I Tried The Russian Sleep Experiment

It's not that they just tried not to sleep, they used a special gas that prevents the body from falling asleep and that's why the results were horrible.

The Russian sleep experiment was a creepypasta. The only reason they stayed awake for so long was because the Russians made a no sleep gas, and the reason they were so creepy looking was because they ripped eachother apart.

If u didn’t know they sprayed a type of gas on the victims so they don’t sleep 😴 which was a success

Staying up for 48 hours is already pretty bad tbh. I’ve done it before, I ran into a lot of walls, started hearing stuff, and was tired yet couldn’t fall asleep. It was weird.

Pretty crazy how much even the tiniest amount of sleep helps. As an example candidates in BUD/S only get two blocks of 15mins sleep through 5 days of hell week. I always figured those blocks were next to useless due to all the physical exertion but after this video I realize they are the main thing that keeps the candidates from losing it.

I did this when I was a kid, (I was unaware of the Russian Sleep Experiments at this time) and I saw hallucinations. Things I saw were this man, wearing a red and green plaid hoodie, eating a sub, with no face. I also saw this cloud full of these black and white baby heads that looked like they died while crying. When I went to my dad, he kept making weird faces, or so I thought. While I was talking to him, I saw this man in the hallway, which was wearing a white jumpsuit, white gloves, and a white classic "comedy" mask. Ever since then, I didn't stay up in my bed for as many hours I think I was in my bed that night.

I think the Russians created a gas to keep you awake to increase the productivity of soldiers but the test subjects went insane and ripped each other apart. But 48 hours with no sleep is a very impressive feat great job Dara 🇮🇪

I have stayed up for like 3 days before but to be fair, I had video games, tv, school, stuff to actually do. It's tough without anything to do. I would be interested in a video where you tried this again, but instead of being in a cell, you give yourself access to stuff to do the entire time

I did 7 days in my youth coming off hard drugs. After 3 days you start to see things in the corner of your eyes, On day 4 I saw a clock move across the walk, on day 5 I was talking to the floor and everything was moving in the room. Day 6-7 I was full-on seeing people and talking to them and just laughing, btw I was in the hospital by this time, as I was highly dehydrated and not in a good way. Then they knocked me out with drugs. And I woke up feeling great. Never never again. Granted I did get 15 mins to sleep on some days but the cravings, being sick and restless legs kept me away, the first 3 nights I didn't sleep at all, day 4, 15 mins, day 5 30 mins but I woke up being sick which scared me so didn't sleep which was huge mistake.

For the Russian sleep experiment I believed the gases that were given to help keep them awake is what drove them insane and made them stay up for so long

I've actually stayed awake for over 48 hrs on probably 3 or 4 occasions in my life for different reasons (no, not drugs) and never found it as hard as you made out. Maybe because I was doing stuff which stimulated my mind and kept me from feeling super tired. Probably a lot harder if you're just stuck in a room with nothing.

Iv'e done around 90 hours before, you start to have very simple hallucinations in the corner of your eyes like moving your hand and reacting to knocking a glass off your desk for a slit second then realising you didn't touch the glass.

They used a special gas to keep them awake and when they went off it their body's got so used to the gas that they would scream out asking to be put back on it but when they were put to sleep medically, so that doctors can get a look at them they died as soon as they close their eyes

the reason they probably went paranoid after 5 days was that they possibly were military trained to had jobs or hobbies that led up to surviving 5 days before the paranoia kicked in

ive stayed up 3 days before its not that hard.. you just feel everything is slower than it is bc basically your reactions get nowhere near as sharp. I've done 5 days with only 1 hour of sleep each night too but that was not even bad but a lot of the reason i stay up is bc I work like 18 hours a day and i also want to have a life ya know so i dont really have much time to sleep.

I think that Russian sleep experiment might be true. If someone would torturing another person every time someone wants to sleep it might be true.

During the Russian sleep experiment they use a chemical-based stimulant to keep them awake so maybe next time use coffee, because coffee has stimulants or use other caffeine stimulants, any who this is a good video I love it

Its not just that they also had a horrible gas that made them crazy , not eat food , eat flesh of others and not even let their eyes closed

they were without food, without gas, and + sat there for a very long time, so you survived

the world record for staying awake is 11 days officially. in the Russian sleep experiment the subjects started eating and tearing each other up after just 9 days. if that doesn't straight up tell you it's a fictional story then you should know that the story was written in 2010 by some dude name OrangeSoda on a creepy pasta forum, and it's not that well written. if you read it there are many contradictions and errors. but narratively it's ok.

In the Russian sleep experiment they had used a special gas to help them stay awake. At the end when the scientists turned off the gas they were all screaming for more. When they finally went to sleep, they died.

If you see this Dara, MrBallen made a video about the Russian Sleep Experiment. He is a former Navy SEAL who does YT vids on True Crime (and other mystery stuff too). He said the RSE was actually some creepy pasta crap someone made up. (I don't know why he made an actual video about it then.) Butin the story he said the guys were given some kind of drug and that each time they fell asleep for a few seconds, they were actually dying. It's a fictional story. Also, there is 5 day period during SEAL training (which I think is 2 years and 11 months in length) where they're only alotted 4 (four) hours of sleep during those 5 days. Not 4 hours a night. 4 hours throughout the 5 day Hell Week.

The Russian sleep experiment is a creepypasta,in the experiment they used a gas which makes the body stay awake and it took 3 days to have one of the prisoners to rip there voice box out and the others started the rip themselves apart and on day 15 the soldiers try too get in the camber but one of the prisoners killed a soldier,They tried to give them surgery but they all died when the get them the sleeping gas.

If the prisoners finished the experiment, they would be released after 30 days

This is nowhere near the real thing if you want to re-create it you would’ve had complete isolation and no one come in the room

The longest I went was alittle over 3 days. I couldn’t sleep at all. If I went and laid down, I would just toss and turn. So I watched movies and played games the whole time until I passed out.

he only did one part of the experiment, as I am learning the experiment rn, so they used medicine for every 3 hours and they only used 30 minute cold showers.

I'm sitting at almost 38h awake as of this comment, been playing video games. Not really sleepy, so I settled in to watch videos on RU-vid, (less stimulating) so I can wind down.

i would assume the gasses they used would mimic a high dosage of methamphetamine as i grew up around people who had been heavy users of methamphetamines they could stay awake for 2+ weeks because of them being so hooked and gone on them

He would've lasted if he had things to do... Idk about gas , but when i was young , I had some sort of mental issue thing where i had drugs prescribed to me to energize myself at least that's what i felt it did . The pills accelerated my heart rate and made me really energetic to the point where there was once i took 3 at one go as i was extremely tired and i could felt my heart pummeling . I then had an idea to see how long I could stay awake with the meds as i had nothing to do and could last 2-3 days awake gaming anyway . I took the meds on the 3rd day when i was feeling sleepy and it worked . However I could only last 10 days until I gave up not because i was sleepy . My temper grew significantly to the point where the someone slightly touches me , i'd want to chew their face off . My parents said i looked super pale with massive eye bags and i had no appetite at all . I also started to not go to the toilet for days . I couldnt game anymore as the short loading times pissed me off to the point where i smashed my keyboard and when a phone had a short ring , i'd get super irritated . I didn't get any hallucinations though , just that i felt like smashing everything that makes a noise or touches me.
