many are still using their stock tm router from way back. one that was already outdated when they were out rofl tp link should have some kind of trade in program, together with setup service. promote the newest type of wifi and its benefits. i tell you when that kind of customers know your brand, their next upgrade will be yours too.
Get one of these kind of router from TPlink itself , but never from the ISP, i had one from them , and it’s a deep customized which named as EB810V, looks like a brother of BE800 model that you can purchase from the local market. ISP made so many unwanted changes such as no panel for managing remotely , as nowadays everyone suggest disabling this feature when you WFH most of the time. Last but not least, using ISP router does not guarantee the regular firmware updates, and it is easily to be hacked remotely.
I have the TP-LInk EAP225, 2 of the Indoor (1 upstairs and 1 Downstairs) and one of the outdoor (Garage). They are all Meshed together, get anywhere from 400 to 700 Mbps up and down on wifi. From my AT&T 1000 Fiber connection. For ref, my Desktop wired normally 980 Mbps speed testing.
Just a question, I have this smart home system which requires the 2.4Ghz setting. Is MLO optional or it’s by default? I wish to connect my smart systems to the 2.4Ghz and the rest for my electronics
How many years of firmware update does TP-Link provide to their routers typically? Asus provides updates even after their router warranty is over 3 years
What phone r u using? Is it supporting wifi 7 natively?? Cause in your test the wifi logo still presents wifi 6 indicator at the right top of your phone.......
No point lol As most people only use 300mbps - 1gbps plan... Wifi 5 or 6 is more than enough till Malaysia internet get higher speed at more affordable prices
Hello Edwin! Happy CNY! This is really not for everyone hahaha. It’s for a specific set of people who really need high speed across a magnitude of devices, especially home offices, large file streaming, etc. (pointing at myself 🤣)
my fiber has measured downstream bw of 800Mbs (on a line sold me as 1Gbps), i have 2 phones pulling max 6Mbps hd video from time to time, so, i recon 99% of the time i shouldn't saturate 54Mbps available in wifi 3. well, my stb has wifi 5, with bw of 6Gbps, downloading pdf on wifi 7 would take the same time anyway. well, tell me, why should i invest in getting a new $800 phone with wifi7 support and extra $400 for wifi 7 router ? if you want make useful stuff, stop selling me your useless gadgets, make vids telling me how to optimise my existing wifi network.
He doesnt know what he is talking about... You buy a wifi 7/6E router to get more than 1gbps wifi speeds. You can get close to 1gbps wifi speed with a 1gbps internet, using a good wifi 6 router or wap... Hes testing wifi using ookla... You should be testing locally using something like iperf or open speed test server on your local network. With ookla you are measuring ookla's server speeds or ever changing processing latencies on the internet... Hes basically a salesman, talking out of his ass
