That pie is adorable!! Quick tip on opening jars. Smack the bottom of the jar with an open heal of your hand and the top will twist off easier. Hope that helps :)

Preserves are generally 1 fruit, cooked before being added to a jelly/syrup. Conserves tend to be more than 1 fruit, and usually cooked within the ingredients, to make more like a jam. Think of it as "preserving" the fruit in something, as opposed to cooking (the CO of Conserve) the fruit :) Thats how my nan taught me the difference anyway!

So, there is a guaranteed way to open jars. Here in the US we have a type of hand held can opener that essentially cuts a triangle in the top of a can. If you place that pointy piece under the rim of a jar and pull it outward, the center of the jar will "pop" and the jar will open easily. Works EVERYTIME!!!

That pie is soo cute!!! Also jazzy. I looked up a recipe to make CLOTTED CREAM. (heavy cream in an oven for 12 hours.) could you test it out and let us know if it tastes like the store bought? I've been wanting to try it ever since you mentioned it in a video!

So cute, well done! 😊❤️ Also I'm in Australia, but I wish @hellofresh / #hellofresh would add gluten free, dairy free/vegan, seafood free options...as sadly im all 3 😅 I eat meat and veg but would love gf Lasagne with df sauce & cheese, or mash potatoes without dairy. I'm not good at meal prepping my own food. So I just would like to see it as an option for myself & potentially others who may have the same issue. 😊

Just for next time put flour on your rolling pin to prevent sticking and butter your pie pan then lightly sprinkle with flour. Then shake off excess

How to open a jar, GIRL STYLE: take a spoon. Put the spoon’s🥄 eating side inbetween the lid and the glass thing. Press down on the spoon and you will hear the jar release the air. Then open it

Smack the top of the jar with a butter knife ...give it some good whacks all around the lid top edge where it grips the jar...it works every time

Rub a little bit of flour onto your rolling pin, your dough won't stick to it then. When you can't open a jar, give it a good whack on the bottom with the palm of your hand. It helps pop the seal of the lid making it easier to open or you can run warm water over the lid for a bit, Both work well.

If you have problems with jars, they sell little silicone pieces that can help you open a jar, or, if you lightly turn the jar, upside down lid side and smack it on the counter, that works or take a knife and lift up on the underside of the lid that also works

Little trick when a jar is hard to open...Hit the edge with the back side of a knife. I always do it four times. One on each "side", just to even out the dents lol. It will help losen the seal and make the jar easier to open. No men needed 😆

I always use a spoon to open hard. Put the edge of the spoon under the lip of the lid and force the lid away from the jar. The seal will break and it will open easily.

Hint for the jar. Take a spoon and put it under the edge of the lid and lift the spoon up until you hear a pop. That’s what I because I rarely have someone who can help me open them.

Flour ur rolling pin and also roll from the middle out then turn and roll from middle again that way the pastry won’t shrink from the edge of the tin x

Tip for rolling pie dough - roll from the center out, not back and forth. It came out so cute!

If u want to open a itfhr bottle u can bang the lid twice on the edge of the counter and there u go it will take the presser out

Another top tip about jar lids, tap around the edge of the jar lid onto a hard surface :) it works

When I have trouble opening a jar, I grab a butter knife and hit the lid around the edges with the bottom of the knife and it pops right open after a few whacks 😀 or like someone else said hit the bottom center with your palm a few times or just give it a good whack against the countertop works too. The pie was so adorable!
