I would love it so much if anyone would just randomly invite me in any of these situations. I’m way to introverted to do that myself but this must be so damn cool!
Yeah that'd be nice, sucks to be the one introvert out of all of those introverts you actually have as friends and you're planning all this stuff. But don't we all? xD
When making friends in a bathroom, at least start the conversation at the sink, when they're feeling less vulnerable. At least, that's when I would respond well to it.
What i mean is that it was probably done that way to make it funny to the audience. Doing it that way is a better idea but youtubers often choose the funnier way to attract more audience. I agree with you if you mean if it were not done for viewers.@@JohnkyTonkbadonkadonk
Small steps, be willing and learn to forgive yourself if anything doesn’t go as planned or as you hoped, be patient, keep going, push yourself as much as you’re able but not too much that you metaphorically can’t stand up straight socially or get too wobbly unstable anxiety wise. Small steps but large enough to make as much progress as possible.
This was awesome. Martina seems like a cool genuine woman who fit in right away with the group. Not gonna lie, the bathroom challenge was both super cringe and really funny at the same time.

I feel like this would have been way easier to do (maybe not the bathroom one) 15 years ago, maybe even 10 years ago, but the world is so different now. Everyone is so wrapped up online, it seems next to impossible to meet people this way now. For good and bad though, because now we're more careful around people we don't know it protects us from being hurt by strangers. Cheers to the one girl who did show up though!
Yep, the world changed so fast with the rise of social media and smartphones…. Not for the better either. You often have to find your way into someone’s social media circle for them to talk to you as friends. Not every stranger is dangerous or out to get you though. Back in the day neighbors used to knock on your door if you were new to the neighborhood
i wouldn‘t agree with that. on one hand, people people 100 years ago also said this due to all of those young people which had their eyes sunken into their newspapers. on the other hand, it has never been that easy to stand out by just having conversations with people, even with mediocre social skills, as nobody else does it. there are many people out there that are just waiting to be approached by somebody to randomly hang out with.
@@charliedallachie3539i have so many neighbors and I’ve never said one word to them ig the system in the USA dosent allow people to be open and friendly they condition you to work after high school it’s basically wraps look around and everybody is literally working it’s nuts like the only way there social is parties and bars meanwhile in other countries everybody is eating from the same plate on the floor with a campfire
I love how she said that she's an extroverted person so she just pretty much always agrees to invites. It was very straight forward, she doesn't overthink things. I'm going to try to apply more of this mindset this year when trying new things.
@@tober7141 Yeah I think I have. I've tried a cycling class with an army major type fitness instructor, an experimental dance class and done some volunteering since I wrote this. I remind myself that if I don't like something I don't have to go back which helps me try new things. I've also got into a random new hobby that I didn't expect to enjoy. I've not exactly made new friends yet but a few acquaintances and I've been at least getting out there a bit more. If I met new people and they invited me to things I'd say yes, I'd particularly enjoy going to some BBQs as I miss those.
It's okay to fail sometimes. It shows that you guys videos are not always scripted and unique. Man I love this kind of interaction between humans. Keep doing great things guys!
It’s not a fail. It’s a success because they had the balls to go out and meet people. They can’t control the people who gave a fake number or flaked. It’s a fail on the people who didn’t show up and missed out on free food, games and a good time.

Just a tip for anyone watching this trying to meet a stranger similar to this, you can always give someone a genuine compliment and then ask them about what you just complimented them on.
My biggest takeaway from this video is just appreciating how all these young, good-looking guys who are comfortable putting stuff on RU-vid seem to be just as shy as your average person when it comes to approaching strangers. People are people, and somehow I find this reassuring. Thank you guys for sharing this experience.
Strangers are reluctant to get together with people they don't know in a place they are unfamiliar with. They will say "yes" to your request with no intentions of showing up to get an excuse to get strangers to leave them alone. Having a "no show and no reply" was expected.
This is so fucking wholesome. We need content like this tbh. Ppl are so scared of making friends (me included), and it is so encouraging to see someone else just aproach a random person and striking up a convo like this. Thank you
The lack of trust amongst our species is so crazy. Humans are social creatures. Having a sense of community is extremely important for our well being. We need to work on it, but it is easier said than done. Proud of you guys for getting out of your comfort zones!
It’s because social media has become so dominant that it’s actually made us less interactive with people outside the internet which is ironic because it should do the opposite. It’s actually isolated us like we are all in our own bubble/box glued to our screens. The internet has also I believe affected our trust in other people. Opinions, different perspectives clashing It’s become excessive. Too much. It’s hard to describe, it’s like we’ve become more comfortable interacting with others through the internet anonymously more than in person, except with those we trust, ;really know. It’s bizarre.
Maybe this humans are social creatures thing is bullshit after all and this video only proves? People have much more interesting thing to do than going on BBQ with strangers
I actually like talking to strangers and still is challenging. Dude this is one the best things I ever saw. I love you guys, congrats for being courageous.
I once went to a festival on my own. I was in a bad place because the son of a friend had died the day before and I had a terrible backpain. I was miserable but then I started talking to my tend neighbours and spend the weekend with them. Then we spend a lot of hours in my car because it was raining and storming, listening to music smoking and talking. After that we went to 3 other festivals (every year one) afterwards. They saved me because I could talk to them and they would listen - I am so grateful they had my back at this moment and I miss them.
@@rushabhjain8598 we haven't seen each other in almost 2 years now because i moved to another continent. i will hopefully see them next summer when i go back for vacations.
I wish society was a bit more accepting and validating towards introverts. They belong as part of society as much as anyone else AND they belong exactly as they are. ❤
This is so wholesome. I'm a big introvert myself and I think I'm not interesting enough to be invitted to something like this, but if someone would invite me I'd definitely come.
being a generic loner doesnt mean you are an introvert, if you are too awkward around people to meet any, you can still be an extrovert, introverts are people who lose energy when talking to people, and extroverts are people who gain it by talking to people, as a loner myself, going out with the lads more often made my life better even tho ive always seen myself as an introvert
@@rpggames7314Did you know there's a middle ground? I'm an ambivert. I can be outgoing when I want to, but also can stay in my house just playing video games and doing my own thing without needing someone to talk to. I don't really notice my energy levels whether I talk to people or not, it always just feels the same. I never get tired of social interaction, but I can also go without it.
"Not interesting enough to be invited" I SERIOUSLY doubt that! Look, we are our own worst judge, so a lot of us, myself included, struggle to think of something to talk about when it comes to our own lives. I've said that I'm not that interesting plenty of times before, but when someone asks what I've been up to, how my life is, what I do for work, where I have been for a holiday/plan to go to, etc, suddenly I have a more interesting life than I realise, and this is coming from someone who is NOT very social at all. I think we all have interesting lives, and we don't give ourselves enough credit. We are shaped by our upbringing, our culture, our surroundings, and all of that is very interesting and unique to us. So, Raffy, let me ask you... What's your dream job? Favourite food? Got any pets? Tell me a bit of a story! Actually, this applies to everyone!
Sounds like you have social anxiety then, not introversion, especially since you also said you're not interesting enough to be invited, which sounds pretty insecure. Us actual introverts turn down hanging out with our best friends half the time or more, so if we can't be bothered to hang with our best friends sometimes, we definitely aren't going to waste our limited energy making small talk with random strangers.
You guys are awesome. I recently found this channel and it is some really great, entertaining, and well-made content. Thank you for putting yourself out there I can’t imagine how anxiety inducing this would be. I also really admire that the way you guys talk & interact with the strangers and even within your team seems very respectful and considerate. Whereas, I’ve noticed a pattern in other channels similar to yours lack that aspect of remembering that the strangers they’re interacting with are human beings with lives and priorities. I really respect that, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s very evident the amount of work (and courage lol) that you all put into this content. Thanks for doing what you do and putting out great and original content. I’m confident this channel (the subscriber count) will continue to grow, so keep it up!

this video made me stand up and take a walk. this is my first ever comment, and my first time trying Super Thanks lol. i cant believe i randomly clicked on this video. recently i've been dreaming of doing something like this or even starting a channel for it one day. if anything, i feel like i just made a couple new friends. over a screen. in under 15 minutes. love what your doing here; continue inspiring.
same this was a cool video and i've also wanted to do something like this too i think it's cool to break the social norms of what's "acceptable" and find success
Its crazy how this things are the biggest fear and the biggest thing i want to conquer and watching you guys do it really makes me feel happy even tho i think i cant do it
Every single time I'm out in public, I love try to approach as many people as possible. I can have conversations for 10-20 minutes on average, but sometimes 30 min to an hour or more. The longest random conversation I had was about 3 hours at the post office. When people are pumping gas, that's typically a captive audiance for 5-10 minutes.
Keep doing what you're doing!! Connecting the world and making it a better place, instead of trying to grow the stereotype that the world is such a bad place.
Great vid, one of my favorites! Even though most didnt show up, you got spend time with your buds, have a laugh and still meet someone new. Thats what it's all about.
You push past it, that's the whole point. Like was said in the video, we're all gonna die someday, really soon in the grand scheme of things. Would you rather be on your deathbed looking back at regrets and loneliness or sweetly reminiscing about all the good times and shenanigans you had with your friends? Nearly everybody has that fear you gotta go for it anyways. If you're looking for some easy workaround there really isn't one, you just gotta take the leap.
@@disturbeddemons1 bruh it's better to not get unnecessary rejections for some stupid stranger meetups🤣 it's better to chill with your own friends and fun and party.. You will not regret even this way.
Please do this one again! This was awesome. I honestly have no idea how hard this would be, but I think the key to this is being persistent and prepared. Having the best elevator pitch. Also I think if each one of yall wanted one to come you should have 5 each agree to come. Did yall let them know about the challenge?
Letting them know about the challenge makes it kind of not real because if a stranger asked them to come to a barbecue with them for a challenge at least 70% of people would go just to be featured in a youtube video instead of genuinely wanting to be there and befriend them.
@@lena6827 Since the whole purpose of the video is to make friends, I think it makes sense cos even the absurdity of it would make people want to try it, they weren't getting any luck by just lunging into it until they started telling people what the idea was. Also, I don't think anyone would be comfortable enough to just attend a hangout with a bunch of random dudes, unfortunately this is the situation of the world now.
I think when they switched to explaining their motive, that tended to work well in getting that initial contact/convo going. really cool because ultimately everyone just wants to connect
this was actually pretty awesome! I almost think everyone should try to do something like this or simply try to make interactions with strangers whenever. Not so much as have a party you want them to go to, just trying to interact with people instead of tucking tail. Say hi to that person in line at the grocery store, Acknowledge the cool shirt that you see walking down the street, or even mention how slow the damned elevator is. You never know where your next friend is coming from. A friend of mine met his wife at a target in the hair care isle. He simply asked her what she thought of a can of hair spray.
I am really glad you posted this. I sometimes get the feeling that people record but don't post "fails" of these kinds of things, but this was so good to see what is a real possibility of taking a step out of our comfort zones. And one person is way better than none!
Man, I just stumbled across your channel and this content is so special. The storytelling is on point, it is so entertaining and real, and some of these challenges are so unique!! Absolutely thrilled to find you guys! Keep up the content!
I watched a few seconds of you guys then I loved it! Once I saw your buddy with the Antones Austin Texas hat you definitely gained a subscriber! Seem like great people
I would be so anxious, most of them were able to make the process somewhat okay by literally explaining that it is some sort of dare or social experiment lol. Talking to someone in the bathroom is like a nightmare!
As an introvert and someone with social anxiety, watching you guys have so little success makes me think I'll never have a chance. If outgoing people can't make friends, how the heck can I? Lol
I’m a bartender at an axe throwing joint, I talk to people all the time, people are so nice, u have no idea how often I get invited to go drinking after my shift, another group bought me dinner, and I even got invited to a wedding from a bachelor party that came in… people are great 😅
I love this channel I've only recently discovered it. I'm 19 no friends never had any never learned to socialize and constantly stutter when I get nervous and try to talk to people but watching y'all honestly gives me hope that even I can make a friend y'all make it look so easy and the reality is it probably is that easy love y'all
It just takes practice. Start by saying hi to the barista in your local coffee shop and asking how their day was. Then you can start saying hi to other people. If you treat it like a game (how many his can I get in a day) it’s more fun. The person who doesn’t say hi back isn’t someone you want to be friends with necessarily, anyway. There’s someone for everyone in this crazy world.
If it makes you feel any better I’m 30 and I used to have a small group of friends, but we drifted apart then people wanted to be my friend in high school but I was too shy or awkward to talk to them or hang out. One of the worst things in this world is Regret, looking back at all the opportunities you missed out on because of FEAR or worrying about what they might say or think etc. time is short, JUST GO FOR IT, tell yourself I might make a clown of myself but at least I tried, what’s the worst that could happen, you’ll never know if it will work out or not until you TRY. True Friends are a precious thing, hold on to them.
thats awesome that the girl showed up. Im not sure what id do in that situation either. its so hard to break out of your shell and make friends as adults for sure.
I’ve just found this channel, I never normally comment but please keep going with this channel, it’s so wholesome and raw and just what this world needs!
Absolutely insane challenges! All of them relatively difficult to pull off & perform. It seemed the bathroom & escalator were the most daunting tasks. I'm glad that all of you learned a valuable lesson in all of this. Good, Healthy & Positive vibes coming from the 5 of you in relation to your friendships. Hope you guys added a potential "6th" friend from that girl who showed up at the end of the vid. Hopefully she vibes with your guys personalities & the chemistry is all there for all of you. If not, it is what it is & that's a part of life. Some friendships are meant for temporary & others are meant for long term. You win some, you lose some. Lots of people complain about how difficult the dating scene is finding a girlfriend, a boyfriend, wife, husband or "the right one" but rarely do people address the importance & difficulty of just finding "a friend" in general. A girlfriend or boyfriend is hard enough as it is but even just finding or making a new friend is difficult as it is. I admire your guys willingness, eagerness, spontaneity & sense of adventure in completing these tasks. Bravo 👏 & Respect! 😎
Way to keep it real. The video was so funny. Even though you didn't all succeed you showed a real side of the difficulty of connecting with strangers and making friends
I love this! When I was solo travelling for the first time in Amsterdam I was planning on going to a pub crawl but in the end I was too anxious to join the group so I just sat at the statue where we were supposed to meet, questioning my life decisions. Then a group of students came up to me and asked whether I want to join them for dinner. They were randomly asking strangers to join them and I was the only one who said yes haha. It was great, we had a fun night, the food was awesome and I think it was the time I lost my fear of talking in English. We met again two days later in Brussels, had a night out and they invited me to join them for lunch. I'd love it if these kind of things were more normal! Thanks again guys haha
