"it didn't end well for Conor" Not surprising. The sheer volume of food in a single sitting... I would be intrigued though, if it was spread out over three sittings during the same ride. We have atleast proven Conor is no 'Muscles Glasses'
Keep Dr. Bridgewood away from poor Conor, the man's got two small children. You have James to experiment on - a good, sturdy lad already used to the harsh demands of science.
Ollie using David Goggins quotes to encourage over eating, and Conner doing the whole meal in full kit including helmet. Doesn't get much more unhinged than this!
The David Goggins quote is golden too, I say it all the time 😂 but I think that applies to physical endurance and not how much food can one person eat in one sitting 😅
it's not too bad for a group. I guess depends on how much does a hotel buffet breakfast cost per person over there or how much are the individual items.
II was thinking the same. Minus the meat, that's very close to what our family of seven eats for a breakfast at home, and it's more like $100 if we go out for breakfast in the US
@@gcnI’m surprised you’ve never covered the “The Yorkshire Beast” ride, it’s by the far the toughest one day event in the UK. Just over 200 miles and 18000 feet of climbing!
I actually think I felt the ripple of the aftermath that came the morning after this....I thought it was an earthquake, but was merely Armageddon the next morning for Connor!
At the level crossing.... "I keep seeing cafes and I'm shuddering" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Brilliant.!!! And Ollie's blatant disregard for Connor's health..... Have a sausage 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He will bike till his legs break if he had too maybe not a pro cyclist but definitely can push himself harder then most he probably bike for days 😂 just because someone said he can't
Ollie's laugh @ 7:27 might be the greatest " Supervillain" style laugh I've ever heard. Now he just needs a terrifying name, like "Dropper Man" or " The Climber" - On a serious note, I greatly enjoy everything you guys do. Nice work once again!
Hank and Conor need to get together to give Ollie one of these evil challenges, given the way he's been doing them wrong lately. To be fair, Conor had to agree to this insanity. The real question is: on his slender frame, where did all the food go?
As I said on the video with Hank fuelling like a pro (but on gels etc), Ollie is really starting to relish being GCN's resident mad scientist/evil genius. He's clearly been practising the laugh!
People usually get compassionate at that point. Ollie’s joy when he gets to force them to do damage to themselves(forcing coffee on Hank in another video) is actually uncomfortable
That would have been epic!! Considering Beard is actually quite fit, even the ride back with the banter going on would have been premium gold content!!!
@@exothermal.sprocket lol not offended. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Personally, I think it's an impressive talent to be able to eat that much, that quickly.
Haven't we had this one: poor Conor got stuck eating only fats, Ollie was protein, and Manon carbs (ride food)? I had trouble watching that one; this one was much worse. Kudos to C for taking it on. It was either very brave … or the other thing!
I am very impressed by how much Conor actually ate and by Ollie for just drilling through that ride, also burning these calories and looking so fresh, he probably finished the challenge all by himself
@@gcn Actually, I think I have. I believe you can get real time glucose monitors these days. How about getting two riders, or one rider on two occasions, to a situation where they are glucose depleted, then test how much faster, if at all, that scientific nutrition products assist in regaining normal glucose levels, compared with more traditional foods.
I mean, that’s horrible - and yet somehow the best video on RU-vid bar none. I felt so sorry for Conor - I couldn’t wait for him to get on Dr. Bicycle so that he could start the recovery process. Poor chap. Did you make it back to Bath in the end?
Conor IS the Spirit of Gravel! Giant goofball✔️ Willing to eat garbage and go for a ride✔️ Willing to push through crazy weather✔️ Up for crazy long rides✔️ Doing it all with a smile✔️
Two excellent videos in recent weeks on Dan's health journey and Ollie on counting calories. And then .... this? If I wasn't laughing so hard, I'd be complaining about whiplash. 🤣🤮
Haha! When taking part in an eating challenge you soak the bread in the water so it slides down and hydrates at the same time.😂😂 Got to admire Connor's spirit
