Hahaha so true. She has 51 ingredients to make coke, 12 to make toothpaste, and 32 to make cereal, but can't actually get a tube of Crest in her house to save her life 😂
given her schtick, surely she's saying she's out of it from the last time she made it. it would be off-brand for her to have bought name brand stuff in the first place.
Pepsi is caramel spiced citrus, Coke is spiced vanilla raisin. Here’s another one to blow your mind - the main flavor of root beer is often wintergreen!!
Wintergreen is the flavor of cough syrup in some parts of Europe. I had a german friend try root beer once and she hated it because it reminded her of childhood cough syrup 😅
Sassafras root (which is what makes root beer root beer) comes from the sassafras tree and has been banned by the FDA due to being determined to be carcinogenic. However, it also is used in making the drug MDMA, which seems to be why sassafras continues to be illegal.
@@mariapizzaa I ran my university’s volunteer conversation club for international students learning English and omg seemingly every one said they hated root beer bc it tasted like medicine!! I was like “your medicine must be delicious”
Actually, u can go to an old school pharmacy or Amazon and buy cola syrup. It helps with nausea and vomiting. It was $6 a few years ago. It doesn't need u to wait to go flat, like soda. And it's so much better for u than other chemicals.
15:10 technically yes… hot sugar can give you severe burns. Because it’s sticky, it’s not easy to wipe off skin and can take off skin! It’s always the first warning they give you in recipes when making caramel or candy
I think it was in the UK where a woman dumped a big pot of extremely hot sugar on her husband while he was asleep. What prompted this was one of her children admitting that he had SA’d not only them but their sibling/siblings. It didn’t kill him immediately but left what little days he had full of agony.
yup ! i got third degree burns on my hand from making caramel and cold water was the only thing that kept it from getting worse bc it very much did take my skin off it’s serious y’all 😅
@@tyrstyranny7060 i just looked it up... he was 81 and she was 59 >.> and her adult daughter told her she had been SAed, as had her brother, who'd unalived himself in his 20s. and then she got life in prison for it. 😑
if "fun game" equals "alcohol poisoning" xD I made a note of every time he said it... I got 7 times. Granted this was after he started making the stuff. I dunno if he said it prior to starting it.
i have been a Andrew Lowe binge for past two weeks after the ate like Nara Smith husband video came in my recos and was back upto 2 years ago. getting a new video is wow wow wow wow
must be seitan. it's a vegan meat alternative. definitely try it out if you're trying to meet protein intake requirement, it has an insane amount of protein packed
After you grind, then use something (such as a rolling pin smashed against the mixture, which in turn, has been enveloped by plastic wrap), so as to get the oils out. Thats the difference between grinding and mortar and pestle, the latter extracting the oils and creating a paste
Decided to play a game where I take a hit 🍃 every time he says ‘trust the process’ or something similar. I’m 13 minutes in and boooooooy it’s been a ride lol
Okay I’ve never been obsessed with anyone on the internet until you came along. you make me actually laugh the whole time I watch your videos. Excuse me but ‘you know when you catch a whiff of the meal off the plate but also the dish soap?’ CRYING 😭 Also-- you can try and get a regular single burner electric cooktop. The techwood electric stovetop is what they use in a lot of cooking vlogs.
I love these cooking videos and also your other videos... you are def my favourite youtuber haha you're the only youtuber that I've watched for a few years and haven't stopped watching 🎉 I hope you have a nice day, year, heck life even... you honestly brighten up my day everytime you post love u ❤
I'm gonna do like the kids do these days and say that the grainy, out of focus, dark footage of Andrew doing random things in the back of the kitchen is a "MOOD". 🥰
I love that Andrew saw two videos of people making coke, looked up the most approachable recipe version instead of either recipe he watched being made, yet expected a similar result to the videos he saw😂
this tik tok trend with making everything from scratch is over the top but I think this is actually very good for Americans to spread awareness how the food is made :D! makes mu chuckle as a European citizen to see how shocked people are reacting to the trend sometimes
Ahaha I figured it would taste like an interesting soda, but not necessarily Coca Cola. I'm glad you tried this cause I'm way too lazy to go through all of that trouble trying 😂
You're always so fun to watch! If you're ever interested to try again, there is a plant called Artemisia abrotanum(also southernwood or Lad's love). When you make a syrup out of it, it actually tastes quite similar to coke! In German we just call it "Cola-Kraut" 😅
My late grandmother did always used to say coca cola was cocroach piss 😂 I was like, " How'd you know that, grandma?! Is that what you guys did during ww2? 😅😅😅
Hey Andrew, I stumbled on one of your older videos where you mentioned being from St. Louis??? Have u been to Festival of Nations? You should come this year it's this month or NEXT year, it'd be so cool to get your perspective on some of the foods!
I used to be an oil ho for an MLM, and I got really good at mimicking scents/flavors of other things with oils. I concocted a verrrrry close coke scent!
fun fact the coke receipe isnt trademarked as that usually applies to logos symbols and phrases/slogans. and it isnt even patented bc patents expire and the recipe would be public! it is a trade secret where everything is kept secret through NDA's and just being a responsinble coke employee
I literally just started working in the lab at a factory that makes corn products and we sell the corn syrups and etc to coke and pepsi so im so intrigued by this!
