i think your filter eyebrows do look better, they frame your face, but you’re just not used to it and probably prefer the smaller eyebrows. The same thing happened to me when i went from 90’s pencil eyebrows to my actual fullness, grown out eyebrows
I agree with you paras. Maybe a tad to dark but Carrie it did seem to make your eyes really stand out ( maybe larger…. Almond shape) . It was very pretty. They do look good how they are currently too.
Totally agree! On the comparison honestly the new brows made her look a lot more youthful!! And same thing happened to me with eyebrow blindness, I had been over-plucking and over-filling for years not realizing how crazy it looked. It was the 2016 bold eyebrows, I tried it out expecting it to look stupid and realized it looked so much better 😂
I agree too--when Carrie had the one done and not the other yet I was like---the new one obviously does look better....that's not to say your brows look bad now but it did open your eye more
To add to this, I think it’s how “bold” your brows look (whether that be application or color) - I think if you kept trying, you’d find a way to apply this shape where it felt more natural. ✨ BUT girlie, you gotta do YOU & what makes you feel good 💙💙💙
For the brow mapping filter, make sure you are looking at it head on when you do the dots! When you turn your head it moves them farther over. But I get what you mean feeling silly with darker and longer brows. Definitely something to mess with but I thought they looked good!
I think the size/shape of the new brows was a good start and looked really good! I think it’s one of those things where maybe at the end of the night “makeup playtime” if you will, you practice with the shape, technique, + tools.. like I think the color and angles were just a little too bold.. maybe brow shadow? Or was that a felt tip pen? I feel like a regular brow pencil would be less harsh?
Girl this was hilarious!! You have such a great sense of humour I feel like people don't appreciate it enough!!!! I do lowkey think the brows looked great though it just would be about getting the tails straight and not doing that swoop too much, I noticed I do them on myself sooo much and now I can't unsee it!! Still cute with swoops too but I feel like you'd like them more without if you want them to look like all the girlies do them with the filter!
i like the filter brows, but i agree, maybe go for a lighter color. also, maybe add a bit more on top of the front part of your brow before the arch so the arch doesn't swoop up so much. idk if that explanation even makes sense lol. i loved your brows before too though, on myself i prefer more minimal brows even if it isn't the "correct" way.
I like both your natural brows and what the filter says. I feel like maybe it’s just a vibe thing- if glam, do what the filter says. If chill day, natural brows
Wait I love bread and butter pickles, maybe this drink idea is for me 😋 the brows looked good but I also understand changing your usual perception of urself can be discombobulating lol
glad someone else recognized this! i’m in NC too and a friend from Gold Hill swears it’s the best thing ever - I, however, was not raised on it so I despise it. It’s gross!
Pickle Pepsi is one of my favorite drinks! When I worked at a Dairy Queen one of the perks was unlimited fountain drinks, so basically soda, water, and a lemonade, and I'd make Pickle Pepsi. The kitchen would save the pickle juice for me to add ❤ I had everyone there drinking it. The DQ only offered Pepsi products so I've never had Pickle Coke.
Pickles and coke - uh...No! However...dill pickle juice (alone) is awesome for relieving leg cramps! I get heavy-duty leg cramps occasionally at night when I lie down. One quick swig of dill pickle juice, and I'm cramp free for the rest of the night. I think I swig about a tablespoon. I learned this trick from a friend who coached women's soccer teams. I suppose you could also eat a dill pickle, but I can only attest to the effect of the juice alone.
Love these videos! For the brows, if you re-try, I would try connecting the arch dot to the tail dot, along the top of your brows, to give a more natural shape! (Instead of connecting your natural tail straight to the tail dot, which added an extra angle that does not look natural)
I think it was the tails of the brows! If you had done them longer following your natural brow shape it would’ve looked a lot better. The filter would move when you turned your head-I think that’s where the mess up happened! Also with the curling it seemed like she didn’t twist very tightly.
I think the problem with the brow filter is that you made them a bit too angular. I have a very strong pointy arch and I tweeze so that I still have the same shape but more rounded arches. I think it will look much softer and you’ll like it a lot more if you do that!!
I actually love that none of the tiktok trends were a fail, I still loved watching you try them. I'm actually more interested in where you got the charm necklace from.
I think the bolder brows were good!! Maybe switching the technique/products a bit could make you like the new shape more. Maybe trying them in a cooler undertone too? Love these video, they're so fun!
I think the brows look nice! But the way you normally do them is super cute, too. Unpopular opinion maybe, but I don’t think everyone needs to have the exact same brows 😅 Like, we all have different faces… seems like varying brows would suit different faces 🥰
Upon triple examining it the length of the brow really helps!! I also think the filter cuts off the down flick on each side so the peak wouldnt look as dominate if you plucked the bottom tip and drew the rest out to the end dot from the peak dot if that makes sense!
I think you should try the first curl method again, but with 2nd day hair/air dried/not straightened. You’d get more of that messy lived in look like the TikTok you were following
I was taught to use a pencil or makeup brush as a guide and basically do the same thing that filter does. It’s pretty likely to help. But…. Some people’s faces or brows just fall outside the standard.
okay so the pickle coke is definitely inspired by the Witch Doctor from whataburger in NC (not texas!) which is all the sodas - Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Sierra Mist, Sun Drop, cherry flavor, Cheerwine, lemon, plus pickle juice and pickle slices. in my opinion it is RANCID. anyways, i haven’t watched the video yet so maybe you talk about this, but wanted to share preemptively so I didn’t forget 😂
First off, you are beautiful and you should do what you think looks best. I do like the filtered brows. It frames your face and makes your brows a feature on your face versus kinda just disappearing.
The thing about the TT vids on the brow filter…. all the comments say it looks so much better, while the person doing it is in denial and later accepts that they had eyebrow blindness 😅 I think both look great, but it might be worth trying the filter version for a few weeks!
So I have really dark thick eyebrows and I style them to frame my eyes. Not super thick, not super thin. I don’t like the idea that one frame fits all. That said, I don’t think the brows looked bad, but I do think maybe a lighter shade and rounding the arch a little from the center to make it look more natural.
i love your eyebrows all the ways and whatever you feel most beautiful with ... but I do like the new way you did them a lot!! like a lot a lot!!! It shapes your face really nice
i think you’re taking the tail down too far! the filter is more straight/foxy kind of brow so maybe try just continuing your natural brow less dramatically at the tail or fill under the brow arch a bit so it doesn’t looked so curved/angled
I think the brows look good, but I don’t think the arch needed to be higher up. I think the fact that the beginning of your brows didn’t go in a straight line into the arch also could have affected the look.
I cannot tell you how ashamed I am of us when I think about how much sh*t we gave our poor high school French teacher for drawing in her eyebrows. 🙈 Je suis désolé Madame Mudrak! 😭
