A great way to keep track of your books, especially when you've arranged them in a rainbow, is a book log app like The Handy Library (the one I use). You just scan the books and the cover is included most of the time (if not you can take a pic) and you can organize your books into "shelves" and label them by genre or feel or whatever you want, and you can also track your reading, leave notes, mark your favorites, and see what percentage of your collection you've read. It would come in handy if you couldn't remember what a certain book looked like (and you could label your shelves in colors if you did rainbow sorting on your actual shelves). I just really like the app and wanted to talk about it 😂

I LOVE Gilmore Girls. I love the whole asthetic, the characters, everything about it. I'll have to check out the list of books Rory read. It's been a while since I watched the show...I forgot that she carried around a book all the time.

I read Franny and Zooey because it was the book Jess used as an excuse for being in Rory's room when he returned her bracelet. It became one of my all-time favorite books! I highly recommend it!

and then there were none is one of my favourite from agatha christie!! 😆 i understand why the reveal bothered you, but for me, i actually really liked the way it was told. i highly recommend picking up other books by christie because they are all gold! my other favourites are "hercule poirot's christmas" and "after the funeral", i personally think they're both quite underrated 😄

Girl yes! Rory resonated with me too. I was a bit of a nerd in HS I ate lunch in the library lol but as you said I did not like the reboot nor did I like the situation during the show with dean & later her mom you know…. You know…. Jeffrey Eugenides is a great author! Have you read his other book, Middlesex? If not, I think you would really like it! It is about a character who’s grandparents are Greek, and it’s a really unique and interesting story! There is so much going on in the book. I read it for class in high school & it is a story I’ve never forgotten! 💕

I've always wanted to read like Rory but I think the list intimidates me so I chose not to go there. I would love for you to read more books from the list, though. It would be interesting to see what you think of the whole list. I have never read for 24 hours straight, but I am planning to read as much as possible this weekend. I have an appointment on Friday, but I think I can manage this on Saturday and Sunday when there is no one posting videos. I have things to do this weekend but it will be later in the evening so I will have plenty of time to read. I don't know how it will happen with this horrible slump I'm in but the plan is to read so I need to at least try and not make more excuses... Anyway, see you Sunday!

I will for sure be doing this soon, but with audiobooks because I have not started a new physical book, and I have audiobooks going at this point that I need to finish. I'll read Amulet book 5 on Friday, but that's gonna take less than 3 hours. Maybe I'll do that 24-hour thing this weekend. Not a consecutive 24 hours, but in total. Maybe I should not plan things ahead of time since that always gets messed up before the time comes. hahah

Loved this! I was bugged by the end of Then There Were None as well, but loved the atmosphere, etc... The Virgin Suicides is definitely not for me. You should give Beloved a try, maybe this fall, as there is a good deal of spookiness.

I have started episode one of the Gilmore Girls three times now and I just can’t get past Rory’s attitude when that one dude talks to her for the first time and suddenly she doesn’t want to go to that school and she calls her mom a bitch or something? The further away I get from Gilmore Girls the more problems I find with it. Rory is actually a felon, and somehow she is the victim in the situation. She's so privileged and they try to portray her as not. She is also NOT a journalist, she's too shy and undemanding, she never would have made it.

I couldn't read The Virgin Suicides. I've lost more than one friend to suicide. Don't think I want to go there. I hear it is a very good book though. I read "And then there were none" when I was a kid. Probably 9 or 10 and then saw both movies based in it. One titled And then there were none and the other titles Ten Little Indians. :) The books are always better but both movies were really good too. I love the Gilmore Girls. Great show. In my top five all time. And yes, it isn't perfect but I would contend no show is and the imperfections are few and far between and the good far outweighs the bad.
