I HAD to copy from 2:28 to 2:33 and send it to EVERYONE I know. I was seriously in tears laughing. Your reaction was priceless! Thank you. ru-vid.comUgkxAG4V9c3BaRVtv9301skAWFNmQzlXfGE9
I don't know how this video only got ~2k views. I got more joy out of watching it more than any thing else I saw on RU-vid, at least this whole week! I love it so much I'm commenting how much I love it, and I never comment! Keep it up my dude. Love your content!
I tried making this today for the first time today and I had similar issues with the crepes. The original recipe said to heat it on low, but my crepes weren't cooking. I realized that I had to turn the heat to medium-high, ladle in the batter, and then after swirling, turn the heat down. Then when the ends fold up, flip the crepe and then turn the heat off. Then wait a few seconds. It turned out so much better that way. Also, if you use a nonstick pan, you shouldn't need any oil (or if you do, it's just a tiny spritz). If you use more than a tiny bit of oil, the crepe batter absorbs it and you get an oily crepe.
havent been here for a while, happy to see your finaly breaking through, i found this channel at like a few hundred subs. it took long, but happy to see its finally kicking off for you buddy :) as a chef this is slightly cathartic for me
That was awesome Jamie, loved your matcha face- I've never tried it either. I always know something bad is going to happen when you use a blender, even though you have a new one! Thank for the vid!
Used to make hundreds of crepes when I worked at a Japanese bakery. We would add matcha to the cream too. Japanese desserts aren’t overly sweet so I guess it depends on your preference.
My daughter loves matcha but in frappuccino form at Starbucks. Will try to make this at home. I think it was a good try for you who hasn’t made crepes before! For someone who doesn’t like too sweet crepes like me, this is worth a shot.
I used to get green tea ice cream in NYC china town. you have to balance the sweet and the bitter. More sugar? this was fun. (Someone needs a crepe pan but I won't mention any names)
I saw you put 3-4 scoops of matcha in there and knew you were in for a surprise. Matcha powder is concentrated tea and full of natural chlorophyll. A little dab'll do ya if you are looking for color, and a little more for that earthy grassy flavor. Maybe 1/4 of what you used is enough to give the crepes a delicate taste with a bold color ✨️
I think you might like matcha mixed with white chocolate better in a dessert. I made matcha cupcakes once and they were really good (just added matcha powder to my normal vanilla cupcake batter.)
Making crepes is a little bit challenging the first time!!! You have to find your rhythm and move fast!!! It looked pretty good!!! I like crepes a lot! Good job! Don't stop making videos 🙏👍🏻
I finally watched this one I have green macha tea also but....count me out of making this Jamie ...nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo But my heart is always 100per cent lighter when i watch every video you make me laugh and laughter heals dont change anything you do in your videos be your self its fun and I love them....Stay safe. : )
I feel like you found my channel around when I first moved to Brussels, right? I think I had 3k subs back then... it’s been a long, slow climb...but we’re getting somewhere!
@@antichef whatta memory! I think I found you just as you were moving to Belgium. As much as I don’t like algorithms, I’m super grateful YT suggested you. You’re my go-to channel!
Ok so firstly you'll be fine with the heat now as it's been raining and cold for a couple of weeks in England now. Secondly you did great with pancake/crepe system and lastly I suggest adding vanilla or white chocolate which pair really well with Matcha
U only need to trim the crepes edges, if this is your first time making it, I am impressed you can put the filling evenly in each layer. The key is you got to keep the uniform thickness of both the crepe n filling cream. most people who make it for the first time they don't make it uniform so the cake will doom at the top. Just don't forget to trim the edge 😘
This might be a dumb question but if you were planning on making this cake why not get a real crepe pan ?….regardless well done looks great . I love anything matcha flavor so yuuuuum🎉
I just don’t relate to the heat. I’ve lived in Texas my whole life 58 years and it’s hot here. I live in Houston area and we have air conditioning in our house. So yes, it’s hot. If you go outside up to 100 and more but when you’re in your house you know you set it at 70 so it’s nice and cool lol.
Pro tip - stop using metal in your nonstick pan. It was scratch it up, it will lose it’s nonstickness, and the nonstick coating is carcinogenic so you do want that ending up in your food
Totally thinkmthey are only going fo4 the dramatic coloring ...its yucky ...I would totally flavor my crepes with maybe spinach and a lovely savory cream cheese flavored chantilly creme type filling, maybe better than matcha for St. PADDYS DAY , BRUNCH, BRAVE TO HAVE DONE THIS .....l love your channel...
It was created with trendy foods to look cool on the gram with no thought put into how it would taste. Maybe there's one place that serves it purely for the novelty of having a "crepe cake." Even if was made with sweet ingredients, that many layers of crepe is going to be unpleasantly chewy with almost no filling to carry the flavor. Just a whole lotta layers of dry, chewy, bitter and bland. And, no, I don't know why it triggered me so much.
Doesn’t look appetizing at all. I love the look of the pastel color layered cakes but never had the patience to try it. That peanut butter cake you made looks way more amazing!!!
Crepes are so easy. You have made more complicated things. You needed to watch a tutorial on how to spread the batter on the pan. It was for sure a technique issue and matcha desserts are really really good but i think your recepie was not ok. Not enough sugar and the ingredients you use were very heavy flavors.
