I started running January 27th of this year! I've been going every morning around the same time (I take 1 day off a week to give myself a break) I'm almost at a month and I'm so proud of myself bc girl I do NOT exercise. I started running bc I realized how pathetic I was to not be doing anything healthy for my body. But like I'm addicted. It will now be part of my forever morning routine. I run between 1-2 miles (did 2 miles today, yay!) hoping to run a 5k sometime this year. I'm proud of myself and proud of you as well!
When I weighed over 200 lbs my doctor told me to get up one minute earlier and walk for one minute. But I also had to add a minute every day to my walk. Try it. At the end of a year you are up to over three hours a day. Pick your Marathon!
Wow 3 hours everyday would be hard to keep up with! I don’t think I could do that for the rest of my life! I’m trying not to do more than what I can keep up with doing so that it’s doable to do and want to do everyday! I couldn’t imagine having to worry about fitting in 3 hours to workout everyday!
Keep it up! Good job! I was struggling with exercise because I have so many health problems. Fatigue and over sweating are the hardest things when it comes to exercise and being sick too! I got a treadmill and put it right in the middle of my living room in front of my tv and I have got on it everyday for over 5 months now! I too started running! I can run 20 minutes and I stay on it for at least 60 minutes a day! I’ve lost over 20 lbs! Now I hope to keep it up for the rest of my life!
This was very relatable! I have had the same pattern throughout my life (though taking walks was always pretty consistent/part of my life, with the occasional hike.) But sticking to a workout routine is very similar to what you said your past pattern was. Good for you! I'm gonna see if I can get a habit of running 10 minutes a day in the morning! Just did it today!
Just started my 30 day running challenge yesterday, 1 mile minimum everyday for 30 days. Been watching all these vids including yours and it's inspired me to give it ago! Day 1 is uploaded to my channel if anyone wants to see my journey with it. Im glad you had such a positive outcome from your running challenge, keep up the good work!
I just accomplished my very 1st(virtual)5k today!! :D I never was a runner, had crazy shin splints& couldn't run past 5/10~ish mins w/out walking in between or stopping. What helped me was to join spin classes, tone up those muscles FIRST(helps to rid of shin splits too, who knew!)& gain some cardio-health as well. The cross training definitely helped... I cannot believe that I can run 40+mins straight at my top speed. Insane to think!! ANYONE can do it if I can, lol. Oh! Another tip:my friend says that she used couchto5k app to help her, lots of ppl talk about it, tho for me I just use a fitness tracker&cross train(spin class 3xper week&yoga 1-2x perweek). Yay!!
i love this!! running has been a part of my life because my mom is a runner and has done marathons and i myself did triathlon because of her (im 17). However, i try to run like at least 2 times a week and then i do other trainings throughout the week and give myself like 2 days rest in the week with no workout. I want to try this tho and try running each day so i can do it this whole december and start the new year of well!!! thanks for the inspo :))
Once it’s a part of your routine you feel weird when you don’t do it. I run everyday at 10am i feel so weird not doing it now. I’m a year in so far haven’t missed more than handful of days
I’m 15, 5’8 and weight like 200 pounds. I can run, but I want to try running for 15 mins day for a month. I hope to then run for longer amount of time everyday for the next year.
Did u get alot of soreness and muscular pain? I did 2 days in a row and on the 4th day I was dying, so now I've been 2 days without running...now what? I. Gonna get back on tonight but those painful next days are horrid
Don't do running but thinking of starting running. I did start jump roping a couple of weeks ago and I felt so much pain on day 2 and 3. Took a couple of days off and restarted and it was good and have been doing it daily, no issues
@@sarahszss I'm gonna do it like that too then..just 2 days, then if it hurts too much I'll let my body recover a couple days and then so on and so forth....i will prevail
I run everyday...logically you should be taking a break but I'm stubborn and go to the extreme😂 I ran through the pain messed up my shin and foot but it shouldn't be this way. Set a daily distance that you want to run and gradually increase that each week if you'd like. Also make sure you have the correct running shoes, I'm a supinator so my feet dont absorb the shock from when my foot hits the ground making me more prone to injury so I have shoes to aid that. You will be really sore for like the first week. Soreness is pretty normal but you shouldn't be in pain. Make sure you stretch before and after your run. You should also get either a foam rolled or tennis ball and rub it on your problem areas. Rest ice compression and elevation will really help if you have swelling or you're recovering from injuries. If you feel pain stop. Running is mental...break through those mental barriers and run through the soreness. It will eventually get better in my opinion.
Jesus is the way the truth and the life . There is no other way to heaven except through Him. Repent before it’s too late ... it’s your choice .... heaven or hell . He loves you so much that He died for you ... He didn’t die for you to ignore Him . He died for you to turn to Him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Change your ways and turn to Him!!!
