I tried speedrunning Undertale Genocide and it was incredibly dark 

When I did my genocide run I actually almost stopped when I read the note in Snowdin that said "Please don't hurt my family."

I love how Sans already caught on to what you're doing and is like "Can you at least pretend to be human for my bro?"

I've never realised how short the sans fight is if you are just good💀

what kind of evil, horrible person would speedrun this route?? horrible. Just a note btw, doing the "Frisk Dance" doesn't actually speed up encounters - it just allows you to grind for them optimally without changing position. You'd get the exact same result from walking up and down manually, that just takes a lot more effort :P

Sans attacks you not because you killed papyrus but because he wouldve been left with jerry

Fun fact: If you code in Jerry into a boss fight the attacks are actually longer but some attacks are a set time like the shield attack from Undyne.

Everyone is always saying that the ”but nobody came” message is annoying. But no one is realizing the how absolutely genius it is. The reason it appears so often is because the game wants you to realize what you have done. And make you feel horrible.

Fun fact: Toby fox wanted the game to delete its self after a genocide ending but couldn't get it to work right and instead added the thing u get after you reopen the game you can still find code that say somthing like /delete UNDERTALE

I feel like speedrunning Genocide is extra brutal, you don't even wait for the special dialog and even spare some enemies to kill them later because it takes too long. Also, you're destroying and restoring the world over and over just to get a faster time lol

Playing Undertale then graduating to deltarune. The stories get more complex and a lot more sad.. I get it’s just ‘pixels’ on a screen. But the characters having their own lives and stories- it makes killing them so much more difficult. I get why a lot of people can’t do genocide runs because of this. Some of them plead, smile despite your actions or cry. It’s not showing ‘weakness’ for empathy. Even if they’re not truly real. It’s still sad to the majority. I remember my first neural run as a kid. I killed shyren on accident and Undyne made me feel so bad for it. “She was getting better with her singing”- and went on to demean me for my one action. honestly gave me chills at a young age. Especially since killing her was so easy

I love this game. It's really crazy just how much this game changed things in the indie gaming world and in the long run in the AAA one considering things related to it made it into Smash Bros and Toby is doing music for Nintendo now. The genocide run is also my favourite run. Especially after doing a pacifist run. Love seeing how much the characters change.

The Undyne boss fight really got me... She was the only monster who has determination.

I definitely don't have the willpower to do a genocide run. Thanks for posting this, I learnt tons about the route and the boss fights, will use it in the future if I ever feel cruel enough to do a genocide.

Imagine if Pacifist Runs tainted Genocide runs. Like for one example the characters would be nonchalant about it, Sans would point out how boring it is, Papyrus asking Frisk if they want to hangout after they reset, Flowey being taken aback by how everyone’s acting, etc. Another example being that it’s literally impossible to kill a monster which the underground takes notice of, like Undyne only takes 0.1 damage.

I'm no speedrunner, but your Friskdancing technique would be a GODSEND for me were I ever to try the genocide run. I don't wanna just walk around and wait for the next encounter.

Undertale is litteraly my favorite Indie-game. I've played it too many times. To see that EasySpeezy is speedrunning it, I'm invested.

Fun fact by doing a another play through correctly you can go through floweys text faster which saves a ton of time because he just says “do you have anything better to do” and then disappears .

One thing about the undyne fight is that the game actually tells you what’s gonna hit by showing the current arrow as red. It’s doesn’t really help in speed runs but it helped me in my current genocide save when the slow attacks came.

I finally did a genocide run for the first time a few weeks ago. I took a couple year break after the pacifist run because I didn’t want to kill anyone 😂

I may be misremembering, but I think at the start with Flowey, going directly into the left corner is actually marginally slower than waiting just a split second because of the speed difference of the bullets when you start around the edge. That might not be real, but I do think I remember that being fastest for me.

Theres a very intricate spot that you can use to dodge the spear attack in the small box in the Undyne fight. If you get there it’s 100% impossible to be damaged. Little cool fact that I used to beat the fight.

I've been practicing geno speedrun and my least favorite thing ever is fighting madjick (the magician guy), especially on warriors path because he basically is basically the final skill check of the run and it is so punishing if you don't hit the perfect quad.

I watched this video thinking "maybe I'll get some tips for Undyne" and then you just did the fight perfectly and I guess I just have to fight her for another 6 hours so I can be as good as you are.

I could never get past Undyne in genocide. I just am really bad at blocking the attacks when you are stuck in the little box.

One thing that I should mention: I was wondering why he switched from the burnt pan to not get more healing, but given his route, he only would have gotten 1 extra HP from it. Another thing is that I believe this is the first version of undertale, the exploit he does in the sans fight is (last I checked) patched out

the undyne attack which you find really hard has a pretty simple pattern. kinda just go up and then theres this path that forms in between the arrows and it just goes around in circles and its pretty easy from there.

Thank you for making this video I actually unlike most people in this comment enjoy how you showed incredibly relaxed attitude while taking down each and every single one of them one by one and be like “yeah I just don’t care” LOL. Not everyone love the designs -- if you want your characters to not be killed, don’t give the players the option to kill them in the first place. Instead give them two choices, NOT giving a single hint on what’s gonna happen if you mistakenly hit like ONE kill, and then the entire game basically mocks you for your “hypocrisy”. Dude. I came to play a game to relax, not to be or mocked or humiliated or insulted. Especially when you spent all those times dodging these terribly hard attacks, reaching the end, and desperately found out it’s basically impossible to clear the game because not everyone has the patience nor skills to beat Sans. Aaaaaand congratulations you just wasted hours of your life and need to delete this game entirely and start over again. Listen, not everyone is a grinder; some of us just wanna enjoy the journey.
