@@danyellfeeley5822 Yeah you go to any other fast food place and their employees are completely miserable. Making minimum wage, overworked, treated like garbage by customers and management. There's generally just a different vibe when you go to In & Out because of it. It doesn't feel like a hell hole of misery.
Fun fact: Not only does In N Out not use frozen beef, they actually own their own cattle ranches. The rule is that the restaurants cannot be more than 1 day's drive from their ranch in a refrigerated truck. This is one reason they are very slow to expand out from the western states. On top of that, they are family-owned and do not license franchises.
Strong family loyalty towards one another is also a key to their success and they pass on that same mindset to the store employees. If you look into their history, each Snyder family member from each generation after the next tries to do their best to honor a previous member’s wishes and legacy.
@@laurarules3642 you need to try Fatburger the original location though and get the single size burger with cheese and a fried egg you won’t be disappointed and I’m from nyc oh and make sure to get the fat fries not the regular ones and their house made lemonade plus a chocolate or vanilla shake
@@HeyYoFabels what are you on about lmao? obviously a developed country has more regulations than most countries hahah... i'm talking about the american fast food franchises like mcdonalds and burger king... They're the only places not serving fresh food....
I am english but grew up in California. In-N-Out is an absolute staple and couldn't tell you how many times I've eaten it. Probably the thing I miss the most living back in UK now.
Did you go to the In-N-Out pop-up restaurant in London in 2016 or 2018? I live in L.A. but saw them on the news. The line was so long they ran out of food.
@@reedberry No I wasn't in the UK at that time but heard about it. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll open up a restaurant here one day. I doubt it though.
@@christopherduggan6272 I rather doubt it too, mainly because since the company is still family owned, they're hesitant to grow too big or expand too far from home base in the L.A. area.
That's a decent looking burger. Sometimes a simple burger with good quality ingredients is the way to go. Many burger joints these days try outdoing each other by adding too many ingredients and the flavors tend to cancel each other out.
The best thing about their ingredients is that they're genuinely fresh. They cut the raw potatoes in the back to make the fries right in the shop, they cut all the veggies right there in the store too, and the patties are never frozen. I once talked to a manager at in-n-out years ago, when they were just starting to expand into texas, and I asked why they weren't expanding further. It's because they source all of their ingredients from specific growers/farmers, and because everything needs to be fresh and never frozen, they had to build up their processing and logistics to be able to give the expected quality half way across the country
@@ritwikjs I’ve never tasted a burger that tasted like in n out and I disagree. The buns are the best I’ve ever had and I’m from California the burger capital of the world.
Exactly- That’s the thing about In-N-Out. The menu is nothing groundbreaking, even the secret menu stuff is just the same food/ingredients used in creative ways. The food is, dare I say, generic But the thing that makes In-N-out special is just how well-executed that generic food is. How fresh the ingredients are. How it comes together. The chain has an Alton Brown-like laser focus on the freshness of each simple ingredient It’s like someone took a top of the line 1950s fast food burger joint and transplanted it to today They don’t try to reinvent the wheel, they just keep pumping out the same wheels you’ve seen a million times before. But they’re as well-engineered and designed as wheels get
I love In-N-Out because it is fresh and cooked to order. They grind their own meat, bake their own bread, slice their fresh vegetables and fresh cut their fires. Their lemonade is very good as well. I used to live just a few blocks from an In-N-Out and would stop there on my way home from work and grab dinner a time or two per week.
McDonalds and Burger king need to watch this. The burgers actually look like the photos on the menu, not the roadkill they usually serve. Every Vegas and LA trip for me involves at least a trip every other day to In n Out. Small menu, great taste
@@paddington1670 Whopper meat taste like putty or rubber. I wish we exported better stuff to our neighbors in Canada, seems like it's mostly the bad sht.
Love watching Danny, he's so nice ... his hospitality is what makes him so worth watching. We all need a danny rate my takeaway in our lives. Enjoy hunny. Your happy everyone is happy xxx
I was in the line behind Danny and he had this incredible stench. And whenever he would let out a laugh it was a straight poop smell that would linger around. He had cartoon stink lines coming from him. And he’s oblivious to people saying “pew” or “yuck” or “ omg sick” It’s a stench I’ll never forget and if it was in my country I would have buried him where he stood. He uses the table as establishments are t going to let some massive human stinkbomb eating and turning away customers.
Londoner here. When I was in San Fran, I visited InNOut most days! Animals fries and a double double every time. Unreal for a “fast food” place. Love it.
@@kaosaechao56 Mcdonalds generates more revenue because there is one in almost every country on this planet and it's nostalgic to some people. In n Out has 1 country and in that country it's only in 6 states in the western united states. By all means you do you but I'm going to choose higher quality food even if that means I have to wait a little longer. Let's also not pretend like Mcdonalds has never had lines before.
@@rawbmar1166 look if I had to choose I’d take In and Ou over McDonald but to sit here and say there’s no issue about In and Out is dishonest. Every single time I go there, it’s a long wait. Same with Chick-Fil-A
Best burger in the world. In and out burger is usually my first stop after landing in any state that has them. The flight from England is an 11 hour period of salivation. A 4 by 4 burger, animal fries and loads of yellow peppers is my go to order.
Best burgers I've ever had, full stop. Great taste, freshly made and excellent value. Only bad thing is that they are only in certain states in the US.
Excellent video and review. I live in L.A. not far from Baldwin Park where In-N-Out (still a family owned company) started back in 1948. It's the best classic burger around. That's why cars line up down the street to enter their drive-thru, and many In-N-Out locations have two drive-thru lanes. A true California success story. And it made quite a splash in London when they did pop-up restaurants there in 2016 and 2018.
Me and my hubby tried in &out burger and other burger places on our trip to San Francisco and LA and we decided not only was in & out the best we had in America but the best burger we had ever and we still talk about it and wanting to go back and have it again to this day.
Go to R&B drive-in in Hutchinson, Kansas and order a beltbuster with cheese add bacon and tell me In-N-Out is better. I went there to visit my aunt who was having health problems (I live in Los Angeles) and she had me pick her up some burgers and fries from there and I figured I'd try it and let's just say... I was completely blown away at how good it was, for a small city in Kansas it was insane. I've had In-N-Out well over 500 times in my life and this quant drive-in built in like 1960 was so much better that I would consider moving there if I didn't have a good job and family/friends where I live. I mean, it was seriously that good and I'm not exaggerating. It was kind of greasy but you could tell the ingredients were quality and the cheese was melty, the burger patties are similar to smashburger's, and they were well put-together.
No idea how I found this channel but it's fun watching a Northerner in the US. I'm from the UK and moved to Philly and Italian hoagies and cheesesteaks were a revelation. New Orleans muffuletta is also one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, hands down. I do miss a good doner kebab though.
The tour is great, but the lengthy stares he gets make me feel so awkward since I'm quite introverted. But he clearly isn't bothered in the slightest, so good for him.
Couldn't believe it when Danny said it was just $15! Was expecting more around $30-$40 with what prices he has previously been paying. Very good value for money. Those loaded fries looked delicious!
When I was out in California, (from Glasgow), I really thought that In N Out was superb for a fast food restaurant. Really fresh and made for you, not just food sitting there waiting for someone to order it. Unfortunately for me I only tried it on my last day in LA or else I would've been there a lot more. Well done Danny for highlighting this place to anyone from the UK who is heading over to the West Coast area of the States.
Yep, I've been floored by the prices he has been paying at places. I pay less than $2.00 for my excellent foot long hot dog and refillable drink at Costco down the street from me, and to see him pay over $15 for a hot dog blows my mind. I'd love to see him at more places away from the tourist zones. So far in this series besides In and Out I thought the Brooklyn deli and the Mexican restaurant were the most reasonable. But that place off Broadway, that was insanely priced for some pitiful bbq. Come on down South, Danny. We'll set you up with some great BBQ for a reasonable price. Oh, and some real portions. :p
you havent tried many if you think in n out is the best in the world hehe its good no doubt in n out and five guys are amazing but there are sooo many local restaurant and burger joints making much better burgers then these.
Dude it’s a fast food chain. If you think that’s the best burger you need to get out more. & this is coming from a Californian who’s had in n out about a hundred times
Finally Danny tries the In n Out burger , it's the best fast food burger in the west. It's a corporate operation but I think it is still being ran by the family that started it and they limit how many restaurants they will open so they don't get to spread out and ultimately lose the quality service and food. Growing up in the 60's and 70's I lived in the city where they opened their first restaurant , a drive thru back then if you got in line it would remind you of the movie American graffiti , 50's style cars and roadsters guys with the girl friends and others just hanging out right down the street from my high school it was great.
Yes, they are still being run by a family. And one of the reasons why they only exist in Ca (and a few nearby places) is that all employees who are going to be managers need to go and take classes at "In n Out University", which is a building in southern CA where they are taught exactly how to maintain the consistent high quality of all the outlets in the chain.
Actually it is not a corporate operation. The company is still fully owned (private) by the family and is currently under the direction of the grand daughter of the family. Many attempts have been made to buy them or to get them to offer franchising but they have not done that. It was the founder's wish that the company stays in the family. Of course, he couldn't have imagined the wild success that it has become. Best burger on the planet in my opinion.
fun fact in and out doesn't use freezers, every single day they get a truck delivery. Also they have their own beef. No franchises. A great burger but also gotta give them props its high quality at every single restaurant they have and there are lots.
So what happens if they sell out the delivery early, do they just close? Or. what happens to all food they don't sell at the end of the night, do they throw it away?
@@JC-gm3zs They'll do a special delivery to the store to get ANYTHING they need. In N Out is extremely adamant about always having product on hand for the customer. You'll never go to an In N Out, ask for a shake, or chilies or ANYTHING, and be told, "I'm sorry sir/ma'am, we're sold out".
Glad to see you liked it! What people who say In-N-Out sucks compared to X burger chain (those folks who don’t have proper working taste buds) don’t understand is that In-N-Out is still family owned and takes mad pride in it’s food and how it pays/treats its employees. Every other burger chain is corporate and they cut away that freshness by using frozen ingredients to increase their revenue
This is an adventure, seeing you do In And Out, which is one of the best quality burger places, with their simple and basic fresh ingredients, delivering that almost backyard barbecue sort of flavor effect. It’s fantastic. Tuck in, there, Danny. Cheers!
Being from Los Angeles this made me happy. Its a gem. My order has changed over the years. Before my most recent it was two double doubles with whole grill in addition, animal style with chili's on the side and a water. Lately its been a 3*3 the same way with the combo with animal style fries and a root beer or the homemade pink lemonade, Chilis on the side. Must have it animal style, could've axed the pickles.
I also have like 3 burgers I order depending on the mood. 3x3 with cheese only, Double with whole grilled onion, or all out Animal Style double with chopped chillies. Even though the prices keep slowly going up, the value is still insane compared to the other crappier burger chains.
In & Out makes the best fast food chain burger. I like how the salty fatness of the meat contrasts with the cool crunch of the salad .Their food is fresh because all their locations are within a days drive of their distribution centers. That is why almost all their locations are in the western US. In & Out is also very good to their employees, associates make almost twice what burger king and McD's worker make. The location managers also make 2 1/2 to 3 times what the other chains pay and they stay on the job anaverage of 15 years vs 3 years for the other chains. In & Out is the only fast food burger chain that Eric Shlosser author of FAST FOOD NATION will eat at.
What I love about In-and-Out is that there price to quality ratio is locked in! it is very reasonably priced and the quality is good, I also really like their Chocolate shakes.
Danny: What should I try in Las Vegas? People: (Insert California chain restaurant here) To be fair, Vegas doesn't have many original takeaway-style restaurants (EVEL PIE!), but that just means it may not be as good a place to go as, say, Seattle or KC or Chicago.
If you get the chance, do it. You'll not be disappointed. Most people that say otherwise have something personal against it for some reason. There's a reason that every location is packed all day, every day with a drive-thru line going around the block.
They have a single source of meat. It ran into trouble years back, but its fixed now. They arent like a Big Chain, because they will not build a restaurant that is too far away from the meat source. That gives it a more consistent product and better control of the meat.
In N Out is primarily in the southwest of the US. It's expansion has methodical. Their hamburger is not frozen. It is fresh, and to do that they only in states they believe can be served without much travel delay. It started in California. Enjoying your videos from Orange County (The OC) California. Thank you.
In and Out has it's own farms and supplies fresh produce to all its locations, which is why you will only find and In and Out on certain parts of the west coast.
California native here. As someone who has had access to in n out roughly once every 1-2 months, I love seeing people try it and enjoy it. They are not the best burgers in the world and the people either love or hate the fries, but in n out has a certain taste that sometimes you just crave. Like McDonalds isnt great but sometimes you absolutely need those fries sometimes. I also have seen plenty of people talk mad crap about it and then like a year later they start craving it
LMAO!!! You said it was busy?? That is NOT busy for In 'n' Out, that was basically dead for an In 'n' Out place. I heard you say upon examination of the first burger "It looks fresh." That's because it IS fresh. EVERYthing at In 'n' Out is fresh, nothing is frozen. You can watch them slicing up the potatoes for fries. I always get a Double Double with cheese and grilled onions yessir!! They started in the L.A. area many many moons ago. When I was living in San Diego I drove out of my way after skiing in the mountains of LA to go to the #2 location once. You could taste the mileage on the grill in the burger, it was completely amazing! Great video Danny!!
As far as I know, difference between this place and McDonald's is that, the patties are not frozen. I used to work at McDonald's, meat patties all came in a frozen box and were not even thawed. It went straight from freezer to flash fried on both sides for 10 seconds. Thats real American food. I would go Mexican or ethnic for remainder of my stay in the US.
In and Out makes probably my favorite fast- food burger. Of the big chains, it can't be beat. The prices are reasonable, the staff competent and cheerful, the restaurants are clean and everything is done efficiently. All-in-all, they are tops.
Insanely good value for money, absolutely insane compared to many other places. Anthony Bourdain’s favourite, you try getting both those burgers, fries and drink for £15 in the U.K. from Five Guys…not happening. Quality!
Always wanted to try In n Out Burger, and wish they'd open shops over here. As a bonus, apparently they treat their staff pretty well and offer decent wages (unlike a lot of places), so you know your money is going to a decent employer.
At last after watching Danny’s channel for some year and a half, he is at a location I have been to, and this very one in Vegas. I was with friends on the strip when one of them suggested a decent burger joint popular in the States. It was cooked fresh to order and we sat in the restaurant to enjoy it. This looked equally good from Danny and I certainly remembered the place despite being 18 years ago. This is a decent burger joint far superior your Big M.
Funny Danny mentioned his reflection because I was thinking that Camera-man does such a good job at not showing up in the shots. Must be why he gets paid the big bucks 😉
No it doesn't. If you actually knew anything about meat and freezing you would know that that technically doesn't matter but it makes normal people who dont know how to cook think it's better quality
@@Jacob-ir6zi In a fast food setting, fresh beef is vastly superior. Proven fact. Of course there are ways to improve beef with freeze drying and other methods. But fast food is all about garbage in garbage out. Everyone should eat a Big Mac and a Quarter Pounder and judge for yourself.
