Kayla, you need to leave the paint off the platform until after the stairs are placed. Not sure why, but many of the platform paints block stairs from being placed. Have encountered this frustrating glitch myself.

My first thought when I saw that you have to copy and paste the building each time for each version was that you could make a completely different building depending on the event. Does it make sense? Not at all, but it is very chaotic and kind of gives time traveler vibes

I didn’t realize you have to save them separately, i thought it would’ve saved altogether. I also don’t build on the dynamic lots so I guess maybe Eco lifestyle has that issue too with the community centers

if i was a sims builder i would totally make a storage room for the auditorium and put all the different event stuff in there when theyre not being used,, like the balloon arches and career day banners (and just make it inaccessible to sims so they dont go in there 💀)

Thank you for including an accessible-like toilet. I know it's unnecessary in the Sims, but as someone who uses a wheelchair I really appreciate when someone represents that in the Sims. Unfortunately sometimes it feels like the Sims makes disabled people more invisible as we're not represented in these digital worlds we inhabit, and it improves my mood so much when someone remembers we exist.

my sims have never had a graduation ceremony. maybe the game saw that i had 2 high school graduations and decided, “that’s it, that’s enough for you”

the normal auditoriums stage is one tile farther out than the other lots

I remember for my graduation and others at my high school we’d hold them in the gymnasium. The school had a giant tarp they’d put over the basketball court to make sure none of the chairs or anything they placed on the floor would scuff it up

I rebuilt the auditorium as well. My auditorium build is still basically just a box, but at least it's a box with a roof. I'm currently playtesting it before I upload all the different event versions of it to the Gallery, and it's taking a while to playtest because I have to wait for all the different events to roll around -- I've already playtested Career Day and Prom, and now my Teen Sims are aging up and getting ready for Graduation. In my build, the default Auditorium looks like it's almost ready to be used for a school play or choir concert, with a piano and a few microphones, a couple of the acting marks from Get Famous on the stage floor, and a partially complete mural from City Living on the back wall of the stage as if some of the students are painting a backdrop for the school play. For the Career Day version, I put down the required tables and a few computers, but I also added some tables and chairs, a few vending machines, a photo booth, a selfie backdrop, a music player and one of the cardboard dance floors from Get Together as if the school had set up a hangout spot in order to make Career Day seem like a more interesting event to the students. Prom is decorated in white and lavender with dim crimson lighting, and as far as items go, it's mostly just the standard prom stuff with the addition of a Get Together dance floor, as well as one of the Bubble Blowers from City Living hidden out back because we all know what kind of shenanigans some teens get up to at prom. Graduation is graduation, I tried to make the decorations look more stately and serious. Lot Traits for all the versions are Natural Lighting to up the selfie game, and Party Place so that hopefully our Sims can complete all their event tasks and still have some time left over for us the players to do the storytelling we want to do.

hiii i’m not sure if it’s a lighting glitch or not but i noticed that the banners/ceiling streamers in the graduation version are black in a random spot and gold everywhere else

I bought this dlc last week and quickly replaced original school with yours ☺️ I was thinking it would be so cool if you had the option to sort builds in gallery by the actual lot you're in. I always get confused since my game is in a different language and names are all over the place 😅

Kayla, your videos are the highlight of my day. I just love relaxing after work and watching your videos. You're such a fun, kind, and amazing person and I'm so grateful to get to see your community thrive.

I did a gym sort of lot for the defaut, with basketball hoops on the main level, and a mezzanine area for cheer practice. For each version, I tried to keep the same furniture to mimic Sims redecorating for specific events, for example, the benches I placed for gradutation, I stacked in "balconies" in other versions, etc. Prom decor is stored in an attic kind of place above the stage where's there's also hypothetical drama club decor, etc. I'm really happy with how it turned out and it is functionnal in game.

I literally just finished renovating my auditorium too! I went through the same process figuring out to build the auditorium then save it to the library to copy for the subvenues. I didnt upload to gallery because i didnt think the subvenues save on the gallery

I loved decorating the career day, i did more tables and made up a career for each colour. Decorated around that, so doctor would have a skeleton next to him etc.

feel like this lot type could be something to add to every where. like where I place a park, I could easily change it to a wedding venue - so the wedding stuff isn’t up at all time. did that make sense?

Would you consider redoing them but without any pack limitations? I know it will be a headache, but I think it would be really cool!

Renovating the auditorium is a great idea. I think the gurus choice to make each type as a separate download so players can decide which ones they want if they don't want all of them.

I’m a teacher the one school I’ve worked at with tiles like the one you put in was built in the 1930’s it was a private all girls school. I’ve also seen “fancy” tiles in public schools I’ve visited but they tend to be older schools.

you really nailed it with this one imo, this build reminds me Exactly of the multi-use aud space my local elementary And high school used. suddenly remembering the grade 8 grad, the dances, the fairs we held there. and!! ad a wheelchair user i super appreciate the accessible washroom!! even if the sims doesn't have wheelchairs I still appreciate someone thinking of us 😊

I never saw the graduation set up in this building because it glitched every time ^^

With the stairs on the platform i always place them one tile out and then move the stairs and it will let you move them up to the platform 😊

our cheer mat was DISGUSTING half of us started to refuse to do anything but stand/jumping on it

For prom the venue should be reconfigured to allow for a table that can be used for placing a birthday cake on it. That way the sim could age up at prom by blowing out the candles, increasing the likelihood that the sim can be elected prom royalty.

I changed mine to match james small version and the prom is a completely different building

It's funny bc i JUST rebuilt the high school and auditorium for my save 😂 made mine a gymnasium with a basketball court

One little thing I discovered on accident when building my own auditorium. If you want to playtest a certain version, you just have to save and quit the game from build mode and the next time you load into the save file, the auditorium stays the version you left it at and you can then visit it. Not sure if this might break anything, as far as I can tell it doesn’t, but I would always use things like this on a special „building-savefile“. I hope somebody might find this helpful! :)

I am trying to download auditorium builds off the gallery, for which there are usually 4 different uploads, but when they are placed it changes the lot type to "generic" and you are no longer able to use the tabs to change from formal dance to career day ect, then if you exit and come back all the lot types are changed to the one that was downloaded and it changes back to auditorium.. no idea how to fix this :\

I’ve been playing the pack since it came out and NONE of my sims ever got the graduation ceremony, I have no idea why. They just age up and the diploma is immediately in their inventory, nothing happens in the next couple days. 😢

I like the exterior and interior ideas but it seems a bit small
