You forget, he is in a very privileged position to copy Joey ideas as his editor now he's also in Japan. I'm pretty sure as he edited Joeys video he was thinking " thats a nice place, I should pay them a visit myself"
@@lucasprestes Mudan's videos are still more unique (even if short) compared to the rest of TT. When was the last time the TT boys went outside and do something not directly related to anime? Mudan did explore and gave us more videos about some Japan events/places in a month than the TT boys in years. That gallery, the office items store, the SHOGI PLACE (that needs a whole arc), the strawberry/local specialties event...
Glad to hear you will go back there to pick up the forgotten toilet review and go pro, and finish the rest of the menu. Such dedication to the arts, simply sublime
The gacha experience is amazing, those silly animations were so cute and keychain is adorable. I love sushi, but I can’t eat too much. Hope your stomach is ok, ‘cause y’all definitely overdo it a bit and finishing your sushi journey with raw meat didn’t look like a good idea. I appreciate your suffering for the content but please take care of yourself 🙈
Kura Sushi is a fun restaurant to go with friends ❤❤❤ I love grabbing the plates for them ❤ Thank you for ur videos, Mudan ❤ Now i wanna go to Kura Sushi again ❤
3:46 Aged fugu at a conveyor belt sushi chain? Fugu is that notorious poisonous pufferfish. The restaurant preparation of fugu is strictly controlled by law in Japan and only chefs who have qualified after three or more years of rigorous training are allowed to prepare the fish. But people who prepare this at home are typically the ones who get fatally poisoned.
@@racingmaniacgt1 Seems by the statistics that the only ones who die by fugu poisoning prepared this pufferfish at home. And the food reviews remark on how bland and nearly tasteless it is.
Is this the time we tell Mudan that dipping your sushi rice-first into soy sauce is a big no-no? At Kura Sushi, nobody cares but if you do that at a high class sushi restaurant, you will get some weird looks from whoever prepared the sushi for you. Pick the piece up by its side with your chopsticks and tilt it so that the FISH side hits the soy sauce.
I love me some Ebi but I’ve never had it ‘raw’ other than in ceviche and even then it’s basically cooked by the acids, not sure if the sushi preparation is the same but yeah, I wouldn’t be down either, and I love sushi of all varieties. Also, AGED FUGU?! That sounds like a poison you’d get in dnd to kill the BBEG
I would try fatty tuna again from not a revolving sushi bar. I always feel like the cuts are much thinner and lower quality. At least the kura sushi i went to in the usa. It’s like buttery fish melting in ur mouth 🤤
Fun (not so fun) fact. The pickled stuff is actually daikon / radish, not ginger at Kura sushi restaurants. The pickled ginger is a dish you have to pay for. I also recently went to a Kura in Osaka and wondered why it didn't taste spicy like ginger normally would.
I’ve had very different experiences based on the time of night (normal/early dinner vs. near closing time) and would advise going earlier for a better experience.
Honestly, I had a bad experience with sushi and wouldn't want to try raw foods again. Hope you can rescue your go pro! Maybe give them names or get name suggestions to help remember them? Like Steve or Joey. XD
Day 5 of asking Mudan to start in a random area of tokyo and trying to find as many small hidden or big cool shrines as he can in a day :) (maybe you could compete with babysitter and foxy to see who can find more?)
I'm so sad you didn't get nearly through all of them. There's this extremely slimy raw squid (I think) sushi, including eyes and everything. I didn't try it but my friends hated it. Also, you need to try that squeezed berry cake dessert, it's insane (and actually not bad, although I could never finish it alone) and costs ~800 yen. By the way, we had around 60 plates and only won once, and the ball was stuck (and we were too lazy to ask the staff). We paid 16,830 yen which is by far the biggest bill I've ever seen at Kura Sushi (though we were five people, so per person you two definitely beat us).
Day 13 of recommending Mudan to go to Eigakan, a Jazz / Japanese Film bar run by a former 60s Japanese film director. Just go there and enjoy the culture. Don't even make content.
Holy moly 9500 yen for both of you? Considering people on average spent 1000-2000 yen on conveyor belt sushi chain (I'd say 2500-3000 pax max) you guys sure demolished your own stomachs
Pro-tip, you pour a few drops of soy on the fish part of nigiri. The rice isn't traditionally eaten with soy sauce directly. Keep up the great work! Have been a watching every day.
@@yanoriff8744 still though. If you average out to 7 plate each person that's 7 USD per plate. Plus Kura isn't a fancy place either so that's why I feel like it's expensive.
Gotta be more original my man. There a billion things you could do differently the the same thing your friends did the previous day. I thought the goal of doing this every day is to get better. You won't do that by cutting corners to save your editing time. A 9 minute video takes very little time to edit, no matter how long the original footage was.
