Wine Blending has always been described like alchemy but it can't be that hard right? Let's go behind the scenes to learn about wine blending in the lab with Austin Hope, the man behind Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon - which turns out to be a special kind of wine blend you might not realize.

I live in Paso and the Austin Hope Cab has been my favorite. So many great wine blended by Austin. The estate grown Grenache is also fantastic.

A few years ago, I subscribed because you were so cute. You still are, but I’ve hung in there and paid attention and I’m really learning much about wine.

Creston has gravel soils! Gravel retains heat! So yes, the air temperature is cooler. However the soil temperature is warmer. Clay soils retain water better so that serves as a cooling effect on the soil. Due to this, Geneseo soils are often cooler than Creston despite the difference in air temp. Madeline, you were correct with identifying the qualities in this video. Focus more on soil temp and you would have nailed it!
