I'm surprised they tried branching out into watercolors! Their forte is 100% their markers and I get they want to branch out, but I've used student grade watercolors for years (before buying nicer ones) and even the second cheapest seemed to act a bit better than those. Still, I love seeing professionals using "cheap" supplies because it really shows that art can be made with anything. I know what you could have done with professional watercolors would have been a trillion times better, but you still got something pretty out of it!
Oh I like the sketchbook size & number of pages, I too love 💕 the fine liners & the alcohol markers. I agree that the watercolors look really bad almost gloopy (thick, chalky) with an added amount of binder or something. Your portrait painting looks beautiful despite the watercolors. Thanks for sharing this wonderful information with us. Enjoy a wonderful week Cecile!
I also love the fine liners and alcohol markers. The watercolors do seem like they need a lot of improvements to the binders and dyes lol 😂. I use more gouache and Japanese style watercolors for the opaque/ transparent looks they offer. Your portraits still look great but you could probably make beautiful pieces with any price range products 🤩✨. Love this channel 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thank you for your video! I just received the pastel set as well. Also have a couple other sets (120 and landscape). Love them! Still love your art even if you don’t. Merci Cécile from 🇨🇦
Personally, I really enjoy my Ohuhu alcohol matkers. I own a set of Copics that I enjoy too,But Ohuhu is more affordable for me, so I don't stress out when using them. And now Ohuhu has refills for their alcohol markers and nib replacements. So Im one happy crafter lol
If I may, that's what happened with Fuumuui. They wanted me to a script my review of their paper and brushes. In all fairness, I did love the brushes, but the paper was/is horrible. They were insistent on me showcasing the product in a positive manner, and I couldn't lie to my very small community. So I broke ties with them. It left me with a very bad taste in regard to these collaborations. Not too sure how to proceed from here on out, but I thought I'd share my experience with you!
