what pisses me off about casetify is that they only do cases for iphones and the newest (ie. most expensive) galaxys.... what about the rest of us?! i would actually buy a casetify case, IF they made them for either of my phones but apparently they don't want my money. it's such a limited selection and to only cater to the most expensive phones feels very exclusionary 🤷♀️
Casetify really upset me. See so many sponsors for influencers but they really screwed me over during an already shitty time :( waited weeks for just a dispatch email so I contacted them to ask where my order was, they tell me that the case I ordered and customised isn’t even in stock and shouldn’t have been on the website but they didn’t contact me AT ALL to let me know of this error, I would never have been told if I hadn’t emailed them myself and they would have just pocketed my money :( Barely any help when they got back to me - just told me to cancel or pick another case which I’d have to wait even longer for :( Decided I don’t trust them now so I’ll never use them again :(
Had to laugh with the pony tail extension. Years ago when I did Cheerleading we had to wear pony tail extensions for competitions, & by the end of the competition my head hurt SO much!!! It needed a whole packet of massive hair pins to make sure it didn’t come off during the routine. Much as they look cool, you couldn’t pay me enough to make me ever wear one again!!
I am so tired of the Casetify ads because who has £50 to spend on a phone case?! Loved the video though Soph, I have no idea how you are meant to leave the house wearing those ponytails 😂
iphones cost like 1.2k £50 is nothing especially for the quality i paid about £40 for a clear apple one and it wasn’t even that good definitely would try a £50 casetify case
Would have preferred to see the castify non sponsered like all the other content. I feel like adding sponsored content to a video about unsponsored products can be a little confusing.
I agree!! Testing overly sponsored products with a sponsor just rubbed me the wrong way and now I feel like it wasn’t a genuine test or reaction to the product
To Soph and anyone else watching wanting to whiten their teeth - please please only do it if your teeth are very very yellow and do it AT THE DENTIST. The ingredients in over-the-counter whitening products are so abrasive and bad for your teeth and if they work it’s only temporary, while the damage to your enamel is forever. Literally all dentists agree on this and I’ve seen soo many cautionary tales about this stuff. Even whitening at the dentist is not recommended to everyone as it still is very bad for enamel. So please even if you do it DON’T do it as often as Soph has, the long term effects are horrible
I wrongly assumed whitening at the dentist would be risk free. £295 spent. First night was fine, I saw a small difference. Night two after 45 minutes I was getting excruciating pain in my bottom teeth. I took a break for a few days and tried again. The pain returned. Told the dentist who moved me from 16% down to 10%. I haven’t had the guts to try it for longer than 3 hours (meant to wear it over night), and I haven’t had the guts to do my bottom teeth again. I’ve tried over night but can’t sleep as I’m actually terrified of that pain again! I’m whitening once a week for 3 hours only, it’s working slowly but not getting the wow impact that I think I would get if I could do it over night for 2 weeks in a row.
@@ginkel23 I got my teeth 'whitened' at two different dentist's offices about a two years ago and then about six months ago.... Neither of them worked, only left me with pain and even more sensitive teeth. I've been put off any kind of teeth whitening since
@@ginkel23 I’m so sorry that’s happening to you! I wish dentists would be more upfront about the risks and negative effects of whitening. Everyone I know who had it done has a similar story to yours. And thank you for sharing, I really hope it makes people think twice about getting it
Pro tip: laminate your hello fresh cards. Not only does it make them last longer, it keeps them clean when used in the kitchen! You could also take a photo, but I prefer watching videos on phone when cooking instead of looking at a recipe ☺️
When I’ve seen people use ponytails like that, they’ve wrapped their natural hair in a bun as tight as they can. It reinforces the clip, and you don’t have to worry about your hair showing. I’ve never tried it, but I hope that helps!
Don't flip your head over!!! Slide the clip in, make a C shape with your left hand to support the exstention around the pony tail then with your right hand start wrapping, once your right hand meets the left drop your left hand and just keep wrapping, when you have a bout 2 inches of the wrap part left pull it so it makes it tighter around your natural ponytail, hold it in place with your left hand again then clip with the Bobby pins starting where the end of the wrap is to make it secure (nape of the neck normally) then work the bobby pins in and around like the hands of a clock !! If the clip is digging in your head start again, the clip is supposed to be sandwiched between your scalp and the bobble, the more you use the exstention the more maluble the velcro become makes it 10 x easier to wrap then. I can wear mine for 12 hours plus on shift you get used to the weight and you don't notice after 20 mins ,good luck !!!! Xx
Can say that this works! I’ve got some INH extensions and when I wear them I put my hair in a bun and tuck the teeth of the little comb up into the bun between the hair and the tie. It makes it much more comfortable, but I have thin hair and it can be quite heavy if I have it in all day depending on the extension length/style.
Can concur! I use Lullabellz almost on a daily basis for work and I tie my hair up in a tight bun to then wrap the ponytails around it. I have the super long ones, in wavy and blow-dry curly styles 🥰
I guess it would maybe also help to put some kind of styling product in your hair before applying the extension, like dry shampoo, sea salt spray, styling mousse, etc, just so that your hair has more grip and you could maybe also spray the clip with hair spray so that it doesn't slide around as easily.
£40-odd quid for a phone case is too much!. I can get a professional Speigen or like for a lot less!... 😎✌🏼 Also, NO ONE has ever mentioned how great they are who HASN'T been sent them for free. Even you Soph! I was looking forward to seeing an un sponsored review of the brand.. and yet I am still waiting!!...
I have one and I think it’s worth it, but I buy one case and use it until I get a new phone. They have a lot of fun designs which is why I bought it. If you get it with a discount it’s good. I didn’t get ultimate protection, just the one under that. I recommend finding an artist you like and buying their case. I have a really cute case by Cat Wheezie. This way you get a cute case that actually has protection
I guess it depends on the price of your phone. If you have a phone that costs over a grand I imagine £35 for a case would be reasonable. For me I could never afford a phone of that cost and could never justify that price for a case but I'm a single mum so takes alot for me to justify that kind of thing. Similar to when some youtubers class make up that costs over £30 as affordable.
I don’t think they’re worth it. I’ve only ever smashed my phone once and it was with a casetify case. The cracks were on the back glass so I didn’t notice for a while but it was pretty bad, and I hadn’t dropped my phone from an extreme height or anything.
I’m really rough on phones and really everything else I’ve broken life proof cases and otter box cases on multiple occasions I ONLY buy casetify cases now my last one broke but after multiple years use compared to only a couple months and the only undamaged phone I’ve had was in a casetify case I recently invested in one of their screen protectors too and love it they are very expensive cases don’t get me wrong but so was my life proof that only lasted 3 months and my phone is extremely expensive so I want to make sure it’s protected I buy the ultra impact case and with MagSafe it was like $85 so A LOT but worth every penny never been paid or used a discount code for them it’s a bonus for me I can pick a design though not going to lie
Hi Soph - I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. I am 52 years old, so probably NOT your target audience (ha ha), but I just love your personality and I think you do a wonderful job. 😊
you should try Gusto! we had hello fresh for ages and almost every order was messed up, switched to Gusto and never had a single issue, also way bigger variety of recipes
I’m actually so glad you struggled with that log ponytail as much as I did! I got one to wear on my birthday last year after seeing it online so much. My friend who’s a hairdresser helped me, and we just couldn’t get it to stay up! It’s so heavy!
Do like the most tight bun you can and stick the “clip” UP IN your real hair (not under your bun, IN your bun) so your real hair won’t show, it won’t hurt and it stays the whole day and night 💕🦋 I do it all the time but with another brand and human hair (maybe their not that heavy) I hope it helps you 💕
If a hairdresser struggles, why do people bother? You have to ask yourself: do you choose pain or beauty? I'm not going to wear extensions or whiten my teeth if the outcome isn't a miracle, because to me, it's not worth it.
It’s absolutely true that the meal boxes skimp on the portions and the meat especially. My parents tried it for a few weeks and had to add more meat every time it was kinda shocking how little we got.
I've been subscribed to your channel for a super long time and recently fallen back in love with your content c: ty for doing what you're doing, its bringing a lot of joy to my life rn
Those whitening strips definitely worked. If they’re not as expensive as the Crest ones I’d say the results are so much better and the value is definitely there. I’m impressed!
** Testing Overly Sponsored Ads ** Soph: Well anyway... This is sponsored by Casetify 😂 *Edit*: After Sophie dropped her phone. I got a literal RU-vid ad for Casetify too 😂
My stupid goldfish brain keeps going "HOLY SHIT, SHE'S WEARING THE SAME DRESSING GOWN AS ME" when literally I only bought it after seeing it IN YOUR IG STORIES. 😑😂 Who else here got that same Nightmare Before Christmas dressing gown after Soph shared it? ✋
Thank you for answering my question!! Can’t wait for that video! And also thank you for being so honest about your thoughts on these brands, i feel like everyone does ads with them and its so easy to get sucked in, but then end up being kind of disappointed. So thank you for always being so honest with everything you do❤️
I did hello fresh years ago, and it was fine. I wasn't blown away, but it was convenient. I cancelled because the prices were a bit high.... But I'm really over seeing their ads
I've been getting hellofresh for months now, mainly because I always get distracted when I go food shopping and I end buying stuff I don't even need - so this way I only need to go to the corner shop for bread and milk😂
Omg yes I relate to this! 😂 So many times I've been to the supermarket with my list, & half the time put things in my trolley that weren't even on there 🤦♀️
My sister tried Hellofresh for a month or two, just to get the recipe cards so she could just buy the same ingredients for less money at the supermarket. And because the first order is discounted, she would only try it for a bit, then go to another company that does the same kind of thing... and do the same. Some people call it cheap, I call it smart. lol
In regards to hello fresh, I would try Gousto if you wanted to try another meal box! The meals are so delicious and easy to cook. Our friends said the portions are really good too! Could you review all of the meal boxes in a video? Like hello fresh, gousto, green chef, mindful chef etc. It would be really interesting - maybe on your vlog channel
Soph with an Ariana grande pony tail singing Ariana grande songs just made my day ;) (although I wasn't breathing the moment you dropped your phone, so you could say that was a highlight too). Thanks for posting
This was one of the best videos I’ve seen in a while -from anyone. Lol. I really had fun and picked up lots of bits. Very entertaining. See you next time!
My boyfriend and I use hello fresh and for us, it’s so awesome. It works really well for us, we waste less, and we absolutely love the food. It’s well worth it
Hey Soph!! I use the foxy locks pony and is easier and less pressure to clip in if you tie your hair in a little bun first. Give it a try it might help xx
My issue with all the food boxes I've seen they don't cater for single people so you have to fancy the same thing 2 days on the trot to not waste anything and I dont often want the same thi g 2 days in a row. ❤ thanks for the video Soph, you always cheer me up
You could possibly freeze the leftovers. I know that's not the best option and some people don't always like freezing food, but usually it tastes fine, you could maybe have it for lunch the next week or take it to work, so it doesn't feel too repetitive
@@x-starlight-x I find with that it'd fine with some things like maybe a curry but other things with fresh veggies not so much, I only have a small freezer living in rented accommodation so my freezer space is generally limited. I might come back to one of these at some point but it would be nice for at least one of these companies to acknowledge that not everyone shares a home with other people
Completely agree about the portion sizes for hellofresh!! I just use the app now for their recipes and buy ingredients myself, as a lot of it we usually buy anyway it’s just a few bits we need!
hi soph!! when using clip in hair extensions and things i’d recommend using texture hair sprays and you shouldn’t have to tie your hair so tight as your hair will have more grip! I’d also try wrapping it around your hair in a bun to make it less heavy 💘💘
I only have a casetify case because my favorite artist did a collab. I would never spend that much on a phone case if it wasnt. But i love it, it has liquid and glitter inside of it and its cute
I loved this video, the hair one was so relatable! You suit hair up ponytails though! The whitening idea was really good to watch, would you have any recommendations on whitening strips that are affordable and really good. *came from Instagram too*
Finally caved in and got a Casetify case! Thanks for the discount code!! Took me sooooo long to choose one! Went for the extra impact with books on it x
Hiya Soph! I've just discovered your wonderful channel & have spent my morning watching a number of your videos & love your style, content & energy! And you're so very lovely... gorgeous girl, gorgeous spirit & gorgeous hair. Very pretty colour hair looks like it has just a subtle kiss of red, and it really suits you. I'm 56, so too old for many of the fashions but I'm a makeup (you know what rude word often comes after!) and stay very current with quality cosmetics, especially eye palletes! Newest edition was a few months ago when I got the latest limited edition from Haus Labs (Lady Gaga's brand) 'Love For Sale' & would love to see you review & try some different looks with it! And I'm now subscribed to your channel, so won't miss a thing & will look for you on tiktok, IG, etc. Keep being the glorious you & thank you for all the hard work, prep & devotion to your platforms & followers - it's refreshing to see such a class act! 😘xxx
Soph: if you were dancing Also Soph: *proceeds to do neck rotation exercise 😂 Love this video Soph, the small pony looked so cute on you, Ive had my eyes on them for agesss x Would love to see more of these videos, so much fun to watch!! ✨
i wear INH ponytails all the time, and u definitely have to DIG that clip in to the base of ur ponytail then wrap the hair really tight but making sure no hair is stuck in the velcro because the velcro needs to stick to itself and just wrap the rest of the hair tightly
U really suit that shorter ponytail! I tried 1 years ago, not sure what brand and I just could not get it to work. It was so frustrating because I think they look beautiful! Xx
Soph, I’d love to see you try Lashify & ilashX (one is super expensive & the other is much cheaper) diy eyelash extensions. They’re these eyelashes that you put under your own lashes, and they can last 5-10 days and then you take them off, wash them, and put them on again. I’d love your opinion on them both after trying them for a week. Do you like them, is there much of a difference between the two, is one better than the other, etc. I’d really really love to see you do a video on this please!
Hey Soph, I hope you’re doing well. I support you from a few years and you’re one of my fav RU-vidrs. Love you so much ❤️ Btw, I came from insta story ❤️
I wear the ponytail on dance assignments. I pin it into my own ponytail at the base with several different pins. It's not going anywhere when im rolling onto the floor doing hairflips :)
I've done hello fresh two separate times as well. I enjoyed it and agree that it's nice for some inspiration. I did feel like it took me longer than the time they said it should take and some recipes didn't feel like quite enough but anything that was all in one bowl (basically all the pasta ones) I definitely got more servings out of it.
I can not help myself but I LOVE you so much :D :D I love that you are not afraid to test and show even the things some people would consider embarassing to post. I Love that dedication. :)
20:44, the hair color would be called “chestnut” so kind of a light warm-ish brown. It is actually my natural hair color but my hair is more golden and bronzy.
I have blonde hair but it's kind of dirty blonde, it's not as bright as that hair extension that she tried on first. But luckily I don't need hair extensions anyway because my hair is super thick and long, like a good four inches longer than that blonde hair extension. So I always get a banging headache every time I put my hair up into a high ponytail! Love the video! Thanks so much!
My case was £3.99 off eBay, I've dropped my phone multiple times and even dropped it down the stairs and my phone is still intact. Also I have the Hismile purple colour corrector which is amazing, I've never had my teeth whitened and my teeth are so white now. Definitely a product I will continue to use
Another thing people never mention about hello fresh is that as SOON as you put your card info in to see the options, you are “consenting” to ordering from them, and they WILL pull money from your account and send you a box whether you go back to actually “order” or not.
i’ve been thinking about hello fresh just every once in a while and i really liked your review of the recipes!!! my whole family except for me have celiac disease (can’t have wheat) so i wonder what good options they have besides the meat ones
My favorite extensions that also advertise everywhere here in Australia is Zala. Been wearing their extensions for years!!! You are definitely dark blonde. Looks to be inbetween a level 6-7. Level 6 is wear It's inbetween brown and blonde. Xx Also with ponytail hair extensions i slip the clip into my hair ties rather than in the hair. I wear one literally everyday.
Hai Soph. You should take an other elastic band and tie it around your ponytail just a little bit under the on that you made your pony tail with, then you put the pins in between the two bands. Really pull the extra hair strand with the Velcro tight. If you do it like this,it doesn’t hurt and you can dance all night with it!
You with the shorter ponytail, that is actually how much real hair I have. Mine is longer tho, when my hair is wet it feels like a 10 pound weight on my head lol but I really love my hair. It's the one thing I really love about myself lol I hope you are doing well 💖💖💖💖
I love these videos! And I love your honesty. I really wanted to try casetify but unless you've got an iPhone or a very select few Samsung S ranges then you can't get one 🤦🏻♀️
Wish I could have seen this earlier!! I used to work in a virology lab and we had to use our phones for the group chat etc and had to have it on as at all times for team communication!! You can imagine how gross it felt to have my own phone there and on the table next to the samples for timing stuff or recording times or just sending pictures if something was missing/wrong 😳😭
Having tried both I would say Gusto has much better portion sizes and a variety of food in comparison to hello fresh and it's actually a bit cheaper! Also gusto has a wider variety of vegetarian and allergen free food :)
Just an idea for a different kind of video, would you be able to make a video on all of your vintage clothing collection and the best places you find them? I personally love vintage clothing and would love to see this content! Even though the items can’t be linked and bought, I think it would be fun 💙
