I'm a Nigerian but I have lived in Senegal for the past 18 years, rice is Senegalese national food and every home prepare rice daily, Senegal jolof is unique in its on way depending on the restaurant or home you eat from,likewise Nigerian and Ghanaian jolof rice

The taste of Jollof is solely dependent on the freshness of ingredients, the techniques employed in the preparation, the cook’s in-depth knowledge of the ingredients and how they compliment each other and a pinch of love! I’ve had extremely delicious rice from Ghana my motherland, Nigeria, and Cameroon. I’ve also had Jollof that left very little to be desired from the above mentioned origins. 🤗 I’d love to see a video of the preparation of Jollof by the originators of this amazing dish while you’re in Senegal 🙏🏾💕 One love bro.

I'm from cap verd and i love senegalese food, specially thiebu dien and poulet yassa, ones of the best african foods!

Here in Senegal we have hundreds dishes based on rice. We have cebu jën which means rice and fish it's what you call jolof rice in English speaking countries and riz gras in French speaking countries. We have yassa, mafé, thiou,soup kanja, daxin, etc... We even have sweet ones like soomby which is a kind of milk rice. Excuse my English.

This jollof rice is really amazing...Gambia and Senegal are actually the same in every aspect, tribe, dish and language... almost everything we share in common... just difference in official language..

Thieboudienne (white and red), maffe, boulette, yassa, caldou, Senegalese couscous, domoda, etc. I'm Jamaican and give a big thumbs up to Senegalese culture and their food. Viva Senegal. Senegalese women are just beautiful, very refined and feminine (not obese or overly fat, I know Ill get some hate from that statement but my preference is slim).
