@jdstep97 he looks like Babish from Cooking with Babish! I was surprised watching Sauce Stashe got the first time in a while, at first I thought they were doing a Collab. He's so different! It looks like he's healthy, so that's great lol
i desperately want to try this, but as someone who has a very severe reaction to dairy, I'm terrified they will accidentally give me the regular stuff.
@@gohawks3571If they actually give the dairy free stuff they’ll be okay (as long as there was no cross contamination) but mistakes happen all the time.
😅several times i ordered items without meat , and end up chewing meat...now i have rip open the perfectly folded tortillas just to check .. so i dont have faith in them not mixing up the nacho cheese
I made this vegan nacho cheese before. I used tumeric, soy, lime juice, tapioca flour, salt, sugar and MSG. you can leave the MSG if you dont like it. It tastes good tho but a bit thick so i guess you can thin it a bit
the secret ingredient in the fries and the cheese? MSG!! a lot of people hate it but I think it can be a great thing to elevate food to the next level, especially food that doesn’t taste the best beforehand.
They just need to put a green leaf by the product to let vegans know it’s plant based. This way vegans and non vegans can enjoy it. Too many meat eaters think that vegan food is only for vegans.
Well, tell that to my extended family when we have reunions/cookouts. Let it be told, I'm the ONE vegan but people want to eat my food. If I don't get to my food in time, someone else will eat it. WHY? ALL THAT other food, and you have to eat mine.
Man, I feel bad. I feel like something is wrong with me because so far, every video I have seen with, like some of my favorite vegan youtubers tried it and said it was delicious but when I tried it, I legit thought it was not good. It was soooo not good too me! And I'm not a picky person, so of course, I had l to ask my Son to try some also to see what he thought. He also loves everything. He's not picky. He did not like it either. So we ended up going home and just making some of our own vegan cheese sauce. A particular favorite favorite for anybody who doesn't know--Hot for food on RU-vid--her vegan Nacho cheese sauce. That stuff is deliiiicious!!! It's a little bit spicy but it's really good. And I've seen it's been a big inspiration for a lot of other vegan youtubers making their nacho cheese sauce because before her I did notice they were all very similar or a little bit lacking on flavor and hers was the first one that I tried that I thought oh my God this actually taste like nacho cheese sauce. And now I see like a lot of variations of it so it's pretty cool. Especially for anybody who could have Allergies you can kind of adapt it to other stuff. Another good one is a tabitha brown one she makes for her mac and cheese. I've never made it like as a dipping sauce but it's really good with the mac ❤ Ne who Anybody else out there thought it wasn't that good, or was that just me?
There is nothing wrong with you!!! Everyone has different taste preferences. I really enjoyed it and had it a few times while it was available. To me it tastes just like their nacho cheese, which I was able to replicate a few months ago. Im wondering if there could have been something wrong with the cheese you tried? Like it sat too long that day or overnight? I dont know. But liking something different is totally ok! and thanks for the tips. I'll have to try some of those other cheeses you mentioned!
@@SauceStache Oh wow of anybody responding to my message I didn't think it would be you. But I didn't know you made a vegan taco bell nacho cheese sauce. I'm going to have to try that one. Even though I have yet to make one of your recipes, I do love your videos so much. A while back, I wrote on one of your videos that you reminded me of the vegan version of Alton Brown. Your so awesome. Ne who who thanks for the comment. 😊
I was SHOCKED when I happened to see this at Taco Bell and had to try it. I also really liked it. I even asked to make sure they gave me the right cheese. lol
Your commenters are the MOST annoying. Thanks for posting this. I introducted you to my husband like 2 years ago and it's been a gift that keeps on giving because even though he's not vegan he loves cooking for me and is so excited when something like this hits the stores near us. He's literally coming home from Taco Bell now. We love you ❤
The fries are legit if they're fresh. The vegan cheese is great, too. Consistency is exactly what you would expect from nacho cheese. Just waiting to try the vegan crunchwrap supreme now!
@@zakiyah2252aww… my dad was raised in Valpo. I have been feeling very nostalgic missing him and the members of his family we used to visit every summer. Seeing you mention a small town in Indiana made me feel a rush of so many memories!
i don’t believe they wouldn’t know bc almost all factory made vegan cheeses have a specific SWEET plasticky after taste that regular nacho cheese doesn’t have. regular nacho cheese is def plasticky but it’s not sweet. the only vegan cheese that doesn’t have a sweet plasticky after taste is Boursin’s plant based cheese, which is crazy bc it’s made w plasticky Follow Your Heart lmao
I could definitely tell the difference, however I really liked the taste of it still quite a lot. Like if Taco Bell just said "new recipe" and didn't tell anyone it was vegan, I wouldn't even complain. This is the type of vegan food people should be open to trying, it doesn't have to start as a lifestyle change, just another "type" of food to choose between
I love the nacho fries. Unfortunately, the cheese actually tastes like nacho cheese, and I have never been a fan of nacho cheese. I was hoping it didn't, I guess, lol.
I was surprised, because I REALLY didn’t like the “cheeze” dip. I’m usually predisposed to like plant-based versions of things - especially cheesy-tasting things - because real cheese just doesn’t like me anymore, and I miss it. So it was a big disappointment for me. 😢 I’ll probably try it again, eventually, because sometimes things get better after they have been “tweaked” a few times.
As a non-vegan who tried Taco Bell’s vegan nacho cheese, I couldn’t finish it. It was vile to me lol. I really tried to like it, but after bite number 2 I just throw it back in the bag and ate my fries without it
I'm pretty sure I'd know the difference, I've never had anything vegan that I didn't know in the end it was vegan. Vegan food doesn't taste normally. I'm pretty sure there's loads of people who can tell everytime you give them something vegan
I would bet against it. I did a blind taste test where I asked people to chose out of 10 different nuggets which one was real... no one could tell. I did the same with cheese. No on knew.
@@SauceStache I'd take that bet my man, idk how to explain it but vegan food has this odd aftertaste to it and the textures are a bit off also. That nacho cheese kind of looked like plastic and had an off color to it. Immediately could tell that
I hope this doesn't disappear like the Beyond Orange Chicken at Panda, and so many other veggie options at fast food places. It's so weird-- these veggie options tend to be pretty successful but then they get nixed. Why??
You are such a good cook and you have made such enormous strides in your health. Why in the world would you consume this trash?? 🤔🤔🤔 I simply cannot understand it! 🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾
Because just like a lot of people I don’t cook every meal every single day. I don’t want to…. Sometimes I want some junk food and there is nothing wrong with that. Taco Bell’s vegan cheese is mostly chickpea based anyway. I’m pretty happy with the ingredients they used.
@@SauceStache That's fair. I get that. Look for some healthy options you can have on those days and prioritize your health over your palette. I do have made great strides in my health, however, I have life-threatening health conditions that caused me to make those strides. So going back is not an option ever... Not if I want to continue to live. I have prioritized my health over my palette. I have looked for recipes for all the junk food. I would normally desire and replace them with healthier options. So I still have chocolate cake, banana pudding, peach cobbler, etc. they're all scrubbed recipes with no sugar wheat yeast or gluten. I hope that I will live for a long time and you too! ❤️ I have been enjoying your channel for a long time.
@PepeMetallero that's not true I worked at McDonald's and it's in the fries themselves. Do your research if you wanna be vegan. The fries here are vegan.
A few reasons. But one is I’m lactose intolerant, regular cheese makes me feel awful, but I still enjoy it. So why not have a vegan cheese. Along with the idea of the torture cows go through…. It’s pretty rough to be constantly impregnated then have your calfs ripped away simply so you can provide milk on a constant basis. If it tastes the same I see no reason why it shouldn’t be vegan.
