS so repeating things like "dialouge" won't be an issue because there's a setting to LOWER THE DIALOUGE OR TURN IT OFF.

I was really interested in this game until I found out that the movement keys on PC are hard bound to WSAD, you just cannot rebind them, until they fix this I'm not buying. What is it with devs these days not bothering to do the most basic of things that have been done on PC since the 90's. On top of that there is no FOV slider so if you suffer from motion sickness of just don't like a zoomed in view your stuffed and apparently you cannot turn off motion blur as well, just sheer laziness.

The problem isn’t that these negative reviews simply “don’t find it funny”, it’s that it offends them. These people made up their minds the second they saw the game was being made by Justin roiland because they hate his humor. In one of the low reviews I read, the typical games journalist was crying about a suicide joke and how the jokes in general were “too taboo” I’m sure some of the jokes just simply aren’t that funny, but any other normal human being who isn’t miserable and looking for reasons to be negative is gonna enjoy the majority of it.

So people love the same crap over and over again, but when something new/exciting and fresh comes up they have all sorts of opinions instead of supporting it. Man I really wish I had xbox right now although this might come to PS5 next year.

high on life gameplay is flat out bad, let's not beat around the bush. it is a very subpar arena shooter with a few gimmick. if you want to play it for the shooting go away because. but yes, if you like justin royland humour, it is good. probably not his best work if i am honest, i wasn't laughing nearly as hard as i thought i would. but that's the price you pay for having to pace your humour for the lenght of a game instead of a much shorter show. that's a 7/10 for me, maybe 8 if you are a hardcore fan of the jokes

For me its the "quirky" cringe filled dialogue, can't stand it at all. This game screams band-kid more than any game I've ever seen, people can like what they want but its a rock hard pass for me. 🤭

Gameplay was generic but you play it for the story and humor. It's very similar to the deadpool game in that way. Generic gameplay but you rofl the whole game. In short, loved it.

I don’t think it’s the review scale, just the reviewers. They can tell us there personal issues with the game itself, but the review has to be non bias. Like Gameranx, aka jake who always makes it clear about subjective parts of a game and at the end of the review he doesn’t hold what will be subjective like humor effect the overall worth of a game

I finished the first big level and man I love this game and boy the Easter eggs! I won't say what but it literally took me out of the game and I forgot I was playing a game and it was perfection 😂

Kinda reminds me of one of my favorite games, rogue trooper. The guns talk to you too. Your squad dies and you put their chip on your gun and you can use them along your travels. One was a medic, one a gunner... I forgot the other. But you get them over time, not all at once. It was a great underground game, back on ps2. I have it on my Xbox series s. Not remastered or anything but not every old game needs one.
