Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a great week so far. Just want to say a big hello to all my new Nepali friends who have joined the journey! Big thanks to you all for the support, I hope you will enjoy the upcoming videos in Nepal as I still have many to upload! Hoping to have at least 4 up this week to make up for the single upload last week 😅 It was my birthday on Saturday so I got a bit sidetracked. I know there are more Newari foods to try (I have some more coming in tomorrow's upload). Look forward to reading your wonderful comments. Much Love ❤
Thank you so much 🥰 Josh and friends for visiting our restaurant Newari Wo Cheen and also thanks for the vlog you made here. This will really promte our business. Hope to see you guys soon in Nepal at bangemudha😊.
Just in case you were still about the name of the restaurant where you had Chatamari, Sapu Mhicha & Aila ( the Newari liquor/rakshi), it's Na Ghala Chatamari Pasal. The signage is seen hanging on the wall while you are exiting the place at 28:24 in the video
anything with aloo is amazing to me.. the carrot pancakes ill eat that with whipped cream heheh.. im a carrot cake person so thats good for me.. the instestine scene , not sure but thats a strange looking bone marrow, i had bone marrows in Las Vegas at the Bacchanal Buffet.. that i like, ill stick to chicken feet and pigs ears hehe.. but its just me lol.. you guys are so cool where ever you go :).. Happy Belated birthday 🎂
I agree, can’t beat a good potato Cindy! Yeah it was the strangest bone marrow I’ve ever seen but it tasted a lot better than it looked haha. I’d much prefer it to chicken feet 😓 can’t do them.. haha. Thank so much for the happy birthday ❤️
Newa cuisines are adventure food even for average Nepali, but once you get used to it - you'll start digging it. It's more of a drinking food, I love it.
They call it the newari pizza just cause of the shape and how it's eaten in slices. People have been using words that the westerners are familiar with for their convenience since a long time ago.
In this video you tried few Newari food's like chatamari, syapumicha and the lakhmari which you called a sweet donuts it's also come from Newar community which you try that's the smaller ones but there are big lakhmari also which are use for festival and wedding ceremony of Newar community lakh mean's million and mari mean's roti it mean's there's a million's of design or shape in big lakhmari that's why it's called lakhmari enjoy your day's in Nepal
@@TheJourneyofJosh but you must be careful almost all of Newari food's are lots of spicy and we like to eat spicy food in Newar community when they kill or sacrifice a buffalo we will make lot's of different varieties of buffalo meat items I think there are more than 12 varieties of buffalo meat
Not quite sure what he’s doing haha, go check his community posts.. think he might have said there. He is fine though, you can see his stories on Instagram ☺️ Thank you!
That’s unfortunately the same for most people in their own country in this current climate. Many people are struggling to afford to live in England as well, granted it’s nothing compared to Nepal of course. I always try to tip when I can within my budget 😊
Hello friend, thank you for visiting Nepal. That girl refusing to take money is so friendly nature. Denotes hospitality of Nepal. If you permit, we would like to use that clip to promote the hospitality nature of Nepal. Can it be done? THank you in advance. Looking forward to you reply.
Hey josh please please visit east part of nepal as well i promise that you will be enjoy if you need any support please let me know i will provide you anything you needed 🙏
@@TheJourneyofJosh you’re most welcome 🙏 🙏🙏 hope you enjoyed alot 🥰🥰🥰 . And thanks for visiting Nepal 🥰🥰🥰. And one thing I love how you talk you give a little bit of vibe of jungkook maybe you know him too 😅😅😅😅
They are not from India. They are Nepali and we Nepali celebrate it because we are hindu. Jay Shree Krishna 🚩🚩🇳🇵. In Nepal more than 75% people are Hindu. Have fun ❤️
Please try to visit with who knows better and best foods in Kathmandu, I don't want to say he is bad but his first recommended food is paratha 😂 you are in Nepal not a india
Yeah paratha may not exactly be the most authentic recommendation but they were delicious and the staff were lovely. This channel first and foremost is about entertainment and interacting with locals which is what we got. He took us to multiple other Nepali places that I cut out because they were closed or had run out of what we wanted to eat. However everything else after the paratha in the video is Nepali. There will be more in upcoming videos.
This is not local food. You guys are eating Indian food. You should visit Newari restaurent for Indigenous Kathmandu Valley food. Your guide is totally WRONG.
@@TheJourneyofJosh yeah, sorry but you have been Newar restaurent also. I was too early to put a comment. NEWAR food id little strange but unique. Visit Sasa Twa Newar restaurent in Kirtipur. Good food with old Newar houses.
He wasn’t a guide, he was literally a friendly local who wanted to take us to some spots. This isn’t supposed to be an educational food channel, it’s about entertainment and interacting with locals. He may not have shown us the best local food but we still had a great time and made a fun video. If it was the same video but without him there would you still have stopped watching? 😂
Jeez.... I see everyone making the same stuff day in day out. I would like to see vloggers making something different rather than only food videos. Nepal is so much more than food only. As embarrassing is it to watch 2 vloggers in the same frame vlogging about the same stuff talking over each other, I do also find it very disrespectful to barge into a restaurant during busy hours and shoot questions over their faces while they are trying to work. Yeah you can do it but do remember the fact that ppl here in US, UK and around the world find it disrespectful to shoot inside the kitchen when its cramped up. I have always enjoyed watching anyone's video about Nepal and I will always continue watching and liking it but please be respectful of our culture and ppl. Just because Nepalese ppl are probably the kindest and warmest ppl doesn't mean that they do not deserve any respect. keep a distance in privacy and do what your heart tell you to do. Cheers.
I have plenty of non food related videos coming up, in fact the next 20 videos are not food related. We also didn't barge in, we went up to order and they invited us to come take a look. Well done for being needlessly negative about something you have no idea about as you weren't there. I have done videos inside the kitchen in multiple countries after either being invited or asking politely and no one has ever had a problem with it. I am always respectful anywhere I go and am pretty good at telling if someone isn't happy with what I am doing. I think it's pretty clear from the video that they we're perfectly fine with us. If you wish to enjoy my videos then please go ahead but if you are going to just be negative then please go elsewhere because I don't need that on this channel. Cheers.
