For efficient emeralds you should give one of the villagers a fletching job. You can easily trade sticks for emeralds and its more efficient than trading in your food. To make a fletching table its four wood planks and two flint on top.

Also idk if Ray tracing would work with the fresh animations, or if you're trying to keep it more of a classic feel without rtx, but I just love rtx and think it would look really nice.

DAN please don’t forget that villager trades RESET if you don’t trade with them, therefore a librarian can reset trades after ~5 minutes and that isn’t violating any rules since it’s a mechanic mojang added themselves. I just noticed this before and wanted to point it out

Potatoes (spuds) are better for trading with villagers to get emeralds because potatoes usually yield more than carrots. However carrots are better for eating as you do not need to cook them. You can also plant berries, it is a never ending supply of food and you don't need to replant it. Hope this helps.

Hey Dan, you can use a dispenser to dispense armor onto Fungo, you can put fire protection or something on it so if he does go in the lava you have time to save him.

You should name the pick "pungo" A reference to multiple things, pickaxe, fungo and, in the name PUNgo.

The reverb effects and echo when Dan is placing the blocks at 6:50 is a really nice touch with the editing, very satisfying

My personal story for them is that they're just actual brothers that are in headstrong competition with each other😂😂 They definitely need names: I think Dale and Den would be interesting names or something along those lines, since they're both seem pretty heavy in their contact with each other. To keep villagers from falling into the lava pool without using walls or fences, you can try these alternative methods: **Trapdoors:** 1. Surround the lava pool with trapdoors placed vertically. 2. When closed, the trapdoors will form a barrier that villagers can't pass through. 3. This method is both functional and visually appealing. **Carpet and String:** 1. Place string around the edge of the lava pool. 2. Put carpet on top of the string. 3. This creates an invisible barrier that villagers can't walk over, keeping them safe from the lava.

Hey Dan! There is a really cool method of getting diamonds that I think would work really well for you. If you can find a moss block and go down into that giant cave, when you place it and use bonemeal it’ll turn all the surrounding stone into moss but ignore diamonds and with a hoe you can get rid of the moss super fast. Diamonds spawn more often not exposed to air so there will likely be a lot just beneath the surface.

When a villager renews its trades, or unlocks new ones, it receives an 8 second regeneration effect; enough to restore 4 health each time.

Seeing Dan break the budding amethyst (the amethyst blocks with the X on them) hurt. For Dan: You don't break those ones, as they don't drop anything and they are what grow the amethyst back

I think you should name your pickaxe "fortune cookie" or "le pick". It would be quite ironic and fitting

not really anything that was really talked about but if you ever wanna get a trident you can throw a nautilus shell i think? at a drowned with a trident and it'll drop the trident with full durability :) the drowned during the amethyst island reminded me. also i love the series so far!! its really nostalgic for me

I have an idea for u Dan! If u make a cartography table to get a cartographer and level it up to level 2 there will be a trade that allows u to sell glass pains for emeralds and trust me I’ve done it and ended up getting over 5 stacks of emeralds, give it a try. Dan, the blocks the Amethyst grow on aren't random! There's a specific block called Budding Amethyst with an x on them that the Amethyst grow on, meaning it's renewable! They won't drop if you break them though, even with silk touch.

Hey dan! i got a couple of ideas. 1: What if you make the trail to the enchanting table a series of little calcite-amethyst islands you jump across? 2: You notice that when the trapdoors are closed on the carrot farm, keeping the water in, the light beneath the lever is on? i think it’d be quite cool if you switched it, and made it so that when the water is released, the light turns on.

If you want to seek out more of the new stuff that's fun and practical, maybe go armadillo hunting to get armour for your wolves. Could even keep some as pets. To increase the number of villagers naturally you could make an episode based on building new villager houses, possibly adding your own flair to them. Could make a big fancy library villager family, a grand hall for carrot farmers, etc. Could even make some underground villager houses and put smiths/masons in there. With a fletcher you could also get some sticks for emeralds trades. Having a cast of named villages with improv story lines would be golden. If you really want to go back into the villager role-play, you could implement a monarchy with a Villager Royal family employing you and the Iron Golem, Rott and his children plotting to overthrow the empire, Fungo retiring and setting up Fungo Jr to be head of the order of the carrot, a librarian council that serves the King, etc.

If you wanna make sure Fungo stays safe (safer) try using a dispenser with armour of any type and flip a lever or press a button until they are all on him (note: you won’t see it in him but you will know if it is when is not on the floor or in the dispenser)

The Cartographer when leveled up once gives an emerald for 11 glass panes but when you craft glass panes you get 16 which I personally think is the best way to earn emeralds.

Placing a cauldron with a stalagmite right above, with a block over that, and lava on top of that block allows the cauldron to fill up with lava passively over time

5:57 Hey @DanTDM , if you put a villager in a small trapped space, shoot strong armour at it using a dispenser, it may not physically show up but it will make it stronger, maybe try it out! 👋

Just a heads up if you find a geode next time, some amethyst blocks (amethyst buds) are able to grow crystals. If you break the crystals on the specific blocks you can use the shards to make blocks instead of breaking the whole thing. They regenerate as well so you can keep collecting them :). Also I think if you use silk touch on the amethyst clusters while they’re growing you can get different levels of the clusters.
