Tina, you forgot to sauté minced garlic with the butter before adding the cream to your alfredo sauce. That might be why it was a bit lackluster with flavor. I'm going to try this recipe, it looks amazing.
If you ever have trouble opening a jar, flip the jar so the lid is against the table and use an unsharpened knife (or something long and flat) and try inserting it between the lid and the jar. Releasing the air inside the jar will make it easier to open it! 😊 always works for me and I don’t have to ask my husband to open it lol
You can also use something heavy to smack around the edge of the lid to break the seal. The easiest way for me though is to break the seal by flipping the jar upside down and getting all the sauce to the top (the side with the lid) and then giving the bottom of the jar a good couple smacks with the palm of your hand. When there's a loud popping sound you know the seal is broken 👍
True I always use a knife put it under the lead to release the air inside and easily can open the lead after that. It only takes one second! It’s an old hack learned it from my elders
I think the problem with the fruit roll up ice cream is because they Australian version is different from the American/Canadian version, I did it with lemon skyr popsicles and it was really good! I think they're thinner here
I think the Australian version also has some fruit in it where as the USA ones have no fruit at all. The addition of the fruit prevents the candy from hardening enough to crack when bitten... at least that's my theory.
I missed this series and Zenn and Cam and Alfred and the KITCHEN CHAOS✨😭... Thankyou so much for bringing this back Tina I missed your sharp cooking skills too😂❤️
Fun fact: a wooden spoon across the top of an open pot will stop it from boiling over! For when you don’t have a lid or don’t want to put a lid on it 😊
The salad is very similar to a dressing we have in Brazil that we usually make to go with barbecue, and it is delicious! But we also use bell peppers, and we use vinegar for the acid part, sometimes we use soy sauce. I love it
I discovered that noodles taste awesome if you cook some soup and then boil the noodles in it. Plus, eggs are a must (I generally crack an egg open after the noodles are cooked, right before I take it off the heat - the yolk stays runny and it's absolutely delicious with the soup). I also love to add a little bit of butter on top, once it's off the heat - so the cold butter melts a little as you eat it. And, add cheese if you have it. Game changer with the butter and the soup. The soup makes it really filling too, so that's awesome.
As a Persian it felt amazing to see our traditional Shirazi Salad recipe including in your video. I'm so happy. I love you and your videos dear Tina. Can't wait to see more from you.
Tip, if you want to open up the lid of your jar, use a little spoon (the spoon side) and place it underneath the lid (just where that pointy side is) and give it little push and then you can open it up without a problem.
Sooo glad that you came back with this cooking video, please make more of these videos! By the way, in Russia we eat this kind of fresh salads really often! You can add green onion as well as parsley, coriander and other green stuff to make it even healthier!
@@tina_yong the brand name is "betty crocker fruit roll/ups" If you google fruit roll-ups american it's the brands with the green text & the swirl for an "O" ! Also I hope zen's thumb is ok! 😅
Yummm, ur salad shirazi looked great! It’s a famous Persian salad from iran! I’m really glad you liked it, it has always been one of my favorites growing up! It’s always refreshing and a great pair with persian food as well!☺️ love your videos 🥰
As your Persian subscriber it made me so happy that you guys liked the Shirazi salad! It's my favourite salad and you're right, it's a staple in Persian partys! So happy that it earned 2 thumbs up💗 Ps, omg I hope Zen is ok!!! Poor thing
you should do a video where you do all the comments reccomendation re-do's! for ex. the fruit rollups, try it with american fruit roll ups! for the cream of mushroom, use half the water, etc etc! it sounds like a good video to re-watch it turning out successful
Tina if you’re having hard time opening a jar of anything u can like smack the bottom part of the jar either with your palm or elbow then try to open it again
Love these!! It should be a series. Aw man you should’ve shown the thumb!! Haha hope you are better Zen. You should use Adobo to season your meat, along with the other spices and Worcestershire sauce it gives it really good flavor.
When opening jars if you're having a hard time, turn it upside down and tap the bottom. If that doesnt work then you can use a knife to loosen the lid a little to let in air. Using a combination of bot is sometimes the key.
Hi... Ouch to Zen for her effort in helping and got hurt... The part with the fruit roll up.. omg I gave that a go too.. and it didnt work out good for me either... I nearly had the same experience with them like you.. it was not unrolling nicely.. and it was hard to bite into with the ice cream.. and it was stuck to everything in my mouth with the roll up.. .. This was a fun one to watch .. always love your shares..
I feel like I may have learned this off RU-vid lol but running the jar under the faucet with hot water always does the trick. The lid usually twists right off after that. Thanks for another great video Tina 😊
If you have trouble opening a jar shove a spoon underneath the part that's caved in on the lid and it should let a bit of air in and it'll be easier to open
with the ice cream and roll up situation, I've heard that you can only use the American ones because they have more sugar, therefore making it crunch. I hope this helps! :)
I always open stubborn jars with pair of kitchen gloves. They just create this perfect grip. Another advice is to flip the jar so the top is on the bottom, then softly hit it on a kitchen counter, softly but with enough force. After few hits it usually opens. Just make sure to hit it on a flat surface and on a flat lid angle
I have two kitchen tools I'm thinking of that can be useful! For cheese grating (and this is totally dependent if you have a kitchen aid or not), you can get a cheese grating attachment set for it and it does all the grating for you. It's super quick and there's no worries of slicing fingers 🙈 and the other, for the jar, you can get little lid silicone grips that make opening those super tough jars easy to open. My kitchen wouldn't be complete without it 😅 LOVEEE these videos! They're my favorite ☺️
For the fruit roll up I would suggest to get vanilla and to get a multicoloured one with no print on it and make sure it’s not already stuck or kinda melted when taken out of the package and also to freeze it for about 10 mins hope this helps ❤
The next time you have a problem with the jar not opening just try to loosen up the led with a tip of spoon so it reduces pressure inside the jar, it works every time 👍👍
I have recently made the shin ramyun hack, it says that u need to put 250 ML of water, half of shin ramyun spices and half of the campbell mushroom soup. It will really reduce the amount of soup n it really does turns out to be very creamy. It taste like Carbonara with a slight kick of spice. 👍🏻
Hello, Love your videos🥰 I'm actually from Iran and I was so excited to see that you are using this Persian salad recipe in your video, So happy that you like it🤩
Hi guys the salad that u made ull find it in alot off arab homes if u like add a can off chick peas strained and also chopped cilantro the same amount as the mint garenteed ull love it
a little tip for jar opening. If you have those like, bottle openers? that look like hooks, not rounded ones, you can use them to pop the lid a bit so it opens much easier.
A tip for the jar situation at 9:34 -- use a rubber band (NOT a hair tie, a legitimate rubber band) around the flat outer edge of the lid and the try opening it, I use it on occasion. Another is running the lid under hot water for a few seconds (haven't tried that one) to get it open. I saw both tips online, and the rubber band trick has helped me out on numerous occasions, and I even surprised my dad with that as he had never seen that trick before and was shocked. Hopefully these may help anyone else out who sees this :)
First off, i felt her pain 🥲🥲 my thumb actually started aching and second for the jar try next time loosing it with a knife, like from the sides try to slide it in (some tries until you hear a clicking sound? Idk what it is😂 some sound) so the air pressure comes out it becomes much easier ❤❤ hope it helps ❤️🥹🫶🏻
A tip for most sealed cans with a lid like the pasta sauce. Try tapping the edge of the lid several times on a hard surface (a table) before opening it. I think it helps loosen the air that keeps it so sealed tight. If you cant open it the first time, keep tapping the lid again. I normally can open it on the first or second try.
love these tik tok recipe videos! another jar opening hack is to take two rubber bands and put one over the body of the jar and one over the lid. gives you more grip when you try to open it! i bet you could also just wear rubber gloves on both hands
Omg..... look who is back withh Tiktok recipes....♥️♥️♥️...I missed your trioo.....pls make 3 ingredients recipes..... it is very fun to watch your recipes videosss....once you start watching her video there is no going backkkk😍😍😍😍😍⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️... I loved your videos so muchh♥️♥️♥️💜💜💜
to open jars I have one trick: I use a flat, thin object. Like the tip of a cooking knife and push it carefully between the lid and the jar thread. then push it a little bit upwards until you'll hear a click and then the jar should open easily. Just be carefull that the tip does not break or deform.
I'm itallian American and we make homemade sauce and I definitely reccomend making your own sauce some day it makes the whole house smell amazing and homemade sauce is always better than store bought.
