This video is absolutely incredible!! 😂 I love how you represented Smash 64 after 25 years of existing. If not for this game, we wouldn't have future entries like Melee, Brawl & Ultimate. 😱 Unfortunately, my first experience with Super Smash Bros Melee. (I was spoiled 😆) So I was in for a shock to know there was a game before this!! However this game holds up really good, sure there are better games that come later or even released in that time. It created a community & an amazing concept of crossovers. I planned to make my own video on this game so checking out your own take on this classic gem is such an amazing inspiration!! I love your jokes & enthusiasm you have in this video, this is my first video from your channel & you have convinced me to subscribe!! I have a soft spot for Smash in general for being a constant in my life (will spare you the details), so of course with the 25th anniversary I wanted to pay homage to its roots!! Definitely spoiled with Melee being your first! I'm super excited to see your take on how this game plays for you so you got a new sub HA. This was a more experimental video for me so again the fact that you enjoyed it so much really gave me a confidence boost. Appreciate your paragraph comment!! And I'll end by saying that if you don't include Smash Remix in your vid, we're gonna have a problem :)

Fun Fact: Even though I grew up in the Wii/Wii U era and don't even play Smash, Smash 64 is the Smash game I probably have the most amount of playtime in. Reason being is because my dentist I've been seeing my whole life has had a Nintendo 64 kiosk in the waiting room for as long as I can remember that's still there to this day, and so I play it whenever I have to wait, and it always has Smash 64 running on it (except one time where it had Wave Race). I got Brawl for my Wii in like 2018 but unfortunately lost it after not too long, and I also got Ultimate not too long ago but haven't opened it yet, and that's it, meaning that the N64 one is my most played in the series.

That's a cool story! Shout out to your dentist for even having a console in the waiting room, let alone one of the best games out there. Definitely try Smash Remix if you haven't already (and if possible), you'd be amazed!!

@@savaget2058 It's always on whenever I'm there. There was a period of time when it was out of order, and another period of time when it was closed due to the pandemic, but otherwise yeah it's been on and working all day as far as I can tell.

Smash 64 is one of those games you only really bust out when you have friends over. I have maybe 10 hours in single player and 1000s in multiplayer

I love this video and love hearing about all these different layers about the original Smash. This was a big game from my childhood, and hell it Made me happy seeing Z canceling again hahaha. I also really like all the new camera angles you were using for this video to spice things up. They used to do the high five fake out in the 90s too, but instead of "jellyfish" it was "psych!" or simply "too slow". There was even a while "Up high, down low, too slow" sequence as more of a playful thing than a mean thing.

Now its time to learn melee and see if you can win a local. 😀 I grew up playing 64 and melee and brawl but didn't take it serious until ultimate, eventually my friends and I got tired of ultimate and tried melee. It was so weird going from ultimate to melee. It honestly felt like I couldn't even control my character. Then one day it clicked. When we went back to ultimate it was insane how much better we were. But we quickly realized melee is just a better game.
