I love that this seems like a legitimate passion project and a serious attempt at building a restaurant brand, rather than some half-assed attempt at a youtuber tie-in business. And major kudos to him for actually working there and being hands-on as a restaurant owner.
@truetnt

I have no idea who he is, but the vibe I got as he showed his father the place, and worked WITHOUT the cameras rolling, was of an adult. That’s the feeling. This is a real dream enterprise for him. He seems to understand clearly how the world and prosperity work. He’s capitalizing on the name NOW. Before the group he’s part of implodes or evaporates. And the fact that he’s willing to put in the work and responsibility himself, although it shouldn’t be, is really respectable and admirable. Hell, given all the (recent?) activities that Amanda COULD have been doing a vid about, it’s sounds pretty endearing. 🖖

It may take a while but I’ve been to a lot of small restaurants who sell their sauces (especially bbq places) so it may be possible in the future especially since he has connections that may make it easier for him to start selling the sauce across the country
@lilithlaney1759
@lilithlaney1759 3 года назад
Not to defend this person, but there's things called refrigerated trucks. You can ship perishable products just fine across the country in the US. Though I doubt a youtuber would actually shell out the amount of money that costs.

@@alexisatuatara570 My entire dad's side of the family lives in Texas and I did too for quite a few years, I've been in san diego for over a decade now and finding bbq that's actually good here is pretty difficult. I found a place called Phil's that sells their sauce and it's SOOOO good. They only have a few locations but their sauce is stiill fairly well known around here. It's definitely possible to start selling your own sauce. Either by making it in house then paying to have it shipped or having it mass produced so it can be sold in stores more easily.
@leah3801
@leah3801 3 года назад
I'd think it would partly depend on what the sauce is made of but, I mean, Keith from Try Guys has a whole line of sauces he's made, and so does the Hot Ones team, so it's definitely doable for RU-vidrs

no this is incredible for him watching the series jeff did where he tried to get nick and a couple other guys to lose weight, it took a lot for nick to get committed but once he was, he was IN IT and it's been openly talked about (i mean kinda in a mocking way ik theyre friends but...still makes me feel some type of way) how bad is realtionship with food is. this could be such a good thing for him such a healthy outlet for his love and adoration for food. he gets to cook food he loves, while giving back to his family who he loves i feel like this is really the start of his life and its so heartwarming to see how invested he is in this.

It’s great to see influencers diversifying and putting their heart into something. Jeff’s post screams head injury to me. I’m not a doctor, but had a loved one with traumatic brain injury and filtering out feelings when they’re not appropriate is not their strong suit. I could be wrong and his injury has nothing to do with being petty while he’s try to be supportive, just speculating from experience.

Some people say it's a vlog squad joke between them, it's better not to speculate on people's health through internet.

Yeah, if it isn't a joke, I think that would be it. I know after my TBI I said and did some really bizarre things for months and still have episodes where I do.

I drive by it everyday and never knew what this restaurant was about. The sign always reminded me of Bobs Burger lol. 😂 The reviews on Google rave about this place even now, so he must be doing something right. Maybe doughbriks can learn something from them lol. 😂😂😂 Just realized this video is a year old, oh well, you get the point lol

So I’m curious as an Australian... Are kebab shops/restaurants not common in LA or the US? In Australia there is heaps, I can think of half a dozen kebab shops in my neighbourhood alone. Pre pandemic it was quite common to get a kebab as your late night drunk snack after a big night out (coz they often open at 2am, are tasty and easy to eat with one hand when you are wasted 😂). My fave thing though is a HSP or Halal Snack Pack which is the shaved meat from a kebab piled on top of a big serving of hot chips (fries) and smothered in various sauces of your choice.

We have lots in Los Angeles. I don't know what they're like in Australia, but having spent time in France very different (more Armenian than Turkish)
@lululoveskermit

@@efolinsky interesting! I’ll admit I’ve never tried a kebabs in another country when I have traveled, but I guess you could say in Australia most kebabs are probably Turkish or Lebanese style. Unless you go to a Greek place for Gyros which are basically the Greek equivalent to a Turkish kebab.

The Jeff thing I believe is a running joke, he keeps saying it on different peoples channels which he has appeared on but I’m not 100% sure where it came from, it seems like a joke when you watch him say it (scotty’s vlog 2 vlogs ago about him working out with Jeff)
