Honestly a chill dude,Japan is a country where most people stick to themselves and this dude just being a absolute legend shows that nice people exist even small things like that, also I wonder what energy drinks in Japan are like, never been there tbh,I wait till I'm back in the military and have more money so I can do stunts like that, also I want Japanese survival and camping gear,am I retarded? Yes,but I'm chill.
5:09 the trick to walking across extremely busy traffic junctions (or train stations) is to maintain a consistent walking pace with the people walking around you. everyone might be headed in different directions but just calmly focus on your destination. the bodies in the crowd will weave around each other naturally
yea my family had to go to japan when i was rly young for half a yr cuz my dads work and my mom literally left her bag with, wallet, id, every single card we own on a bench for almost an entire day and it was still there with everything inside
Japan features the longest *legal* work week (longer than China) It is very common to see men dressed in entire suits completely passed out from tiredness in public.
@Xechnify It's actually quite nice to drink a coffee before your nap. The caffeine takes 30-45 minutes to get in your bloodstream. So quick nap and then get full power after the 30 minute nap.
@@CaseyDplays Apparently the Japanese are really polite people (some I think im not sure, never actually been there, but I've heard for my sisters friends that they are. :D)
Can I please say just how respectful Ryan is? He’s not walking up to random strangers and shoving cameras in their faces like some other RU-vidrs do when they visit foreign countries
This is probably the most informative video I've seen on how to film and edit solo (but I wonder about the wide shots and if he setup a tripod and 'trusted' nothing would go wrong).
That last interaction was so wholesome I had to rewatch it a few times. Japan is a good place with some really nice and genuinely good people. Great vid Ryan!
During the day, I can literally fall asleep standing, but for some reason once it hits time to go to bed I can't fall asleep to save my life. Darn ADHD! But hey, I'm king at taking naps 🤣😂
@@Errgit hopfully you werent ded or hopfully no one walked in still hearing the shower and you just standing there asleep oof i think your water bill little high now lol
Fun fact: Japanese workers commute by train has special ability where they can sleep exactly the length of their route. meaning they will wake up at their home station. And as you know it's common sight to see people in proper suits completely passed out in public not worrying if someone would steal something, shows how safe it is and at the same time how abnormally long the working hours are. yes, I'm one of them, although I'm not native but it shows it is possible to acquire that ability afterward.
I can do this in my Uber to work and my Uber bank home. I let the driver that I'm going to be sleeping but that I'll wake up before we get there and yeah I do. I feel like my body recognizes the turn of the exit ramp in front of my job and it recognizes the turn into my neighborhood
I am a Japanese person and I can confirm that people do actually nap on the trains I will go back and visit grandparents in 2 months 😁 I’m glad you enjoyed Japan.
this is why i love japan, the people are so sweet. that guy really just went out of his way to give a random stranger an energy drink just for taking a nap
This reminds me of how a cat behaves, You can buy all the cat beds in the world and the cat wants to sleep in a box. Ryan, Goes to Japan to spend a lot of money on sleep pods, actually naps on a crowded street. lol
I came for the 1 star review visits and i stay for ryan. I can't say for sure but i think i speak for the other 15 million people when i say your content is unique and genuine. Very well received at least for me
As a perpetually sleepy individual, stumbling upon this video was an unexpected delight. With droopy eyes and a mind half-submerged in the realm of dreams, I reluctantly pressed play, hoping to find solace in the soothing glow of the screen. However, what unfolded before me was far from a lullaby. It was a captivating masterpiece that jolted my drowsy senses awake. The visuals danced with vibrant hues, entwining with a symphony of sound that reverberated through my weary bones. Each frame seemed to whisper secrets that only the awakened could decipher. My drowsiness dissipated, replaced by a surge of energy as I marveled at the intricate details and the seamless fusion of art and technology. This video, amidst my constant battle with sleep, managed to awaken my senses and remind me that there is a world of beauty and inspiration that transcends the confines of fatigue
why is this worded so beautifully- like im not complaining, that comment was a sweet melody of words intertwining and flowing, but. i mean, pop off lol
Maybe you need to get more sleep. Regularly sleeping less than 6-7 hours is literally dangerous. And sleeping only 4 hours leaves your brain running as if it was legally drunk.
Some people can't remember if or how many times they wake up during the night, and waking up at a fixed time means every hour later going to sleep is worse, plus you can't fully sleep off lost sleep after that day. There are also things a doctor can help you with to get more sleep (not sleep drugs) and if you are older, or defficient, a doctor may prescribe melatonin (melatonin is not an sleep drug, but an indicator to the sleep areas of the brain).
I once fell asleep on the commute back to my hostel on a Japanese train. I was apparently on the last train of the night and it ended at my station. The worker on the train was so kind and woke me up. I was completely safe.
I miss the crossing America series. It was so good and comforting to know that every day I could come home from school and see a new episode of a great series. Maybe you should make a another one where you cross a different country? Please?
Such an important topic - I struggle with slowing down as well and lately my body has to essentially shut down for me to even consider a nap. Always being busy and productive until you’re drained isn’t a great thing; recharging and being able to be present fully is the best thing for yourself and others - thank you Ryan!
The fact that you were in japan and riding the train I take everyday and literally were so close to me is like ahhhhh!!! Lots of support from Japan! Love you man!
a totally cool place you couldve checked out was Shinagawa Station. I was with my dad for 8 days at a tiny hostel in Kita-Shinagawa and we would go to Shinagawa station everyday to take the trains EVERYWHERE (theres a coffee shop above the station where you can see all the people walking below you and they pour your coffee to the brim of the cup)
Been here for around 3-4 years with you and it’s been wonderful I’m so happy to watch you grow even bigger Ryan. You’ve always made my day and made me smile in my darkest time. Thank you
