Found footage movies always remind me of the time nine inch nails was recording the footage for the "down in it" music video. They took a camera and attached it to a weather balloon & the balloon was supposed to just got straight up & then they'd pull it back down and grab the tape. Well, the rope broke & the balloon & camera disappeared into the sky. I think about a week or a month later someone found the camera & thought it was a video of a dead guy. They then notified the police. So Trent Reznor had to postpone a concert to prove to the cops he, in fact, wasn't dead

There's actually a similar movie already out there. It's called V/H/S, and it's an anthology found-footage horror movie. One of the segments is quite similar to this story.

Yes I like those movies! I was talking specifically about the idea of a movie about a movie that's trying to be made. It'd kinda be like a Blair witch project/as above so below. We'd know that the pin was going to drop but not be sure about where or why

14:38 i’ve had a moment like that with my friends before. it was PURE horror. We were camping and we decided to go night fishing but we didn’t catch anything, we were walking along the river to our campsite in the middle of the night and we hear branches snap behind us so we turn around with our really bad headlamps and we see eye shine, about hip height. We thought it was a mountain lion for a good 3 second and thought that was gonna be the end of us… Turns out, it was just a curious little deer. We had a good laugh after that

You're always my favorite narrator. And you are directly responsible for helping me further bond with my teenage sons ever since we all realized we were all subscribed and adore your content. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for that. It's a priceless gift, and you deserve to know what it means to me. It can be so hard to find those strong interest connection points with teens, especially when our little family has been through hell the past few years. My son's (and younger daughter) had all types of gaming and nerdery in common, along with a love of all things spooky. And for the last couple of years, we've had your narrated horror to collectively love, at a time when we needed connection desperately. I've gone on aimless drives while they both learned to drive just so we could listen to your podcasts and posts while they were/are getting their practice in on rural roads at night. (Indiana's pitch black, creepy back roads and byways? Best ambience for listening to horror.) So yeah, I just wanted you to know what a positive impact you've had in my and my kiddos' lives, especially while we were in a really rough spot. I also want to let you know the following... You are amazing. Please take care of yourself and do whatever you need to in order to thrive. Don't stress about updating or posting or anything related to it. We want you happy and well, for your own sake foremost, but also so that we fans can have more story narrations in the long run. Take all the self-care and time you need. Seriously, it's imperative. We'll all still be here, rooting for you and supporting you, whenever you feel comfortable posting, whether it's tomorrow or a year from now. My youngest is seven, and she loves all things scary, but I'm trying to keep it in the realm of Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and milder ghost stories. Some of the tamer nosleep stuff is pretty good for us to share reading. She gets reading practice, I get good stories. Win/Win. :)

Neat story, reminds me of one of the segments from the first V/H/S film, an actual found footage horror flic. The basic premise is a girl takes a group of friends out to a location where a massacre had occurred in the previous year, and she was the only survivor. Her intention was to use the others as bait and trap the killer, who, mysteriously, was not able to be captured on camera due to glitch effects that always surrounded him. Wonder if the similarity was intentional.

I hadn’t sen the Blair Which. I have it on BlueRay. I just bout it a month ago. I will watch it soon. I have not her Blair witch movie? I think it’s a a prequel? 😊

I think a prequel was released, but I'm not sure. The first Blair Witch movie came out in 1999, and is just found footage. There was a sequel, but it was an actual movie. Personally, I'm not a fan of the franchise, but I know some people are, so I don't know much about it.

I can't stand the Word...word...wordwordwordwordword casual cadence. And I hate that, because you seem to go out of your way to choose quality stories, unlike many other narrators that read whatever comes across their desk. But the cheery, colloquial tone completely takes the gravity out of any given story and gives it this "tongue-in-cheek, wink and a nod" levity unbefitting scary stories. Not that you're gonna change your whole reading style, but figured I'd at least voice it. Not everyone is for everyone and that's ok. I just hate that I'm constantly being re-recommended your vids only to be reminded, each time, why I quit listening. Keep up the good work, regardless. Best of luck.
